Chapter 188: Intelligence Collection (Bonus Chapter)

As Michael walked into the room, he listened to the message on the phone and was momentarily stunned. At that moment, a figure suddenly appeared in front of Michael, grabbing his neck and pinning him against the wall. 

It was Selene, who grabbed Michael by the neck and looked at him, asking, "Why are they looking for you?"

With his breathing restrained by the grip, Michael couldn't speak.

At that moment, the room's ceiling suddenly started to collapse on a large scale, accompanied by the howls of the werewolves.

Selene turned to look at the change in the ceiling, instantly realizing that the werewolves had also found them.

Without hesitation, Selene released Michael and immediately drew a specially made handgun, firing directly at the ceiling.

While Selene is shooting, Michael broke free and ran out, crouching and rushing away.

After a round of shooting, seeing Michael already running out, Selene hurried to pursue him but unfortunately she was a step too late, watching him close the elevator and go down.

Meanwhile, in the elevator, Michael saw it reach the first floor and a relieved smile appeared on his face. However, as the elevator doors opened, Michael saw a man staring at him like prey.

By this time, Selene had caught up, having reloaded the bullets in her gun on the way, and she immediately pointed her gun at the man at the elevator door and started shooting.

Several bullets quickly hit the man.

Lucian, hit by the silver bullets, was instantly injured and staggered into the elevator. Taking advantage of the situation, he grabbed Michael's shoulder and bit him.

Shortly after, Selene, who arrived, did not see this scene. Instead, she grabbed Michael's feet and pulled him out of the elevator.

Seeing the prey escape, Lucian didn't immediately pursue but instead took out a test tube from his pocket and spat Michael's blood into it.

Even if he didn't catch the target, as long as there was blood, he could test whether Michael was the person he was looking for.

After collecting the blood, Lucian used his own power to expel all the silver bullets that had entered his body, instantly recovering from his injuries.

Having done all of this, Lucian immediately went after them. By this time, Selene had already taken Michael into the car and stepped on the gas, driving away. 

After running out, Lucian watched the car speeding into the distance and crazily chased after it. Without transforming into a werewolf, only in his human form, Lucian's speed was even faster than that of the accelerating car.

Soon, Lucian caught up with the car and leaped onto the top of it. He then extended a short sword from his right arm and thrust it towards the car roof.

The first two thrusts were unsuccessful, but finally, on the third thrust, he hit Selene's shoulder, causing her to scream in pain.

Sitting at the speeding Mercedes, Selene slammed the brakes, causing Lucian, on the car roof due to inertia, to be flung off and fall in front of the car.

As she watched Lucian fall in front of the car, Selene quickly reversed and, after a distance, stepped on the gas pedal, rushing towards him.

Lucian was hit by the car but cleverly rolled and jumped. Despite not receiving any injuries, he watched the two people drive away. He decided not to pursue them further. 

For him, he had achieved his goals by obtaining Michael's blood and infecting him with lycanthropy.

Watching the two leave, Lucian's face showed a smile, and he then returned to the werewolf's lair.

The doctor, seeing Lucian return empty-handed, exclaimed, "You had to escape as well. It seems that Raze did not exaggerate."

At that moment, Lucian smiled and took out a test tube filled with blood, saying, "But Raze didn't bring this back."

Seeing what Lucian held, a smile appeared on the doctor's face as he walked over and took the blood sample, saying to Lucian, "If Michael is indeed the person we are looking for, then the vampires will..."

"Relax, buddy."

"I've tasted his flesh. There are two days left until the full moon."
