CHAPTER 32

Selena stood up from the couch and drops her cup of coffee on the table.She break into a sad smile on seeing Asher walking in.

"You look so handsome".She made her way towards him and sweeps him into her arms.

"Except my expression.where is that man you call your father?".Selena chuckles but didn't break away from their embrace.

"Mom is talking with him or rather arguing cause he brought his girlfriend or side cheeks sluts with him. I don't want to see that man,I hate him".

"We can't do anything but endure".He pulled her away and held her hand."He has made us weak,scared and vulnerable back when we were kids so we could grow to fear him but I won't give him the satisfaction of seeing us weakened".Selena nods in agreement."Where are they? let's get going".

"Where is Trina?".She asked,looking around in search of her.

"Got some pending matters to handle-".

"WAIT!!!!!".They heard someone called,they whirl back to see Trina.

Asher face breaks into a delightful smile.He got to admit she looked so beautiful and sexy.

She was donned into a jasmine lacy strappy shirt tucked into a tight mini brown skirt that show off her asset and a two inch heels,her hair was brushed down her waist long and curly. "Asher".She said and spring into his arms. He freezes by the sudden hug but took a second before he wrapped his hand around her."I came".She said and pulled away beaming.

"You look so gorgeous my adorable dummy".He wiggles her nose as she smiled.

"Let's go in Trina".Selena place her arms over her shoulder and lead her to the dinning area.

"Katty! ".Cynthia jump up from her seat and embrace her."I missed you,why didn't you come to visit?".

"Been busy".

"Take your seat dear".Trina nods and sat down as the rest follows. "This is Kim Lee,my Ex-husband and his girlfriend Lexi".Cynthia introduced."Kim this is Asher's girlfriend".

"Your girlfriend? ".Kim asked as the maids walks in with different varieties of foods.

"Is it that obvious?.unlike you can't differentiate your actual girlfriend or your side cheek or those who warms your bed-".

"Silence!!!".Kim roared.

"Can we have dinner now?".Cynthia inquired and they nods. Everyone couldn't help but notice how Lexi indirectly tries to seduce Asher which angered Kim.

"Have you heard from Alexia? ".He asked.

"Do I have to remind you I have a girlfriend I love".His words made Trina heart stop.'It felt like he meant every word he said'.

"Your engaged damnit!!.".He growl,provoked by his words.

Asher nonchalantly picked up his drink and sip it."You forcefully got me engaged.I think you two should get married, you suit eachother quit well".

"Is this how you welcome your father huh!".

"Your not our father!".Selena chip in."Your only used us to get what the heck you want-".

"Cynthia! !what the hell are you telling our kids!!!".He roared as she chuckled.

"They have eyes Kim to see what you did to us all.you caused us pain".She deadpan.

"And we were never your kids-".

"Just because you've accomplish a lot more than me gives you no right to disrespect!!".Kim puffs.

"Am just stating the fact".Asher recline comfortably on the chair."Besides, isn't it what you're here for ?to trick me and take what I have worked for cause your going bankrupt!am no longer that little boy you use and dispose like am just a trash not worthy of your love!!".This time around he didn't bother to keep his cool but let out his anger.

All Trina wanted to do was to wrap her hand around his but she couldn't dare to cause she was shocked by his outburst, his anger something she hasn't experience when she was with him. She could see the rancor in his eyes as he glare at his dad.

"You tricked me to get engaged to my enemy.The person I hate most, the person that led my bestfriend to his early grave.How could you KIM LEE!!!".He growl,slamming his hands on the table.

"I did you a favor you ingrate!didn't you always loved her huh!So you should thank your father for getting you a fiancee that you loves besides the poor girl did nothing but love you too but couldn't breakup with your damn friend and he was an idiot to have sacrifice his life for her-"

"SHUT UP!!!!!!".Kim smiled on knowing that was the jackpot to anger his son.

"You know what?,Your the one who got your friend killed ASHER LEE-".

"Dad!stop it now!!".Selena demanded.

"Why?when it's the absolute truth,only if you hadn't loved her,stolen her from him and fucked her ,your dear friend will be alive and still kicking".Kim laughs harder as Asher face hardened.

Trina felt a twinge of pain in her chest on hearing how much he loved his fiancee back then or he still inlove with her.She shook the thoughts out of her head.This wasn't the time to get all jealous.She whispered to herself.

"Only if you hadn't done those things your friend wouldn't have sacrificed his life for hers besides you've already done it haven't you,so it's not so bad that she gonna be your darling wife-".

"And I advise you to keep your stupid slut to yourself and warn her not try to seduce me cause I don't wanna be part of a damn love triangle again!".Asher said and storm off into the heavy rain.

"Kim get out of my house!".

"What?Cynthia-".

"If I knew the damn reason why you came here I would have never let you into my home.Now get lost and never come back".Kim stood up with Lexi and walked away.

"Mom!where do you think Asher is?he didn't take his car with him and is pouring".Trina said worried as she pace back and forth.

"I don't know.Gosh if I had known I wouldn't have brought Kim for dinner. Is all my fault".She said burying her face in her hand.

"I think I know".Selena said.

"Where?".

"St.John cemetery,I think to pay his friend a visit-"Before Selena could complete her statement Trina had dash out of the mansion into the rain and bumped into Aiden.

"Aiden?What you doing here".

"Trina,I came over to your house but couldn't see you and I assumed you came here that's why am here".He said grimly."You will catch a cold".He said opening his second umbrella to shield her from the rain."Let me take you back home".He place his hand over her shoulder to lead her to his car but she fidgets.

"No.I need to find Asher-".

"Katrina!".

"Please".Aiden snorts and handed her the umbrella.

She muttered a thank you and ran off to the cemetery. She dash into the cemetery looking left and right in around in search of Asher. Finally she spotted him and there he was already drenched with water,he knelt before a grave as he cried.This was possibly the first time to see him this vulnerable and it hurt her heart to see him this way. She made her way towards him and lifted the umbrella above his head.

"Isn't it too late to shield me from the rain?Am already drained".He said.

"Asher!".Without hesitation she fell on her knees and wrap him in her arms as the umbrella fell off her hands.

God!I hate my dad so every much".He muttered through his breath.

"Our families are both fuckedup right? ".Trina says as he chuckles. "Let's go home".She said and helped him to his foot. Suddenly his head fell on her shoulder. "Asher".

"Let's just stay this way for a little while".She nods and wrap her arms round his waist."Katrina".Trina felt her heart skip a bit on hearing him calling her full name for the first time in a long time.

"Hmm".She hummed.

"I..I..think am in love again".

"Hmm".She hummed again.

"With you".His last statement made her entire body go rigid with shock.

"Asher..y..yo-".

"I like you a lot Trina and I know your still hurt.I know you haven't healed from the pain Aiden caused you so I will wait for you but I don't promise that I would let you go. Am gonna fight for you,for your love...".

,A..Asher".She manage to say."Asher".She called again but he had fallen asleep. She sigh."Why me?".
