Chapter 6:"Baël: the personal trainer"

Another two years have passed, which means Carro and I were 4 years old, and 3 years were left until planet Vegeta's destruction by Frieza — We'd soon be assigned to a saiyan team. To be completely honest, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little hyped, but I can control it perfectly — in these two years I've learned to be always with [Gamer Mind] activated, but of course, I can free my feelings from time to time.

And it wasn't just [Gamer Mind] I perfected in this time, I made a huge general improvement on myself and spent the 25 status points on Int.

During this time I have trained both my body and skills, training and the physical strengthening my natural growth gives me allowed me to reach 400 power level — A pretty big deal, I was assigned as one of the saiyans with the most potential out of them all, which was kind of true due to the system giving me virtually unlimited potential. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any new skills besides [Mechanics] and [Science], both things that I studied after leveling up [Medicine] to the maximum — But even if the skill itself is maxed-out, I still don't have all the possible knowledge nor actual practice, just like when I learned to fly; I had a good [Ki Control], but still had to find out how to fly, the leveled up skill just made it easier.

Besides myself, I also trained Carro.

Carro was very talented, sure — She developed a Ki steam such as Stellar burst all by herself just being 2 years old; but her Ki is low if you compare it to mine — that's due to my Int and Wis stats as they increase Ki reserves. Even in this case, her Ki is still pretty high for a saiyan. Thanks to her skill and my continuous training, her [Ki control] and [Ki detection] were drastically improved, even faster than I did in 2 years — If you ignore the fact that she already had 2 years' worth of levels, of course.

Furthermore, I raised Carro's affection towards me — This'd normally be impossible due to how much she fears me, but thanks to the system I solved that issue. Now she's in love with me, I can see it from a mile even if she doesn't admit it; anyhow, she still fears me, even if much less, and yet I've gained quite a bit of trust with her... I guess this is some kind of Stockholm syndrome? This all allows me to not worry too much about her betraying me, previously she would've done so due to her saiyan pride, but now the possibility is far less likely — although I could of course just blow her up with my [Ki Bomb] I don't really wanna lose such a powerful asset.

I got out of bed, if you're asking yourself why I was there in the first place: After training for various days without sleep I had to act as if I needed to rest — Even if I didn't get any sleep, I did train my Ki control and detection. Carro was impressed by my efforts when training, she affirmed you need a strong willpower to train for days without sleep... Or a cheat code of a skill like [Gamer Mind] and [Gamer Body].

A hand stopped me from getting out of bed — It was Carro's, and yes, she sleeps with me now. She developed this bad habit after spending the first week here, not like I really care about it, hehe.

Carro: "Are you going to train?"

Baël: "What else should I do to kill time?"

Carro: "Don't you know we're gonna be assigned to a team today? You should save your energy."

Baël: "Hahahah! It sounds as if you don't even know me! I'm just gonna do some aerobics!"

Carro: "You call training until you can't move a muscle at this time of the day aerobics?!"

I smiled jokingly and got out of the room to train for a few hours until somebody knocked on the door.

I opened it knowing who'd be behind it, it was a saiyan woman — She bowed upon looking at me, the saiyan may be very proud of themselves, but they also respect whoever's stronger than them... And also probably the fact that she didn't want to lose her job.

The woman took Carro and I to a room where a man was sitting, probably a big name in logistics.

Saiyan man: "Boy, I'm sorry to tell you won't be in a team, but the great King Vegeta has a special request for you."

Baël: "Oh? And what could this special request be?"

Saiyan man: "He wants you to train Prince Vegeta, with some luck you could even be a part of his team, heheh."

Baël: "Now that does catch my eye! Hahahah! But Carro must come with me!"

Saiyan man: "Bah! That doesn't even matter! You can carry your girlfriend wherever the hell you want!"

Lately a rumor was going around that Carro and I were dating — It obviously wasn't true, but I didn't really care about it; in fact, I found it pretty funny.

Carro looked at a side of the room immediately, I like to make fun of her when she's like that.

I looked at Carro smiling.

Baël: "Actually, we're not dating right now."

Carro felt relieved for a moment, but after a few seconds her mind processed the "right now" and blushed more than before.

After lightly mocking her, the saiyan man lead us to King Vegeta's castle — Truth is, this will help me immensely, and it drastically changes my previous escape plans, but in these two years I had already thought of this happening, I didn't expect it to though.

