Remembrance

 It was a cool morning, Lith woke up quite early as usual and decided to call his sister for a while before taking his bath. Lith was quite surprised to realize that Carl was not around. After all, he has never been the type to sleep outside. 

 "Good morning Derek, do you perhaps know where Carl is, its quite a surprise not seeing him in the dormitory". "I haven`t seen his shadow today and am quite sure he didn`t sleep in the dormitory". Derek answered." Probably he stayed all night in the library reading". Lith said.

 "That guy barely stays up till two in the morning even with his phone, how much more without his phone. He would be hard pressed to even go to the library to read at night less talk of reading overnight, I would be willing to put my money that guy is out playing games or with Luna".

 "Now that you mention it, I saw him carrying her bag late in the evening and going in the direction of Luna`s house". Lith said.

 "Maybe, that guy seems to have fallen in love with that girl". Derek said, shaking his head lightly.

 "Yesterday after the class, I met this particular girl which asked me to teach her privately, what do you think about that especially since I had previously agreed to teach another guy". Lith asked.

 "Sure you can, if you are sure you can manage it without it affecting your life. About the other guy, just make sure you prioritize him since he was earlier than the girl. You would most likely be doing the classes in the girl`s house though". Derek answered.

 "Thanks for the advice" Lith answered, he felt like he had taken too much time and needed to prepare for class.

 While bathing, Lith found it hard to clear his head as images of Annabel, her beautiful lips and her flawless skin, not to mention the fact that she was endowed in the right places just to his taste. From the moment she asked him to teach her, Lith had already accepted, he just wanted to look professional and not seem like a pervert. He took a deep breath not to lose himself in infatuation.

 Luna was quite stressed from lecture and was feeling quite famished so she decided to get something in the cafeteria. On the way, she was feeling as if she had ignored something when she remembered Carl.

 At first, his presence had been quite annoying to her as she felt he was one of those boys who couldn`t keep their cool around a girl.

 However, as time passed and she seemed to realize that he was well-intended, she began slowly accepting him in her life. He usually followed her around so it felt weird no seeing him for a long time.

 She had to admit that she had missed his presence after all, it has been like two days since she last saw him and wanted to check up on him- at least that`s what she used to comfort herself.

 Carl had just finished his lectures and was about to go to the cafeteria to eat with his friends when he received a call from the last person he had ever thought would call him, he had been feeling bad as he felt his feelings weren`t reciprocated back to him. It felt like someone mopping an ocean.

 "Hello Luna, how are you and how was your classes" Carl asked. "Great, what about yours and where are you" she replied. "Nice as well, I am on the way to the cafeteria with my friends, need anything?" 

 "No not at all, I was also going there and thought we should go together, what do you think". "Alright, I will wait for you" he replied as he hung off. "Sorry guys meet ya at the cafeteria, I`m waiting for someone". 

 "Alright" one of them said. Although they had some questions, since he didn`t say much, they didn`t press further on the matter.

 It took about ten minutes just when he was about to call her he saw her silhouette approaching from afar. He had really missed her, her graceful steps. As soon as she came close, he went up to give her a hug.

 "Where have you been, no message, no calls" she asked feigning anger. Carl found her rather cute when she was angry. 

 "I`m sorry, I was busy with academics, how have you been" He asked. "Doing Great". He replied. "I have missed your company and your jokes, I am famished let`s go get something at the cafeteria". She said. 

 After they ate at the cafeteria, she invited him to her house, Carl tried to keep himself calm as he told himself nothing will happen.

 Luna lived in a private apartment outside campus. Whether the driver was so slow or time slowed down was unknown to Carl as it looked like it was a five-hours drive. 

 Soon the long awaited hour was come as the driver parked in front of her house. "Is your roommate at home" Carl couldn`t help but ask.

 Even though this time was destined to be different as Luna had invited him, he didn`t wish her roommate to be around after all, the experience of an ignored character ruining a perfect plan was still fresh in his mind.

 Luck seemed to smile on him as Luna replied negatively. At least there was a chance here. 

 After they highlighted the cab and Carl had paid for the ride Luna just opened the lock and fell flat on her bed, all the pent-up stress she had been keeping throughout the day finally coming to light. 

 Seeing her like this made Carl sad but there was really no way he could help her. He could only give her fake promises telling her it would get better even though he knew it would only get harder. 

 Soon it was quite late, however, Carl was reluctant to go so he summoned up the courage to ask her " since your roommate is not around, I guess I could pass the night here"

 "Sure, she travelled so she shouldn`t be back till next week". she replied. Lith was caught off guard with that reply as he had expected a negative reply. "Maybe I should press further, today seems to be my lucky day" he thought. 

 Luna had a large be so they slept on it together. Luna was enjoying her sleep which was a relief from a busy day, Carl on the other hand, could not sleep since he was literally beside the woman of his dreams.

 In the middle of the night, Carl mustered up courage to ask "I heard that skin-to-skin contact causes heat which will help against the chill whether this night." He said. He had confirmed she was awake before saying that yet all he received was a slight grunt. He anted to repeat himself but his intuition told him not to.

 Slowly but surely, he drifted back to sleep.

 Lith had to hurry up as he was quite late. He got to class about a minute to the start of the class so he just chose the nearest and available space and got ready for another boring class ahead of him.
