Trina held her cheek in great shock as her eyes became moist with tears.

"M..mother".She manage to say.

Never in her wildest dream did she ever believe her own mother would lay a hand on her because of Vera.

"How dare you speak to your elder cousin in such a way!!".Chloe growled."They both love eachother so stop all this".

"Is this how you welcome your only daughter huh Chloe!".Trina retorts.

"You!".Chloe raise her hand to slap her but Aiden held her hand giving her a disapproval look.

"Are you really my mother????My only wish is for you to disappear,you should have died so I would know am an orphan.I wished you had died instead of my father.Die!Die!".She growl and pushed her to the floor and shifted her deadly gaze at Vera."This isn't over you,you can keep Aiden and Chloe but remember this will the the last time you will take what's mine.I will take back my father's company,mark my words".She declares and storms off.

Trina feet suddenly came to an halt as she was lost of breath and couldn't run any further.

She fell to the ground as she cried harder.She still couldn't believe the people she had called her family could hurt her this way.Even her Aiden.The thought of him holding Vera close to him made her scrunch her hand in rage.

"He said he was waiting,he said he can't wait to marry me,he Said he loves me,they all said,it was all lies!!".She cried harder burying her head in her hands.

"Trina".She heard someone say and she lifted her head to see her bestfriend Gowon."Let me take you to my house".She offered.

Trina gingerly sip from her coffee which Gowon offered.She silently watched as Gowon rant non stop after hearing what had happened a while ago.

To Trina,Gowon was like a big sister she had never had,she was the most loving and kindest person she knew even after all the facade she tried to put on.

Gowon was taller than most girls yet she was pretty with her raven shoulder length hair that was tint with red,green and purple and a silver ring on her lower lips.

She is known for her being a tomboy,badass looks and her boyish act yet Trina loved her.

"How could those morons do this to you".She growl and spring to her feet."Am gonna knock some sense into that bastard head-".Trina held her back immediately and shook her head.

"Don't please".

Gowon grimace."You're too nice Trina,someone like you does not fit in such cruel world".She sigh and pat her back."Don't care for those idiots,don't even think of them as your family-".

"They're not my family anymore".She sniffle a little as Gowon pass her a tissue and she uses it and dab her puffy eyes."They are not my family".She mumble,trying to convince herself they weren't,even to begin with.

Aiden paced back and forth restlessly in his bedroom.

He couldn't brush off the guilt he felt after inflicting such pain to Trina.

He still couldn't deny the fact he still had lingering feeling for her or should he rather say he still loved her but had to sacrifice it all to save his father's company since Vera was the only heiress to the Owens inheritance.

if only Vera wasn't then maybe he would still have Trina in his arms.
