Chapter 11
They all landed as Draco made the iron dust go into the bucket. The 14 heroes flew at the intruders and Crastros jumped in front of them. The heroes stopped before the hit Crastros. The 14 heroes stood in shock and wondered why Crastros was awake. Then the dragons kneeled before Draco and the heroes welcomed Crastros back to Ulentor. After the welcomes were exchanged they all went to the mess hall and ate their fill.
72 hours later Engon and Metano broke free of their icy cells. They got up and made an agreement that they would destroy Sharnem. They then flew up and went to the Dwarven capital in the Stone Hills. They landed in the town square. After that they proceeded to massacre the town and then left a message made from the carnage in dragon tongue saying that the Fire Dragon and the Iron Dragon did this. They did this because the wanted people to know that their legends were coming back to kill them.
Draco woke with a start the next morning and flew to the Dwarven capital before the others woke. He then returned the life to all who had died because that was his domain. He then left and ordered his dragons, all of them, to meet him at the top of the Mountain of Darkness. He then flew to the summit of the mountain. The 15 heroes of Sharnem and the 8 fallen stars met at the mountain. Engon and Metano challenged Draco to a duel for his throne. Draco accepted and agreed to the terms of the duel.
The terms were that the winner or winners take the throne of the Dragon King. Then if there were more than one winner the victors would have to split his powers. There is now way to back out of a fight between dragons other than death. This is what Draco agreed to. Draco withheld the information that he had two different personalities Draco the Dragon of Life and Darcon the Dragon of Death.
They started the same distance away and the Spirit of Darkness made a black barrier to contain the fight. The 5 fallen stars and the 15 heroes stood and watched as the fight started.
Engon and Metano stood next to each other and roared. They both belched forth iron and fire with their roar. Draco dodged it and then transformed into Darcon. He turned black and a white dragon mark appeared on his forehead. Engon and Metano charged him but Darcon was faster than Benz, the fastest as he is the Light Dragon. Darcon is faster than light because he is death incarnate. Death is the swiftest thing there is. Darcon said let's take this fight outside and then flew up and burst through the barrier without a second thought. Engon and Metano flew up after him and then they tried to dodge his attacks. Darcon flew as fast as he could all the spectators could see were Engon and Metano getting hit and having scales torn off. Within the next 5 minutes Engon had lost both wings, a leg, both arms, and most of his scales.(Dragons don't bleed the only way to kill them is to rip out their hearts and once their hearts are ripped out they lose all the blood they should have bled). Metano was in worse shape he was without his legs, wings, arms and jaw.
Darcon then flew at Engon and punched through his body like it was paper. Then it rained blood the summit was dyed crimson. The heroes and dragons watched through the rain. After the rain stopped Darcon went and ripped off the rest of Metano's scales and then his head. The head landed in front of Benzi and spoke. It said that the king is immortal and can not be beaten by the dragons or anyone else. Then Darcon flew Metano's body up above the clouds and ripped out his heart. The entire Dead Zone was then soaked and turned crimson.
Darcon turned back into Draco and the Dragon of Death was sealed once again. Draco landed and the others were in shock of the dragon. They all flew back to Ulentor fort and washed of the blood. They then went to the old half-breed capital and Draco restored it to what it was by rebuilding the buildings and removing all the extra wildlife. He couldn't however bring people back as they had been dead too long.
Later that year they named the old capital the Town of Unity all 9 races were there the 9th being the dragons. Draco announced that at the opening there were two opening for dragon team leaders. Draco also said that the spots were earned and those who did became dragons. He also mentioned that each dragon had their own team. So even those who didn't become dragons they had the chance to help the dragons keep the peace by solving all disputes within the new map of Sharnem. Sharnem had been divided into 8 sectors where each dragon and dragon team kept the peace. Two of those sectors had no dragon or team Draco proposed a contest to decide who will be the next dragons