The saiyan stopped us in front of a door, opened it and kneeled without entering, a voice spoke from inside the room.

King Vegeta: "You may enter."

I looked at Carro, she looked nervous, as she was gonna literally meet the king of all the saiyan race, so I smiled a bit in an attempt to calm her down and entered the room. Carro followed me clumsily until she rectified and stopped showing fear, denoting her saiyan pride and temper.

I got to King Vegeta and kneeled along with Carro, my saiyan blood boiled by having to do this, and my personality also helped — but who cares? With [Gamer Mind] I can deal with that, and my only goal is to become the strongest in this universe... I mean, multiverse. So it doesn't really matter if I have to kneel to gain something, anyhow, this planet has its days counted.

Baël: "I'm here to his majesty's request."

King Vegeta: "Heh, good. I see you're quite obedient, I like that; I assume you know why I requested you to come here?"

Baël: "That's right your majesty, I'm here to train the great Prince Vegeta, it would be an immense honor for me to do so."

King Vegeta: "Indeed, you will train my son, as the Saibaman were not enough — they have no knowledge of battle, so I hope you, the strongest of your generation, are able to match my expectations and train my heir."

Baël: "It will be as you wish your majesty, I won't disappoint you and I will give his highness Prince Vegeta the best training he's ever had, much better than mere Saibamen"

A Saibaman only had 1,000 power level as shown in the anime, there were less powerful ones, and those were used for training or low level planets.

King Vegeta: "Very well, you may exit, from this day forward you will have a special room in this castle assigned to you. The first training is tomorrow, so prepare yourself... As I expect no mistake."

Baël: "As you wish."

I stood up and grabbed Carro out of the room with me, being in the same room as a man who's 28 times stronger than me is honestly torture — King Vegeta has a power level of 11.500, but thanks to my skills I managed to stay cool.

A system notification appeared.

[Acting: This skill allows the host to make others believe or misinterpret what he says or does as the host desires, if the target is much weaker than the host, it will have a 2% chance of succeeding, if the power level is similar, an Int, Cha and Wis test will occur and, if succeeded, it will have a 1% chance of the skill itself doing so. If the target is much stronger the skill will be unsuccessful]

Now this is a great skill, right now it's just level 1, but when I max it out it'll certainly be useful. With this skill and [Gamer Mind] I can control my emotions at will, I can manipulate anyone I want to by making them believe every word that comes out of my mouth! Hahahaha!

The man that guarded the door stood up, closed the door and lead us to our room meanwhile I began thinking about what I'd have to do and how things would go from now on — I was already doing that most of the time, the boost to my thinking speed Int grants me and the better decision taking Wis gives my allowed me to do so.

A day went by, and I found myself in the training room, waiting for Vegeta's entry. To be completely sincere, I'm very excited to meet Vegeta — I'm a big Dragon Ball fan, so it only makes sense; still, I won't show it. Carro was training in the room King Vegeta gave us.

After waiting for a while the door opened and a small saiyan entered the room, it was obviously Vegeta, he had the same clothes and hair, behind him stood a very tall man: Nappa. I could tell by the amount of times he appeared while Vegeta was a child — It was pretty weird to see him with hair, even if I knew he had in the past, it still looks eerie.

Vegeta: "Are you the worm that intends to train me? You have a far too low power level to give me any trouble, you're just a slightly bigger worm."

Nappa smirked, as he expected an adult saiyan to appear, but he encountered a kid just two years older than Vegeta.

Baël: "First of all, yes, I will be the one to train you, and second of all; you better believe power level isn't all I need to beat you, so I advise you get rid of that mentality."

Vegeta decided to "teach me something" and flew right to me, I looked at his power level and a system pop up appeared.

[Ding! The host has started a mission]

System, why do I get so much Exp for this?

[Ding! That's because Vegeta holds a very important place in the hierarchy, so the reward of defeating him is increased.]

I readied all of my body with [Physical Buff] thanks to the skill's level and the big amount of Ki I put into it, the buff was gargantuan — Besides I didn't need to worry about Ki consumption as I was always making sure it didn't exceed the regeneration per minute, and as it was very high, I could use a lot of Ki.

I blocked one of Vegeta's hits, making his combat info appear

He was an absolute prodigy, at the age of just 2 years old he had a power level of 670, hardly allowing me to match him even with all the Ki I was using — He definitely deserves the title of prince of the saiyans, but his Ki control is horrid, although even then it's probably better than most saiyans due to their intelligence; he doesn't know anything about martial arts either, and that means that with a bit of luck I can make him respect me as his master. Yes, that's the best that could happen to me right now, having both the prince of all the saiyans and one of the strongest of them under my command thanks to the affection system without them noticing that they're being manipulated... HAHAHA! I love this idea!

