CHAPTER 60

A dim of light shone past the window and rested on Alexia face.

She uses her hand to shield herself from the sun.

"Miss".She heard someone say.

The butler shut the curtain. "Miss Alexandra is time to wake up".Alexia groggily got herself out of bed.

"Butler?".She rub her sleepy eyes.

"Miss".She lunge herself at him.

"Butler" .She crack a smile and her nose ring flashes."You all left me for Christmas".She said in a feign sadness. Mr.Butler take a step back,creating a distance between them and bow his head.

"Apologies Miss but it was your order for us to go on holly break for days,if you need to punish us,please do so".His tone was apologetic as he explained. Alexia laughed nervously itching her hair.

Maybe Aiden was right after all,she was the only one who saw them as friends and they were the ones who thought of her as an employee and nothing else.Aiden- .

"AIDEN!".She blurt out .Mr.Butler brows scrunched in confusion.

"Miss?".

"One Mr.Aiden, h..he was here on Christmas, he cooked,we dine,joked around and drank...where is he?".She says,desperate to see him,desperate to know it wasn't all a dream.

"We met no one,Miss....infact the house was sparkling clean".He informed her.

Her vision grew dimmer as tears linger in her eyes.

"It was all a dream!".She dash into her bathroom and leaned her hands on the counter, staring back at her reflection. "No one care for me".She broke into a sob and shut her eyes letting the tears to roll down her cheek.

'You didn't answer my question, why does the knight insist on staying beside the evil princess side' 'This what you do to me,Alexia. ...the knight insist on staying by the evil princess side cause he's in love with her'.Her eyes pop open.

"A...Aiden k...k..issed me?".She stammers in shock.Her hands flew to her lips.'How was she going to face him when she sees him the next time especially when he is in love with her'.She needed to clear her head.

Alexia walked into 'Kennis breakfast diner' and made her way toward an empty seat.she sat down and stared at the menu.

Figuring what she wanted she called a waiter. "I'll have a plate of hot croissants and a cup of cafe' au lait- ".

"Make that two".She heard Aiden say with a widen grin.

Seeing him now,she felt happy that he had to put other things aside to spend Christmas with her,happy that what had happened between them really happened and that he was the one that had fallen for her. She couldn't stop herself from thinking about the kiss,stop her heart from itchy.

Her heart had turned hot with an unknown emotion.

"Hi".She muffled and buried her red face into the menu.

"Why you acting so shy?".He looked at her,suspiciously.

"W..what are you doing here?".She said abruptly. She wondered why he was acting all normal after he took advantage of her.

"I met with Asher,he just left a while ago".He drawl out his words watching her every reaction.

"Ow!".She could only say avoiding his burning gaze.

'Did she remembered what conspired between them?'.He wondered staring at her flushed face.

"Alexia about yesterday-".

"What happened yesterday?".She feign the fact that she didn't know what had happened between them.

"We...do you remember? ".He questioned.

"What am I meant to remember?".The waiter place their order and left.

"Well,y...you don't remember?".Watching her carefully while testing her.

She shook her head in feign innocence.

"Phew!!thankGod you didn't remember how you threw yourself at me and telling me how much you love me-".

Alexia got to her feet hastily almost upsetting the table.

"You lying brat..,you were the one who took advantage of me while I was drank and told me how much you love me"She utter through gritted teeth.

"I thought I was your knight and shining Amor" .He recline on the seat and cross his arm.

She puffed."You wish".She stab her croissant with her fork and pop it into her mouth.

"Senior Aiden".A lady called. "Senior Aiden,I didn't expect to see you here,I called you but you didn't pick....our school will soon reopen and I heard you volunteered to put things in order can I help out".She rolled her sleeve."I can be really helpful".Aiden laughed and stood up.

"Alright Emma, you can help me out,let's go-".

"Aiden....y..you didn't touch your drink".Alexia perk in.

She didn't want him to go with that Emma and spend time with her alone.

Was she jealous to see him with another lady.

"Later".He lean in and pecked her lips causing her eyes to widen in shock."Don't miss me too much".He winked at her and brush past Emma,who glared at Alexia and ran to meet up with Aiden.

Alexia was short of words,she never expected him to do such a thing.Her phone suddenly rings but she ignored it and feasted on her food.

Ring,ring,ring.

Alexia angrily answered it.

"You finally picked up,Alex".

"Vera?".

"How did you get my number?".

"I can see you left Asher and went over to my fiance-".

"Ex,ex-fiance".Alexia corrected.

"Stay away from Aiden".Vera scowl.

"You can't tell me who and who I should and shouldn't hang out with-".

"I think your starting to fall for something that isn't yours".

"What If I am and point of correction,my Aiden isn't a thing".She herself was surprised by how possessive she was about Aiden.

She heard Vera scoff in disbelief from the other line.

"I have something for you to do for me,meet me now. ..i'll send the location to you".She commanded.

"Am not gonna meet with you Vera,just forget it".

"If you don't am gonna tell Aiden how you killed Asher late friend,Kyle...how you cheated on him,how you tried to kill yourself too .Am gonna tell him with evidence who you truly are.Time is ticking dear-".

"You're a witch,Vera, a big one!!".

"I already know that".Vera hangs up.

Alexia quickly grab her bag and storm off.
