DOOM II

The elevator's slow descent was followed by subtle vibrations that came through its moving and when looking back one could see a lot more from the place they were currently in. A massive circular underground complex that showed many other levels.

"Whoa, what are those?" The other guy that was built bulkier started talking while looking down at the stuff outside the elevator.

Or should Revna say that he neglected his physical fitness? It didn't matter much. In his mind, he sighed since this guy would probably not survive.

Well, that is if the difficulty didn't make any spikes with his weapon demand. But if it became harder, and he assumed that much from a world like Doom, then they will probably be dead by the end.

It's not that he cared about these people anyway, he had to focus on surviving himself and his mental attitude to these literal strangers was not exactly the caring kind.

Looking at his teammates didn't exactly spur the greatest of motivation for survival. A fatso, a thin petite girl that looked like she would break by the wind alone, and an Ozzy Osborn looking motherfucker.

If Revna didn't know it better, this guy could literally be a carbon copy of some Dracula character. Very likely got himself some neat vampire upgrades.

At least he was sure enough who the guide in this team was.

He could feel the difference between the normal average joe and someone being a veteran in this game even with most of his powers sapped from him.

Not that it was even necessary. After all his experiences still remained fresh in his head. And that undertaker guy also seemed to feel suspicious about him.

After giving those three guys an evaluation in his mind, they pretty much failed at his standards.

Though that girl could also be described as some occult follower that fits right in with the undertaker. It even let Revna slightly think those two are soulmates in fashion.

"What are you looking at, asshole?" The young woman in question didn't seem to like the look he gave her and her claws started.

Revna who was leaning on one side of the elevator raised a brow. "Sheesh, look who got a foul tongue. I was just looking at what I'm dealing with. Just some advice, don't get us into trouble with that attitude."

"As if you know what is going on." She frowned back and then took a look at the undertaker.

"I'm curious as well. You acted rather quickly as if you knew what you were doing." Now the guide in Revna's eyes chimmed in.

"Really? Well, then how should I react? Like that guy?" He pointed at the fatso that was also now following the conversation. "I'm not sure about the details but when I saw those familiar faces from the guys that came straight out of a movie right after I kicked the bucked and saw a white light..."He paused shortly after his small lie. "I'm definitely not going to stand around without a weapon. The very second I noticed us being some kind of agents in this weird scenario I took the opportunity to get us some guns. Is that such a problem? I don't think I got enough time to cry and lament my death with us being in the world of Doom if am right."

The undertaker dude started to squint his eyes. "You are quick on the take. But you said you died? Normally you accept an invitation...Anyway, whatever the case. At least I don't need to explain anything to you. You figured out plenty enough. I guess that is why the world started directly after you woke up. Just make sure to survive but keep your meddling to a minimum. Any change in the supposed plot will have heavy consequences."

Revna looked at him confused. He needed to play along for now. "What consequences would gain some weapons have? As I see it we need them and we were thrown here with a background."

"How do you even know that we are in the same boat as you?" The white-haired goth now asked a pretty good question.

"Well, you guys were not in the movie? And besides, I didn't really give away that I'm suspicious about that. You were the one talking about whatever started here? But to be truthful, I figured that out ever since the undertaker here gave the order to explain stuff. So you already had a heads-up before I could even ask."

"That doesn't mean we could be in the same team." The fatso now also put a valid comment on the topic.

"True." Revna placed a hand on his chin and scratched it. "But why would we start at the same spot then? Would we not get into trouble with the cast of the movie if we started trouble? But your question makes me think if we really are the only ones here..."

The undertaker dude squinted his eyes. "We are alone..." he said in a seriosu and cold tone. "And it's better that you don't fight among each other. You will need any help you will get to survive. I can attest to it. I'm someone that has gone through many hellholes myself."

"Wait, what do you mean? There are more movies we will visit?" Revna now dug a little into the right direction for the guys. The fatso and the goth, sure enough, frowned hearing that.

"Exactly, you guys are now stuck here in a game until you collect 50.000 points to make it out alive completely. Otherwise, you will visit one movie after the other until you die or collect the points. Just so you know, one movie gets you 1.000 points. That is 50 movies. But let's make it simple. Think about your purpose here."

When he said his last words the other two in the group grabbed their heads as if they had a headache. Revna only sighed and did the same. Suddenly some basic information started to flood his mind.

[Welcasujhahfiasd+++++###]

But somehow the message that would normally be given was corrupted in his head. 'Something is still not right...'

Then a few beeps and a holographic display started to shine around a bracelet on his left hand. On it the current mission was given and the reward one would get.

[File Name - Doom]

[Time Elasped: 00:05:43]

[Players Alive: 04]

[Primary Objective: Survive the Aftermath]

[Secondary Objective: (Unknown)]

[???: Kill Reaper]

Looking at the text written on it Revna narrowed his eyes a little. There was a certain mission that he was not quite welcome with. And it seemed to be an unknown objective only he had since the fatso was kind enough to read out both of their objectives. Meaning they didn't have the mission to kill the fucking protagonist of this movie.

"Oh boy...Good thing I got us some weapons..." Revna was everything but happy. It seemed like god was fucking around with him. Obviously, there was no fucking way he would get it easy. Though it was not the primary objective and therefore optional.

Still, it was hard to get points and there would always be a reason to get them.

"Be careful, that was only something lucky. If you behave suspiciously or do shit that is clearly against their code or too much against the plot, you will get yourself killed...." Undertaker now said again.

And not too soon as well because the elevator stopped and the hallway they entered was already filled with surveillance.

Another soldier came to them and lead them to their weapon cases to get geared up.

Once that was done they were brought to the shuttle that would fly to the closest transportation gate and straight to Mars where the real shit would start.
