First Raid. Chapter 2
Chapter two first raid
Alexander looks around at his crew.
Okay boys we are close to are target now. You new kid, do you know how to use that thing? Pointing at Hayden's sword.
Looking down at his sword then back at Alexander.
Yeah, I trained with my father daily.
Practice is nothing compared to a real sword being swung at your head. Lucky for you we're going against farmers and maybe just a few men who know how to fight. Shouldn't be a problem.
Yeah no problem at all Hayden remarked.
Alright boys just ahead Alexander said pointing in front of the boat
As Hayden turned his head Green fields as far as the eye can see, beautiful white clouds filled the sky and where there weren't clouds a crystal blue sky was there. Farm land fills the ground with a small village in the middle. Groups of people filled the market why others plowed the fields.
Alexander puts his hand on Hayden's shoulder
beautiful right, nothing is more beautiful than a nice piece of land just asking to be raided.
Hayden is looking forward to the village.
How do I, you know, raid?
Alexander and the crew look shocked at the words spoken by Hayden.
You Grab whatever looks like its worth something, never forget to grab gold,skill,furs and iron. And you kill anyone who gets in your way. Got it?
Yeah, Sounds easy.
Hayden said.
The boat crashed into the land and the six men charged the village screaming. The villagers run away in fear, why others charged the raiders with pitchforks and scythe one lady charged with a chicken leg.
Alexander rushes in cutting down five farmers with ease. Hayden rushes in and 3 farmers meet him face to face. The first farmer charged with his pitchfork stabbing at Hayden. His pitchfork was blocked and now stuck in Hayden's shield. The other two rush from the sides of Hayden. With 2 men rushing him and one man trying to get his pitchfork out his shield, Hayden pushed forward, dropping the first man to the ground and then stabbing his sword into the man charging from his right. The last men thrusted his weapon into the head of Hayden.
Dropping his head with seconds to spare he flung himself into his enemy causing him to stubble just in time for Hayden to cut him down.
After his successful battle Hayden looked around and see a man about the cut one of his crew mate back. He quickly grabs one of the pitchforks and yells
HEYYY! BEHIND YOU.
Then quickly launched the pitchfork.
The crew member looks behind him just in time to see the pitchfork go through the chest of his assassin. Raising his sword up in the air as a way to show thanks.
Hayden goes back to raiding and stops at what was once a blacksmith shop but is now a burndown forgotten workplace. A nice shining sword meets his gaze. Picking up the sword and noted it had more weight to it then his sword but was of much higher quality.
Where Hayden's sword had zero grip, this sword had a nice leather cover on the handle. Where Hayden's sword cross guard was small and didn't really protect the hand. This sword had a long crossguard that could protect his hand 10 times over. Hayden grabs a sword sheath he had also seen and puts it on the opposite side of his hip then his own sword.
Walking out of the burned down stall, a soldier was down the walkway. He was taller than any farmer, compared to the farmers this man was going to be a problem, he had armor, a spikey ball connected to a handle by a chain. Hayden also noted that his weapon was covered in blood.
You bastards think you can raid,kill and burn our villages! This is our village, not yours black wolf.
Hayden prepared for a fight, readying his sword and shield
You can have this village, we just want the loot.
YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS.
The tall armored man ran straight for Hayden with so much speed it was unbelievable.
Swinging his ball and chain causing Hayden to just dodge. Looking for an opening that just was never coming, Hayden swung his shield into his enemy causing his enemy to stubble and causing Hayden to stubble also. Looking at his now destroyed shield, as well as cut and bleeding arm, this does nothing but anger Hayden. He grabs his newly found sword into his left hand. Now arm with a dual swords. Hayden now makes the first move, still manly dodging he uses his swords to make openings.
Hayden chops his sword down blocking his attacker and then kicking his foe right into the chest. Angering his foe. The battle continues and it is becoming more one sided. Hayden saw his opening and a clear way to end it. So as the spikey ball came down Hayden chopped into it causing it to wrap around his new sword. Hayden pulls his sword hard, making the other man to be pulled forward. So Hayden lifts his sword up and stabs the tall armored man right in the head. Ending the battle. Hayden pulls his sword out, and cheers.
YES! TAKE THAT WOOOOO. I'M UNBEATABLE.
[CLAP] [CLAP] [CLAP] [CLAP]
Alexander clapped his hands.
Congrats kid. You managed to kill a gray snake. Now we head to their camp, you think you're ready for a whole camp of guys like that?
Of course. You see this guy? There is nothing from the gray snakes that can kill me.
Oh really. I like your fire. We're done here so we're heading there now.
Alexander said with his arms crossed.
Done? There is still so much loot here.
Hayden said with a look of being confused
Yea, trust me kid i know. But the gray snakes killed another squad so we had to head there fast. Another squad with less experience will come here and take the loot for us.
A look of sadness covers his face
Oh yeah, before I forget. The man you just killed. He took one of our members. Cut him down, and headed over here. I was stuck fighting others.
I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't even know his name.
Hayden said, putting his head down.
Don't be. His honor was restored by your sword. But we should head out now before the gray snakes take anymore of our men.
Hayden and Alexander head over to the others and head out to meet up with the other crews.