I tried to focus and dodged one of Vegeta's attacks and countering it with an uppercut that shined much more than the rest of them in his stomach — Vegeta was sent to the other side of the room in shock.

Baël: "Is there something wrong princess? Didn't you say I couldn't possibly give you any trouble?"

Vegeta was enraged at my taunt and came quickly to attack me madly — He struck me with sudden and unpredictable kicks and punches, definitely faster than any I could do; I can cover some of that gap with [Physical Buff], but it wasn't enough. In this dire situation I found a way to throw him off, mocking him — Vegeta may be incredibly smart for his age, but he still has his saiyan pride, so it's easy to make him mad and lower his precision and focus.

I exploited his lack of precision to evade his flurry of attacks, making him even angrier and with less precision in a vicious circle of rage, it's an absolutely dumbass idea to try and make a saiyan angry, but if he managed to hit me I'd have to use too much Ki just to not be sent flying — But of course, the keywords are"If he managed to hit me", I now could avoid all of his blows without breaking a sweat, it seems all of those years fighting other saiyan while trying to not get hit have been worth it

After a few minutes like this Vegeta was severely beaten up, with only 4,000 Hp left he flew away from me and started throwing loads of Ki blasts, these were much faster and more powerful than any I've seen by another saiyan before, I put my Ki on [Physical Buff] as much as I could to be able to dodge some of the blasts and block the others. I flew as fast as I could around the room trying to dodge the blasts, but it was impossible for me to dodge all of them, half of them managed to hit making great damage to my body, if I didn't have [Physical Buff] I'd be toast in one or two minutes.

My Ki dropped a lot and my Ki regeneration couldn't match the consumption — I was quickly running out of Ki, and my Hp was dropping to dangerous levels, my regeneration couldn't keep up with the attacks, I looked at Vegeta only to see a torrent of Ki. I was too focused on the blasts to notice that Vegeta was preparing a technique like Carro's Stellar Burst, this was much more powerful than Stellar Burst, but it was much less trained, so the base was too unstable.

I compressed almost all of my remaining Ki into a ray at my fingertip, I could see how Vegeta looked at this curiously, after a few moments compressing my Ki watching as the seemingly unstoppable torrent of Ki approached me, I released the ray, this beam was prepared to destroy the unstable base of the Ki torrent, the concentrated rays have much more penetration than a torrent like the one Vegeta launched, in addition, this beam will go ahead and hit Vegeta causing him to lose much more Hp and granting me the victory without killing him.

I reveled in my approaching victory as the beam hit the torrent of Ki causing it to scatter, the Ki scattering caused a large light to shine in the room and a large bang sound ensued; this acted like a stun grenade, blinding me and leaving me deaf for a few moments, while trying to recover my vision and hearing, I felt a puncture in my chest, a burning sensation from side to side as if something went through me, I couldn't really feel the pain thanks to [Pain Immunity] but I could feel everything else clearly. My Hp dropped quickly below a hundred, and my Hp regeneration couldn't help me because of the alternate statuses, I had lots of these because of the blasts he cast on me earlier, these alternate statuses lowered the effectiveness of my regeneration to a great extent making it unable to help me in this situation.

I fell to the ground exhausted, my Sp was scarce because of so much effort and the regeneration was also affected by the alternate states, my Ki was pitiful, and my Hp was below 50, I was just able to recover my vision while falling, and I saw Vegeta falling to the ground at the same time as me, I could see that his arm and a finger were extended; that bastard managed to copy me by throwing a ray, he took advantage of the fact that I was distracted concentrating my Ki to copy me and do the same by concentrating his Ki on his finger, he also took advantage scattering his torrent of Ki to launch his own beam, the two beams didn't quite touch, and hit us, his beam was much weaker than mine, but due to my low Hp and low Ki not allowing me to use [Physical Buff] correctly and my alternate states, it left me in this disastrous state — Meanwhile, my beam hit Vegeta with no problem, and I could see from the system that his Hp stayed in double digits just like mine, so It looks like it was a draw.

Soon, my eyes were closing, I could see how the alternate status [Unconscious] appeared in my stats only to fall asleep the next second.
