CHAPTER 43

The bright star twinkle from above,staring down at Madison, who was leaning on her elbow on the windowsill, looking outside the window.The past days without Reuben was torture,she couldn't stop thinking about him.

Her life was useless without him and she wasn't sure if she could live without him.What was she doing avoiding him when he loves her despite how messed up her life was.

She had been torturing herself since,avoiding him,it was time to be happy and nothing would stop her even her Uncle. She took her bag and descended to the sitting room,making her way to the door but halted,bumping into Uncle Ben.

"And where the fuck do you think your going!!".He yelled. "To that young boy huh?".

"It isn't your business".She retorts and ran past him but didn't go far when he yanked her hair,pulling her back .

"Since your so persistence to allow that boy to fuck you,I can do it-".Her eyes widens in shock, she shook her head.

"N..no,please Uncle".She stutters in fear.

"Why waste your time on such small inexperienced boys when you have a well experienced man right here".He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear that made her shriek in fear."Have always admired you Maddie" .He licks his dry lips ."To taste you".He looked down on her plumpy juicy breast with his lustful eyes.

"Stay away from me,please don't come closer".She pleads as he came closer.

"It won't hurt if you struggle".He yanked her and forcefully smash his lips to hers but didn't go further when a hand yanked him back.

"Don't you dare!!".She heard Reuben growl with utmost fury.

Asher,Teddy and Reuben sat on the bar stool in a club with a glass shot of tequila in their hands.

The trio enjoyed their drinks in exchanged silence until Reuben decided to break the comforting silence." We all look terrible".

Asher chuckles. "No doubt it's about girls right?".His brow rose in question.

"Yeah".Ted says,he raised his glass in the air."I really needed this,Gowon and Jasmina are both stressing me out"

"Not only you brother,I and Asher are both stressed out,we're both rejected by the girls we love".He gulps his shot in a go and fill it up.

"Gowon loves you Ted,stop listening to that Barbie boss of yours,it's obvious she likes you and wants your attention, so you have to keep ignoring and turning her down and for Heaven's sake learn how to say the word'No',please".Asher paused and sip his drink."If you wants to save your relationship.you told us about a party at your company,apologise to Gowon and take her there".He suggested. Ted nods.

"I got to go then".They gave him a slight nod and he left.

Reuben phone rings,he reach into his pocket and was startled when it was Madison calling."Madison".He whispered to Asher.

"Then answer it".Reuben quickly answered.

"Hello?".

A black limousine rode into St.Agnes Street and suddenly stops two blocks away from Madison house."Go save her while I inform Joey to get some of my men to finish him off".Asher grimace. Without been told twice he dash out from the car.

Reuben burst into the house at the right time,he pulled Ben away from Madison and threw his fist at him.

Madison fell to the floor, tearing up.If not for Reuben what would have really happened to her,she sob harder. Suddenly huge men started trouping in,they held Uncle Ben and walk out.

"Madison".He ran towards her.

She lunge into his arm and sob."Thank you Reuben,thank you so much".Those words was the only words she could utter after such great shock.

Keane led Trina into Avery's hospital room.Her legs almost gave up and she would have crashed to the floor if Keane hadn't held her firmly."I...Is that my mother?".She asked not breaking her gaze away from the pale woman who laid lifelessly on the bed with oxygen support attached to her.

"What do you think?".

"It's my mother".Her lips pull up into a sad smile.

She pulled away from Keane and pad her feet towards the bed and took a seat besides it.

She gently brush off her mother brown hair off her forehead."She so beautiful, she look just like me and Chloe".She Chuckled.

"She loved you so very much Trina,she was the only person that called you Rina".

"No wonder Chloe never called me that".She smiled."Mother,your daughter is now here and she would take good care of you".She press her cold lips to her head and covered her properly with the blanket."Thank you Uncle for taking care of her".

"Is the least I can do for my brother".She lunge herself into his comforting arm.

After refreshing herself, Madison walked down the stairs and collapse into Reuben's sofa.

"Are you done taking your bath?".She heard him ask,making his way towards her.

"Hm"She hummed.He sat next to her and spoke.

"From now on you will be living here with me, you won't go back to your bastard Uncle and I will take care of your mother hospital bill and when she recovers she'll will also-".She wrap her arms around him and buried her face on his shoulder.

"What can I really do without you Reuben?I...I love you so much but I...I was scared to be with you cause I thought you'll judge me cause of how my life is,I never intend to hurt you,am so sorry".

"I love you too because you are you".He tilt her chin and pathed her lips with his.
