Chapter 9

"There used to be an excellent king in the beautiful kingdom of fae. The king was named 'Valkor' his beauty surpassed that of any woman... and he could use spells stronger than any mage." Red rose read the mural of the temple.

'Is it reffering to that boss?' Raven began to remember the floating cloack man back at the chamber.

"Rumors of his excellence were spread to neighboring countries." Red rose said. "His influence was so strong that even the citizens of neighboring countries wished to serve him." She began to the next mural.

"A perfect being bound to have numerous enemies. The neighboring countries envied the bellatrax kingdom that possessed such an excellent king. Thus, they soon declared war on fae." Red rose began to analyze and read more mural.

'As expected in every universe, multiverse and omniverse, they will always people who are jealous, envy and threatened If someone is stronger or surpassed them.' Robert know this because he have seen and know many people like that.

"In order to protect the king, the eldest son of the former king, his brother armand used dark magic and led himself to corruption." Red rose show the description and painting of the knight that look exactly like in the chamber boss before.

"The kingdom's archmage, Beltegus offered his body to a tree spirit to gain stronger magic." The description show a mural of the guardian who guard the boss chamber.

"Valkor was devastated." Red rose said, picture of valkor kneel and put both of his hands on his face. "All he wanted was the peace and prosperity of the kingdom and it's people."

"The subject who followed him and the citizens who looked up to him. Valkor, who couldn't stand to watch everyone being sacrificed in the war, built a giant fortress that couldn't be apporached by anyone. And that place is–" Before red rose finish reading the murals raven finishing her words.

"The Tower of Liberty." Raven now know the history behind the existance of teh tower of liberty, he once heard his master said every towers and dungeons must have a history or purpose for them to exist and now he see one of them.

"So, in the tower of Liberty..." red rose was going to continue reading the murals on the walls suddenly heard a sound behind her.

Red rose and raven see the aource of the sound to found a broken cross on the ground near raven. "What the fuck did you do?" Red rose shouted, she is pale and panic.

"Um... I was just going to touch the cross but suddenly it got broken on it's own." Ashmond said.

"If you recklessly break things in the temple... you'll never know what might happen!" Red rose said, she is pale and nervous because ashmond just broken a piece of the temple and didn't know what will happen.

"What?" Ahsmond said, he didn't think of something might happen if a piece of the temple is destroyed, he just thought this temple is nothing but an old building.

Raven suddenly sense a powerful magic coming. "Something is already happened though?" He look up at the wall, there is shining blue light.

The three of them look up to see big blue magic with a man comes out from the magic circle.

The is a man floating with an ancient white armor with blue stripes for a person who is lean muscular build, white robe with hoodie, wearing white mask and shining blue light on the eyes of the mask, a big size head metal circle with with four triangles floating behind his head, and big blue magic circle behimd him.

Ashmond is stunned with the system warning, he see the quest and the difficulty of this boss is SS-Rank. He is shocked of the sudden quest of the system and see the boss is looking at the three of them.

'There is no way in hell we would beat this monster.' Ahsmond had fear and cold sweat ran on his face, he couldn't imagine fighting this strong boss monster, he might have items from the previous completed quest but It's still not enough to kill the boss.

Red rose and raven will be not help of a much either. 'Basicly, There is no way out and we are going to die in this place.' Ahsmond grit his teeth and his hands are trembling gripping his sword. He didn't want to die here, not when he still not get red rose and many girls out there.

"Wh-What is that?" Red rose surprise to see a floating armor man and terrfied because of the strong aura that man emits.

"That guy might be Valkor ." Raven look at the new boss with solemn.

"V-Valkor!" Red rose look at raven in dibelief then look at the supposed the arrival of the new boss. "I-If that man is Valkor, Does that mean–"

"Yes, that guy is the boss of this Tower of Liberty." Raven said.

"I-If that guy is the boss of this tower, what are we going to do?" Red rose said, they are in tigjt situation and right now the boss of this tower have come out.

"Isn't it obvious" Raven pointed his sword at the boss. "We are going to defeat him."

"What!" Red rose shout, she look at raven as if he was a man who is ready to commit suicide and ahsmond also think the samke as her . "Are you serious? There's no way... that boss might be more powerful than the guardian and the previous boss monster."

Red rose pointed her finger at the boss. "Just look at his aura and magic power, he's so powerful." She grit her teeth and anxious.

"Do you think we have a choice?" Raven glare at red rose and spoke with his deep voice. "We can't go anywhere unless we defeat him, he might also going after the other hunters on the boss chamber."

Red rose began to silence and think of raven's words make sense because they can't get out of the temple so they didn't have a choice but to defeat the boss and she also worried the boss is going after her guild members.

"Didn't you expect something like this to happen?" Raven glanced at sophia.

