CHAPTER 2....

THREE YEARS LATER....

Trina highlighted from the taxi and made her way into Paradise Estate where her family lives.She was glad to see nothing had changed since she was sent abroad to receive treatment from her late father's friend who was a doctor.

She tightens her hands on her luggage and walked closer to the huge mansion owned by her late father.

She was feeling nervous to see her mother,Aiden,her aunt Franca which was Vera's mother.

With a nervous smile,she reached for the knob but frozed as she heard giggling and lauguter from within.'Will they be happy to see her'.She wondered.

"My soon to be daughter in law is so gorgeous".Trina heard Aiden mother,Maria say.

'When did Mrs.Maria have another son?'.

Trina shake of the thoughts that ran in her head.Aiden could never cheat on her and if he did his mother and hers won't accept it.

She slowly opens the door with a wide grin across her lips but her smile fades away when she was now staring at her mother,Aunt Franca who sat together with Aunt Maria and opposite them was her Aiden and Vera who sat close to eachother their fingers entwined.

Trina staggers backwards in shock as tears started streaming from her eyes.Vera shifted her gaze towards the entrance door on noticing someone's presence.

Her face broke into a smile on seeing the shock on Trina's face but frowned when she realized she was more beautiful than the last time she saw her.

Her brown hair fell over her shoulder that highlighted her big beautiful doll like auburn eyes.

She didn't care she had grown so beautiful all that matters was that the past years Trina wasn't with them she had gotten Chloe and Aiden to love her so dearly.

'Now it's time to put on her acting shoes'.She said to herself.

Vera stood up abruptly."Trina?".She calls as everyone diverted their gaze to her.

"Kat,you're back".Chloe smiled."Why didn't you inform me before coming?".

"How could you!How could you all stab me at the back".She roared.

"Trina,please accept our relationship.Me and Aiden love eachother so dearly now and...and we're engaged",Vera said between sobs.She went on her knees and held her hand."Please".

Trina finally understood what Vera meant three years ago by snatching her loves ones.

She chuckled and applaud her."What an interesting performance Vera,I should really give you an award to thieves like you.This is such a surprising welcome party,don't you think so.Are you guys really my family???".

"Rina please".Vera pleads."Quit all this Vera,Stop all this acting!!".Trina said with nothing but hatred.

She yanked her hand away causing Vera to fall to the floor as Franca ran to help her up.

"But Aiden loves me not a phyco like you...".Vera was suddenly silence with a slap across her cheek.

"VERA!!!".Everyone chorus.

"How dare you!!".Franca spoke through gritted teeth as she stride angrily towards Trina and landed a sounding slap at her face that made her lose her balance and she burst into doleful cry.

Immediately Aiden pulled Vera into his arms before glared at Trina.

"Stop all this child's play and act mature and realize that I no longer love you".He scolds.

His statement was like another slap across her face,she could never come to believe that her love one including her own mother could treat her this way.

She still won't accept defeat,she won't show Vera how weak she is.

Determinedly,she wipe the blood off her nose and smirk."You're just a darned thief Vera,A Thief".Vera tightens her fist together.

All Vera wanted to do was to slap the day light off her pretty face but someone had already done that and it was none other than Trina's own flesh and blood,
