The Talk Of The School

The dismissal bells who hums throughout the school was what energized her the most. Being joyfully dismissed from her first morning class wasn't the only thing that was unusual. As she got up from her desk the pounding of her lipstick hitting the ground caught to her attention.

Bending over to her well-favored lipstick thwart wise underneath the fifth forward desk. Seeing a photo left under the desk in front of it. "Lai, what are you doing?!" said a familiar voice that gave her goose bumps. Recognizing the beat up converse; of course it's Sammy. She grabbed the photo and lipstick putting the photo in her pocket with a huge hole. Not even bothering to stare at it. They begin to march to the door as soon as the photo fell out of her pocket landing under Sammy's beat-down sneakers. He stopped at a fast pace taking photo from underneath his shoes.

"Lai, do you remember how we searched around for the owner of the old jacket."

She turned to wondered into his eyes with confusion. "Yeah why, is there a problem and why bring this up now?"

His eyelids drooped as if she knew the answer. "Oh, so now you wanna play the role of Patrick Star?," he sarcastically said. She face was blank and lost with words. Slowly raising his left eyebrow up when still giving a stare to make a her confess. He looked at her from bottom to top; "Are you say who you was out partying with last night?!" She walk closer to Sammy as he shove the photo in her face. "It's a boy?!", she said staring at

Sammy.

"I give up", he said as she backed away from his swinging arms with the photo. Causing himself noise bleeds due to stress. "Great now I'm bleeding from your lack of knowledge." She gave him a tiring face. "Came on let's go to our next class", as she drag him through the hall.

"Uhhhh....?! Can you go any faster" Lai rolled her eye at his statement. Proceeding to have across the hall; "Sammy please be grateful that nobody like you how I do." He eyes begin to form waterfalls. With a sniffle she paused to look at his appearance. Laughing as she continues to dragged him to their last three courses. As they hear murmuring about a strange new student.

"So who is the boy, Lai," questioned Sammy. As he orders from the ice cream truck. She gives no answer while tying the leather jacket around her neck at the picnic table. A starring contest ended between them as soon as it started. "It not my photo", said Lai. Lai turned to the side at Sammy annoyance. Seconds later a pebble get thrown as against her head.

"Ok, listen Sammy" I DON'T KNOW THE BOY, Ok?" No reaction was attended other than him slowly sliding the picture across the ice cream and sherbet dripping table. She observed the photo for the one-hundredth time; "Sammy I-." A finger touches her lips. Lai looks up at him; "Look at his clothing choice not his crispy lips that touches your greasy forehead in the photo." Her eyes scanned the square sheet of plastic. Eyes widened to the sight of photo as she looked at her bib.

"It's..... and I'm...?!", said Lai processing her mind. Sammy gave her a deceiving scrunched up face. Continuing back to his research of buying a lock to his bedroom.

"Sam Sam?!", Lai said for attention. "Never call me that,.... ever again!", He said with a straight face. She got up from the table and smacked him across the back of his head with the photo. "Sammy we're going home", said Lai with a demanding voice as she grips his hair.

Racing up the staircase to the bedroom with their undivided attention to create the rampage amongst them. With a huge slamming of Sammy door to purposely interrupt his mother's "Tuesday book club" she warned him about. As they hear his mother screeching they both gave out hilarious gestures mocking her voice.

Sammy runs towards the computer as Lai got dress with one of his huge T-shirts. He searched up the name while carrying Lai weight above his shoulders. Lai slowly let her face sink into Sammy's fuzzy hair as she wait for a response. A huge slam pressing on the keys shuddered the peaceful silence of the room. Lai slightly tilted her head up seeing the commotion. Lai slides her hands on his chest. Feeling his heart rate he firmly grips her hands as if they're stress ball relievers.

He lifted his head up to Lai feeling her hair brush against his cheek. Giving her full contact; "How about we continue this search of yours tomorrow." She left the chair with agreement.

All day Lai got zero sleep in the past 8 hours. Alarm went off Lai was missing and out of the sleep pallet he made for her. His eyes went straight to the desk. Seeing a body shaped lump in the seat he walked up gently and calmly to the lump. He snatched the cloth right off. Seeing that it was a blanket realizing how ridiculous he looks the sight of his eyes wondered into the doorway. Lai stood there frozen just glancing at Sammy hoping he'll find his common sense.

"Breakfast is ready, said Lai motionless face." He proceeds to exit out of his bedroom door ignoring the silence passing between them. As soon as a conversation started the two darted out of dining room. Know the next topic was most likely going to about relationship. With Sammy's mom making kissy faces to torture them even more than what it has to become.

His mother grabs Lai shirt; "No matter how hard the times might became always hold him close by you for dear sakes." She nodes of tearfulness throwing her dish in the sink. She thought about the speech as raced up the stairs getting the message between the lines.

The walk to school felt longer than usual do to construction work on a coffeehouse. "Can't we just take bus or car like any other human on this planet," said Sammy trying to create excuses to prevent his self from ruining his sneakers more. As if that was possible.

"Trust and believe me,"Sammy it's best for health, said Lai spitting out facts. He groans and stumps louder to his aggression.

"Just so you know I'm sorry I spitted in you bacon and eggs," said Sammy with a grin. Lai spudded out a hunk of her saliva on his white kicks, "it's too late to apologize now, boy." She said as she tugged his hair and toughly rub his head. "That's for assuming I would look up the boy name." Said Lai creating awkward eye contact with the crossing guard across the street.

She jerked back to her side of the sidewalk and drag aside Sammy along with her. Sammy look back in disgust; "can he see teo best friends joking around with each other." She gave a questioning face; "I think he just jealous of our forever playfully fights with each other." He broke the silence; "Or maybe he thought we're dating." Lai smacked him on the back of his head without guilt in her presents running up to the sight of the college campus.

"You must really love get socked upside the head keep you playing with me, Lai," said Sammy panting. Taking sight off of each other with silly faces. One second both of their eyes connected to the huge crowd in front of the school for two days in a row. Next thing you Lai's colliding with the crowd itself without Sammy paying enough attention.

She tugged, push and pull throughout the audience like it was nothing to get front row seats. With Sammy catching to grip holding on to her shoulder dodging each punch she through back. Having one sub sandwich touch his sneaker a flagrant expression apparently made Lai realize that he's s still alive.

"Aww, you still alive, Sammy?,"said Lai disappointedly. Sammy gave out sarcastic laughter. Hoping she not telling the truth between the lines. "Well, we arrived at our destination unlike all the rest," said Sammy looking back at their bruised colleagues. Lai ignored Sammies ignorance as focusing on what everyone's putting all contacts on was more important to her. Slowly sliding his hands off her bare shoulders to managing a better view. Holding the photo pinching her fingers until she identified the mystery topic from the students.