"No, I was just planning on inspecting the temple and leave." Red rose took out a device with red button from her inventory ring. "Bybusing tjis teleportation device!" Red rose show the device to raven and ashmond.

"But now..." She weakly said.

"Right, you can't use it now." Raven understand because hee device won't work because of the arrival of the boss. "Since teleportation devices are unable to be used when a boss is present."

"This place is a boss room now!" Raven said.

"I have gave you a chance." The boss is gathering mana on his hand. "Yet you even dared to trespass on holy ground... I cannot overlook this."

"I shall punish you." The boss body shine with bright white light and the room suddenly change into space.

Strong wind came out of knowhere making the three hunters shield themselves using magic or cross their arms. "KYAAAA!" Red rose screamed as the light consumed the three of them.

Valkor teleport them into a huge room chamber where he casted illusion magic each three them, he casted illusion spell about each of their nightmares so they will go crazy and slowly die.

The three of them are trap in illusion magic.

Raven is having a dream about him sorrounded by fire, he see his parents are killed by monsters during dungeon break and many innocent people die.

Red rose and ashmond are also having bad dreams about their worst memory of their life that makes them suffer. Red rose luckily get out of the illusion magic first after 10 minutes of having to see his worst memory of her life.

Raven succeded wake up to reality and ashmond is last to get back to reality because of the system protecting him from illusion. "It looks like all of us are back to reality." Red rose look the three of them are now waking up.

When they began to regroup suddenly an evil and black aura came in front of them. "An explosion, just what what is?!" Red rose cover her eyes using her hand.

The black aura began to dissipate revealing an all black humanoid monster with two swords, they begin launch his attack on the three hunters.

They see the black humanoid creatures attack them begin to dodge. 'Just what is that creature?' Red rose thought, she can feel an evil and strong energy coming from the three of them.

Raven lauch a surprise attack from behind to the monster but the monster notice him and block the attack using one of his swords. Ahsmond call upon his undead soldiers ordering them to attack the black humanoid monster.

The monster push raven out and begin to kill the undead soldiers, red rose take out her dual daggers and begin to help the undead soldiers. The monster is too fast, he easily block and parry their attacks wih ease. 'Shit! What the hell is that monster? He easily kill my undead soldiers and parry red rose attacks.' Ashmond is trembling and anxious see all his fighter and tanker soldiers are one by one are dead by this monster not to mention he can block raven and red rose attacks.

The monster launched an X cross sword energy attack at red rose and undead soldiers, they see the attack begin to dodge while the others who are too late to dodge begin tondefend themselves.

The undead soldiers who makes contact with the slash are dead while red rose begin to raise her dual daggers to defend herself. 'Shit, I can't dodge this attack, I need to defend myself.'

Red rose is waiting the monster's attack to make a contact with herself in front of her but suddenly there is a person in front of her to block the attack. "Hunter Asmond!" Red rose said, she is surprise the man block the attack in front of her.

Ashmond grit his teeth while blocking the attack using his sword, he tried to stand his ground. 'Fuck! This attack is more powerful than I thought.' He tried to defend the attack of red rose so she will be thankful and have a favor for him.

The attack is still continue for a minute then disspeared, ashmond succeded on blocking the attack. 'Glad that was over.' He sigh in relief, he thought he was going to die but luckily the attack was over.

He felt a hand on her shoulder to see red rose is on her right. "Why did you block the attack?" Red rose said, she think ahsmond action is unnecessary.

"Well... my body just move on my own." Ashmond said, he smile at red rose.

Red rose is surprise by ashmond answer and sigh. "Thanks for defending the attack for me but... you didn't need to get yourself killed for me." Red rose said, she thank ashmond and it was unnecessary for him to block the attack for her.

"Like I said, my body move on my own and I can't just let you die. If you die your guild will be devastated by your death." Ashmond saaid, he tried to think of make up words.

Red rose retracf her hand from his shoulder and look down. 'He is right, If I'm dead my guild members will be devastated and the guild will make a huge loss of strong hunter not to mention my friends.' She think ashmond is right, she can't die here and she will get out alive.

She look at ashmond smile at him. "Thank you for ahsmond, now I know I need to survive, so I can see my friends and guild members again." Ahsmond see her smile at him begin to make happy noises on the inside.

They suddenly heard a huge explosion in front of them, they turned their gaze towards the direction where the source of the explosion happened. They see raven and ashmond are staring each other far apart.

"Hey." Raven shout to red rose and ashmond surprising them. "If you two already finish talking, why don't you two help me defeat this monster."

"Right, sorry!" Red rose nod and apologize to raven. "Let's join him to defeat that monster and we'll talk later." Red rose said, she ran to join raven fighting the monster and ahsmond is disspointed he can only talk to red rose for a moment, he then ran to join them defeating the monster because he don't want to die.
