CHAPTER 12
Asher tossed and turns on his bed unable to sleep.
Since he couldn't sleep again,he sat up and picked up his phone.
"Should I call her?".He wondered. Should he call and tell her he would pick her up.'Gosh!What was wrong with him'.
He violently ran his fingers through his hair.
He stood up,put on his robe over his half naked body and went over to the bathroom,brush his teeth and descended to the dining with the use of elevator.
"Hi Mom.....YOU!!!".He screams on seeing Trina having breakfast with his mom in his house."I..I..i mean bae".He corrected. "You're in my spot".He came to stand beside her.
"So childish,hmph!".She sneered at him before taking another seat leaving Asher to sit on his favourite chair.
"What are you doing here?".She heard him ask.
"What you doing here too!".She retorts.
"This is my mother house,so basically I live here too".He scowl at her.
"Whatever".She rolled her eyes at him before asking."What's up with your hair,it's standing.Is that the new hairstyle".
"Cause I just woke up.You dummy!".
"Mother".She whines."Tell Asher to stop calling me that".
"Asher stop teasing your girlfriend"Cynthia says.
"Come on mother".He laughs. "She's such an idiot-".
"Do you remember am your girlfriend?".She cut in,interrupting him.
He hums in response and cup her face into hid palm."Yes.My cute little idiot, don't let anyone call you that except i,Asher Lee,the young,handsome
,perfect millionaire".
Trina wanted to speak but she couldn't find the word to say,so she remained quiet and found herself nodding to whatever he says.
And he landed a quick kissable on her nose that made her turn red.'Gosh!So embarrassing'.She murmured to herself.
"Wait for me....I will take you to school".He stood up and went to his room to wash up.
"Gosh you two make me feel young again".Cynthia who sat quietly observing them finally spoke."Come along,darling".She stood up as Trina follows.
"Is he always like that?".Cynthia brows raised up in question. "A narcissistic,a flirt and a jerk".Trina explains further.
"I will agree with you of Asher being a narcissistic but a flirt".She shook her head."I doubt that.To be honest,Asher don't hang out with girls so i was shocked when i heard he has a girlfriend".She paused."Am glad he took that risks to be with you".
"Risk?".Trina asked puzzled.
"He lost his friend because of a girl.They both fell in love but she cheated on him with his bestfriend since then he kept a good distance from girls but with you it's completely different".Cynthia gave her a sad smile.
After they left Heaven's Gate,Asher and Trina head over to school with Asher's car.
"Hey!Do you like me?".He heard her question so suddenly.
He burst into laughter. "Me,like you then I must be crazy. Why do you think so?".
She shrugged and adverted her gaze outside the window. "I don't know,maybe is just that you suddenly started hanging around with me.A Girl".She emphasized the word 'Girl'."When you haven't done that in ages.You like me right,you little bad boy".She nudged him.
"Hey!Do you have a death wish!".He yells and concentrate on the road."If you continue that we both die,idiot!!".
"Fine".She surrender. "I don't want to die yet....you haven't answerered my question?".She was very persistent to hear his answer.
"I don't hang around you,if I could remember it's you.First,you forcefully kissed me,second,you claimed to be my boyfriend,Third,you followed me to that party-".
"Hey!I was invited.Not only you go to a fancy party".She sneered.
He chuckled."I don't mind you following me around,I mean who wouldn't am handsome,rich,intelligent,kind hearted,I own my own company at such age-".
"We all know that!".She angrily interrupts."Am sick of that same old story.Tell me something new".She yawns in boredom.
"I want to date you".
Trina choked as those words escape his lips."W..What??".
He burst into his boyish laughter on seeing the look on his face."Is that the new thing you wanted to hear?Jokes on you dummy,that would never happen".He assured.
She cleared her throat."I don't want a boyfriend who only care for himself then anyone".
Asher brows rose up."And where did caring for others take you?".
His words kept ringing in her head.
Indeed where has that gotten her.
Receiving no answer from her,he focused on the road.
The remaining ride to school was filled with nothing but silence until they arrived at the school parking shot and he turns off the engine.
Trina step out as he does the same."What are we doing today?".She asked,breaking the silence between them.
"We will be testing your capability".Trina dismissed his statement with a snort.
"Boring.Let's do something more interesting,like showing me around the entire school,this school is so big,it's like an island.Show me around but a piece of advice,avoid taking me to the library".She inform.
Asher shook his head at her stupidity. "Just go to class,we meet later".
"Alright".She waved and ran off.
"Hey dude!".Reuben jumped before him."You're now the hottest discussion in Elite college-".
"Have always been,Reuben.
Reuben was remarkably good looking with his fire blazing hair and his crystal Amber eyes that attracted girls.
Reuben nods his head in agreement. "So,whatsup with you and that cheek?Have never seen you given ride to a girl since you know when".He nudged him.
"If am correct,I gave my sister a ride just last month.Does that count,she's also girl".
"Just shut up.Race you to class".Reuben smack him on the head and ran off with Asher tailing behind him.
