"You finally came".Aiden said intoxicated with alcohol.

"Gosh your drunk as a lord.Why the hell did you get drunk?".She puffed and helped him into her house and gently lowered him on her sofa."Where did you put your phone?I need to call Vera to pick-".Aiden held her wrist firmly and shook his head.

"Don't please".He drawled."Am tired of her....am sorry I hurt you but I had to do it to save my dad's enterprise ...I.. still love you Trina and I know you might never get back with me but I would like to have you as a friend, please?".He pleads.

"But...b..but-".

"If you don't love me then forgive me and let's go back to what we used to be back then.Just friends".She could see the sincerity in those bright amber.

"O-".A knock came from the door.

Trina stood up and headed to the door and opened and was now staring at an anxious Asher,she had to admit he looked cute."ow!Asher".She said surprised. She moved away from the door and stood on the porch shutting the door behind her. She looked back at him overwhelmed with guilt for keeping Aiden in her house but' Why'.When he wasn't her boyfriend. But still she couldn't shake off the feeling.

"You look pale,you okay?". She laughed nervously and wipe her sweat with her back hand and nodded. "That's good then...Can you do me a favor?".He asked.

"Yeah.Anything for you".He freezes. A funny look ran across his face before she realized what she actually said."I...I didn't mean it like that what I mean friends, yes friends help eachother so we could do anything for our friends right?"She said feeling stupid. Asher didn't respond instead he puts his hands into his hoodie pocket and swing forth and back.

"Can I at least come in-"

"No!!!!".Trina yelled and stood at the front of the door with her arms spreads out.Asher brows raised high in question. "And why?".

"Crisis. My apartment is in crisis, so untidy and there a lot of bugs,you don't wanna get them on your expensive and classy cloth right?".She dusted his cloth as he wipe her hand off him and gave her a suspicious look.

"Whose at the door Katrina? Is it Vera?".Aiden opened the door and glare at Asher."You?".

Asher brows raise peculiarly high. He definitely knew something fishy was going on.

After Asher's Mother had told him to come home for dinner tomorrow since his father has returned back, he decided to invite Trina too for company. So he rode to her house with his sport car.

He felt nervous when he thought of approaching her and asking her to be his date,although he had done it back then, now it was different cause now he was in love with her.

After calming himself he knocked and she came out and they talked.

He felt heartbroken when she refused to let him into her house.He wanted to be in her world but how would he when she pushes him away. The most shocking thing he saw was Aiden coming out of her apartment. 'No wonder she refused to let him in.she was with her lover'.

Although he felt hurt he had to act professionally.

"You?".He heard Aiden say.

"Don't act as if you can't say my beautiful name from that mouth of your".He deadpanned.

He shifted his gaze on Trina,guilt was written over her adorable face."You should have told me this dumbass was with you"

"Am sorry".Trina said.

"Mother invited me over and I want you there with me .So do you wish to come?".He asked.

Trina felt fluttered that he was asking for her permission.She uses her back hand to wipe the sweat off her forehead. Asher held her wrist and pull it away from her head,reach into his pocket and brought out his hanky and dabbed her sweat with it,a hand appeared on his wrist stopping him from what he was doing.

"Don't"Aiden said grimly. "Don't you dare touch her".Asher scoffs and pulled away.

"Last time I remembered you're not her FIANCE" .Aiden face tightens by his words.

"You two should stop this. And Asher am sorry but I can't attend".Trina gave him an apology looks as Aiden smiled.

"No problem, is just that I...i just need someone that will brighten my day like you always do when my dad tries to infuriate me".He step away from her porch and smiled.

"Your dad is coming?".She asked.

She could see a hint of pain in those unusual eyes of his and she felt his pain.

He stared at his shoes and played with a pebble underneath his shoe.

"Yeah,that's the reason for the feast tomorrow evening".He looked up smiling, trying to hide the pain in his eyes."Goodbye".He dash into his car and zoom off not waiting for her response.

"I think you should also go now your sober".She said nicely and he nodded.

"Are we friends?".He asked again to confirm.

"WHAT!!!!!!..ARE YOU CRAZY!!".Gowon yelled."Why did you accept?".

Madison recline on Gowon's couch."What's so wrong if she becomes friends with Mentor Aiden?".

"Madison is right what's so wrong?".Trina sat down and crossed her legs on the coffee table.

"Everything darling. What if you fall in love with him?".Gowon questioned asTrina shudder in disgust.

"Never,his engaged to Vera".Trina replied as she picked up the remote control.

"And to be his friend is to show she's definitely over him".Trina nods in agreement to what Madison was saying."Besides she bear no grudges right?".

"Yeah.I love you Madison, Why you not with Reuben?That jerk deserves you in his life".

A wild blush spread across her cheek."Is complicated but what about you and Asher?".

"Agh!am so confused. Asher invited me to his family dinner as his date but I turned him down-".

"Why?".Gowon asked. "This is getting interesting".She smiled slyly and sat next to Trina."But you've never refused besides his family still thinks your dating him-"

"They were dating?".Madison eyes widens.

"No,I was pretending to be his girlfriend. Can we go back to what I was saying?".She looked at her two friends who nods in approval for her to carry on."Thanks you.Like I said I decline his offer but am worried that his father would make him depressed and is only me that can brighten his mood".Unwanted blush rushes to her cheek.

"He said that?".Madison squeal when Trina nods."I think he likes you".

"That's impossible" .Trina brush it off."He makes me feel embarrassed all the time".

"That's how people like us show our love".Gowon stood up and put up her leather jacket ." A piece of advice you should go,after all his also the second person that comfort you when your idiotic family makes you sad"She grabs her helmet and motorbike keys."Am off to Ted's house he said he has a surprise for me.Lock my door when going".She said and walk off.

"Is she that sweet?".Madison asked astonished by her behavior she had never seen.

Trina shrugs."She's really sweet but tends to hide it"

Gowon turn off her engine and hop down from her bike, took off her helmet and walked into Ted's Apartment.

"Ted".She called as she headed into the dinning room,she gasp as she was staring at two Mini Cake(Chocolate and Coffee cake)."What are we celebrating? ".She asked beaming as Ted hugs her from behind and kisses her neck down to her shoulder.

"I got a part-time job at a comic inventory enterprise .its kind of a big company and the pay is good".

"Why you working when you have a whole lot of cash to start your own business?".

"One,my family are middle class that refuse for me to work.Two,what's the whole point of schooling if am not trying to acquire more knowledge.Three,I did it for you".

"What?".She whirl to look at him.

"Yes,you've been stressed since,going from one job to another. So with my little income from my job I can hand it over to you and I can't be jobless when my bae is working her ass every day,hour and minutes".Gowon gasp as tears dares to roll down her cheek. "Thank you".She whispered and threw her arms around him and rested her head against his chest."I love so very much"
