The First Quest

03/12/2221, The Parallel Cosmos

"Ash, what're you up to? Today's your first day, and you're already late!" His mom yelled.

Ash ran at the speed of light.

"Damn, I'm definitely late."

The institution was pretty huge. From the fighting arenas to the weaponry shed, it had everything. Secret passages and labyrinths were there for training.

The university really was something.

Ash sprinted. He reached class right on time.

"Pretty impressive for someone who's always late." Jake teased.

Ash made a face. Right then, the teacher entered the class.

"Alright class, that's enough. Please settle down now."

"I'm Mr. Quinch, your Fine Arts Teacher. I'm going to be teaching weaponry and manual competitive skills. Today's your first day, and you'll be given a quest to complete so that we'll be able to evaluate your ranks based on your skills and techniques." He continued.

"All of you are allowed to choose one equipment from the shed and you'll be fighting a level 10 rank monster as your first quest. All the best." Mr. Quinch finished.

All the students were surprised by this sudden examination.

"But we just joined-" Jake murmured.

Ash picked up a beam ball and got ready.

"Let's not waste any more time. It's gonna be fun." He smirked as he advanced towards the door.
