The Devouring Menace | Omni-realities

I somehow became Ralph in Rampage after a short meeting with a Primordial sicko. Well, I was tired of being human and that didn't make feel bad. But you know, life as a monster isn't easy. I have only one job to survive... To evolve and keep on evolving until I become the apex predator across all realities. *** A/N: MC's power is the same as the Zerg. The Awakening

***

The people of the world, especially the Pan Pacific Defense Corps, had been dreaming of a moment to just relax ever since the extra-dimensional Kaijus began to spread catastrophe across the Rim.

They hadn't had time to take a breather and they have always been on alert against those agents of destruction. A war that had spanned decades with their losses and despair increasing with each upgrade of the Kaiju category. The wars were won but humanity suffered the most damage.

The Kaijus kept on evolving, getting better with each appearance but when a weak race is pushed toward the edge of extinction, they wouldn't bow down easily and come up with a decisive counterattack.

The humans did just that by sending two of their best Jaegers to put an end to the Kaiju wars and forever cut off the connection they shared with the Anteverse.

Constant anomalies manifested in times of crisis and the PPDC were faced with another threat - a being physiologically different from the Kaijus they had usually fought. It was an intelligent creature of dread from another space-time.

The Kaiju Research department's scientists gathered whatever intel they could get through observations before analyzing the data.

From the factual data, came the theories since they didn't know more than what they were shown unless further observations were carried out.

The Winged Fenrir or Alien Lupinus as Newton Geiszler liked to call him, predated on the Kaijus and seemed to have no interest in tiny inferior existences like humans. It was a theory suitable to explain how both Mori-san and Rayleigh could even escape its perception and direct confrontation. That was only an act of mercy; an act of being deemed worthless to even serve as its dessert.

Like how a human would look at an ant and feel that it was extremely feeble and easily squished, Alien Lupinus viewed the humans as such.

Anyway, that was only the surface and there was more to dig about the otherworldly walking catastrophe that could easily consume a nuclear reactor equivalent of approximately one gigawatt in one fell swoop.

And when the wolf disappeared through the Breach, they lost all the connection with him.

The satellites couldn't receive any signals beyond the Breach.

With the Breach still being active and the Precursors still alive, how could the PPDC let the matter escalate further?

With the help of both Newton Geiszler and Hermann Gottlieb via a kaiju-human neural drift, the information they found left them confused, and in disbelief and nearly rendered them vegetables.

There was simply no information whatsoever. It was as if all the Kaijus had ceased to exist. There were no images of the Precursors in their cloning facilities, no nothing. They were only met with a wall of perpetual darkness that threatened to consume all wills and mental probes.

They treated that moment as one where they could easily deploy another set of thermonuclear warheads due to the lack of active Kaijus to interfere.

Even then, that didn't deter Mako Mori, who took on the reins of her adoptive father's command, from leading the attack.

They used two years to create a Kaiju clone from an already existing Kaiju DNA from a deceased Knifehead. They dubbed it "Project Sacrificium."

This went against the scientific research code of conduct and ethics but the times they were experiencing were harsh to humanity.

The clone was meant to act as the sacrificial lamb to open up the gates of the Breach and for the Jaegers to do the job.

It was the only one that had been minimized in terms of size and weight and could be remotely controlled. (Uprising Drones.)

No one was going to sacrifice himself or herself like last time.

Mako Mori couldn't allow it after witnessing the death of her Papa, the only parental figure she had after the inevitable demise of her true parents.

Year 2028, "Operation Pitfall" finally succeeded as the interdimensional tunnel was destroyed for good and the unknown variable, the wolf, sealed off in that godforsaken dimension for good. Basically, killing two birds with one stone.

That day came to be known as "Salvation Day", meaning the day humanity delivered themselves from the threat of extinction and the Kaijus.

It was a matter to be celebrated after tireless decades of wars.

While humanity reveled in a lifetime of happiness as they picked up the pieces, they were unaware that the wolf they sealed off in the Anteverse was deep in a slumber of evolution.

And due to temporal misalignment between the two different planets, the time that had come to pass within the Anteverse was, well, a very long one.

Within the Anteverse,

A crystallized cocoon that pulsated with endless vitality began to slowly crack.

CRACK!

CRACK!

A silent thump of a vigorous heart echoed incessantly indicating that the living entity inside was about to awaken from a long sleep.

Arcs of blue lightning zapped around the cocoon, scorching everything around it.

CRACK!

Finally, the cocoon broke apart to reveal a magnificent gigantic wolf whose fur was as dark as the abyss. Its serene visage had four indescribable eyes that evoked eldritch horror and reminded one of a world beyond the comprehension of man.

The wolf opened its mouth to release a yawn, further exposing multiple secondary eldritch maws with sharp teeth that spiraled like a hypnotic maze.

Its fur shone with a crystalline light due to the living, armor-like thin carapace covering its ginormous body.

The huge wings that were supposed to be on its back were no longer there, deemed obsolete after the evolution.

The dorsal plates on its vertebral column had grown smaller, almost like secondary spinal protrusions. Red energy thrummed within those dorsal plates, just waiting to unleash untold destruction capable of incinerating everything in its path.

The wolfish aberration then gazed around for a moment before looking above, at the ceiling of the dimension.

A look of disbelief and hatred marred its expression.

"Why the fuck did they seal me in this barren dimension, those paranoid Neanderthals?!" A deep animalistic growl reverberated all over the Anteverse.

The wolf could talk? That wasn't part of the script!
