Chapter 10
Outside of the chamber, Valkor is floating from the ground with his right hand raised and see the light in front of him above him. "No one can touch this place."
"I will make it once again. My kingdom!" Valkor said. "The kingdom will gain it's prosperity! Fae's glory..." He is determined to make his kingdom glory and prosper.
Suddenly valkor heard a footstep on his left, he looked to the left to see robert is standing a few meters away looking at him. Both of them are wearing a mask so they can't see each other expression.
"Who are you?" Valkor is surprise to see a man standing beside him. 'Who is he, how can I not feel his presence?'
"I am just a hunter." Robert said, casually.
Valkor didn't accept robert's words began to manifest magic circle from his left and right, but before those two magic circle blast him robert punch him on the face send him flying to the wall with his mask cracked.
"Starting now, you are my opponent." He take out a golden sword and wield it. "Let's fight, Valkor!"
Valkor is shocked he was sent back easily by this man. 'What the fuck, how did appeared in front of me so fast and punch me with ease?' Valkor still feel pain from that punch on hisbface but he just brush it off.
"What... What happened?" Valkor slowly get up from the rubble and stand. "Who are you and where did you get that strength from?" Valkor is curious of this man power because not many people can punch a boss monster like him with ease.
"Hm, I don't know. I will not tell you because I have a secret of my own to keep." Robert run towards valkor using his super speed.
Valkor see robert run to kill him stretch his left hand to his left cast blue magic circle with the size half of his body. Blue magic circles with the same size he casted appeared from above, left, and right.
They fired blue energy magic attacking robert, there are tens of magic circles from above, left, and right. Robert dodge them with ease using his super speed, his speed is so fast normal people or low rank hunter or monster can't see him moving because he is too fast.
Valkor is shocked and shed a drop of sweat see the hunter just dodge his magic energy lasers with no problem not to mention, he is more shocked about his speed so fast he almost can't see him at all.
Valkor cancel his magic on his left hand and stretch out his right hand with blue magic circle in front of robert. He blasted robert with blue energy magic and robert just take the hit causing dust to appeared around him.
Valkor see robert didn't dodge and waited to see robert's corpse. "That's it?" Robert still standing with gripping his sword.
Valkor is shocked see robert is okay from his attack and his clothes are a bit tattered. Valkor immediately cast blue magic circles 360 degrees from front, behind, above, down, left, and right.
"Aegis!" Valkor chanted his magic and the blue magic circles sorrounded robert begint to barrage him. The blue circles around robert suddenly crack and destroyed.
Robert leap towards valkor but valkor cast shield magic in front of him to defend. "Come Valkor, Let's see what you got." Robert begin to use his godlike swordsmanship skill and powers on Valkor.
Robert also use his foot to kick him, they begin to move around the room so fast all hunters or monsters below SS-Rank can't see them. Robert and Valkor exchange their attacks and defenses from each other, robert finally landed a blow on his face sending valkor back to the wall he just destroyed from robert's punch before.
He slowly slid back down and look at robert. "Are you... toying with me now?" Valkor somewhat can feel the man he is facing now is holding back on his strength.
Valkor engulfing himself with bright white light, robert run towards valkor not giving him a chance to fight back but suddenly he see blue energy magic came out of knowhere.
Robert easily defend himself using his sword to block the incoming surprise attack. Robert heard the ground crack and see a dragon behind valkor walk out from the huge blue magic circle.
The dragon is at least tens of meters big and tall, the dragon has blue skin and blue crystal on it's forehead. The dragon fire his attack magic from his mouth and valkor joining his dragon casted blue magic circle firing laser magic.
Robert began to put his sword back in his inventory and emit energy projection from his hands toward the magic attack from the boss, the two forces attacks collide with each other in the middle causing an explosion and created shockwave.
The dragon and valkor were sent back away while robert satnd his ground not moving in the slightest, the explosion causing dust around the chamber began to dissapear and revealing valkor and robert are stillstanding.
Valkor look at robert and glare at him. "I have to admit you are strong. You are far the strongest opponent I have ever face."
"Thank you, you are also strong." Robert admit altough he already fought far more strong opponent before, Valkor's power is strong he can destroy an entire continent or continents.
"But this time our fight will soon be over." Valkor said, robert see his sorrounding change into space. "Before we fight, Can you tell me your name?" Valkor said, he needs to know the name of the man in front of him who is equal in power as him.
Robert is silent for a moment. "Cosmos, call me cosmos." Robert said, he didn't reveal his true name but his hunter designated name.
"Cosmos, that name means universe, right?" Valkor said, robert nod his head. "Wonderful name." He summoned three blue dragons with the same size and power from the first dragon he summon before.
"I have things I need to protect." All the four dragons begins gather their magic energy on their mouth. "My subjects! My citizens! My country!"
The four blue dragons begin to launch their attack on robert. "For the Glory Of Fae!" Valkor shout.
Robert didn't say anything suddenly Valkor feel something is off with robert and he got shocked, valkor see all his dragons neck are cut off each from their body.
Valkor is stunned of the scene in front of him see all of his dragons are decapitated, he can feel enormous energy coming to him so he casted a shield with a blue dragon in front of him.
They collide with each other creating shockwave, valkor grit his teeth for trying to defend himself as hard as he could but to bad for valkor, robert has is much stronger than him and the worst part is... robert is holding back.
Robert begin to penetrate his shield and begin to kill the dragon using his mana claw, he begin to move around the dragon so fast the dragon can't react at all, he begin clawed him to death.
Valkor stared in disbelief at cosmos's power and dripping sweats. "Who exactly are... you?" He feel fear and tremble looking at cosmos.
"No... what are you?" Valkor ask, terrified.
Robert quickly punch through valkor's chest grabbing a blue orb stone. "I'm just an ordinary hunter." He pulled his arm from valkor's chest making valkor drop to the ground dead wita hole on his chest.
[Congratulations, Robert! You have defeated 'Valkor', The boss of the Tower of Liberty and cleared the tower!]
Valkor's body engulf in white light. "No..." robert see valkor crawling to him. "I can't die... my citizens... my kingdom..."
Robert only look at valkor without pity or sorry, a minute later valkor fades way in white dust. Robert see the blue orb stone on his hand then look at where valkor fades. 'I wonder what will happen to the boss monsters who are dead?' He thought.
CRACK!
Robert look at his right see the space slowly cracked, robert quickly hide behind one of the pillars, put the stone in his inventory and use stealth ability.
The crack space shattered revealing a bright white light inside, robert suddenly heard footsteps coming out from the cracked space revealing the three hunters.
They are red rose, raven, and ashmond, the three of them look exhausted and messy. Their bodies are covered in blood, the cracked space instanly dissapeared after they get out.
"Holy shit, I'm exhausted." Ashmond said, he is panting very hard and feel his body was about to give out.
"I thought we were gonna die there." Red rose said.
Raven didn't talk but he also look exhausted and seriously injured, his battle gear is almost destroyed and he almost die If it wasn't for their teamwork they would have die there.
Raven look around searching for valkor but found no one. 'Where is valkor?' He is confused see there isn't valkor here.
Red rose notice raven is looking around. "Raven, what are you doing?" Red rose ask.
"I'm searching for valkor, but..." Raven is searching for valkor but he can't see him, he was met by only silence. "I think he is not here."
Red rose and ashmond is stunned by raven's word. "What do you mean by valkor isn't here?" Red rose ask.
"It feels like... he is dead." Raven said, red rose and and asmond is shocked that the boss monster is already dead, they even haven't fough with him yet.
Ashmond began to panic in his mind and remember his quest to defeat Valkor but he is stuuned by raven's words. 'What the fuck! What do you mean by valkor is dead?' Ashmond is worried If valkor isn't here that means he can't get stronger and rewards from the system.
'Wait..." ashmond thought. 'If the monster is dead... does that mean–'
[Mission failed!]
[You failed to kill the boss of The Tower of Liberty and clear the tower. Therefore you didn't get any reward and not dead.]
He is wide eyed, shocked, and disbelief. He can't believe that the boss is dead, when the system trigger a quest for him to defeat valkor he is hesitated becauss the boss is too strong for him but after he look at the rewards which just question marks make him excited.
He is happy getting more rewards from the system so he can become stronger, he didn't care if the opponent is stronger than him because he will get that reward but... now all his rewards are gone because he didn't finish the quest.
'NNNNNNOOOOOO!' Ashmond shout in despair and defeat in his mind.
Raven and red rose are still talking about the boss monster suddenly a portal appeared on their left. "A portal, that means..." red rose know the meaning if a portal appeared.
"Yes, the boss has been defeated." Raven said. 'But still who just defeat the boss monster?' He is suspicious because the bsoss monters just defeated out of knowhere.
"Come on, let's go out of here." Red rose said, the portal appeared when the boss monster is dead and clear the tower.
The portal take them outside of the tower because the boss is defeated, raven look at ashmond who is still standing with a palm face. "Hey, are you coming or what?" Raven said.
Ashmond who is still standing snap out of his devastated dream and look at raven. "What?" Raven pointed to the portal.
"You want to get out of here or you just want to stand there until the tower is destroyed?" Raven ask, ashmond quickly get into the portal befire the tower self destfuct.
Robert use his super speed sneak in to the portal and raven got in last before the portal dissapeared.
The other hunters who are in the fake boss chamber also get into the portal with the drop loots. Outside of the tower a portal appeared near the entrance of the tower of liberty.
The hunters walk out of the portal and they are now at the outside of the tower. "What happened? How did the portal exit open?" Jack said, the portal dissapeared after all the hunters walk out of the portal.
Andre noticed another portal appeared. "Another exit portal...!" He see three shadow in the portal revealing three person walk out of the portal.
"R-Red rose!?" Andre is stunned see her team leader walk out of the portal with other the other two hunters while robert quickly blend in to the other hunters deactivate her stealth ability.
