The First Decision

"Move it, Daniel! He's escaping!" Alex shouted.

Ash hurried to the side and ran, trying to catch up with Alex.

The criminal had a little boy with him as hostage, so they'd to be careful not to hurt the boy.

"Quick, or the boy will die!"

The three of them followed the culprit from behind.

"Jack! Do you copy? We found him!" Daniel screamed on the walkie.

"Coming over!"

"Shit! He's escaping! Follow him!"

The culprit made a shot for Alex's leg.

"Where the heck'd he get a gun from?" Daniel panicked.

"Ash! be careful!" Alex scrammed over to Ash's side.

The culprit put the gun's nozzle on the forehead of the boy.

"Do you want me, or both of us dead?" He smirked.

Ash gritted her teeth. She looked over at Alex, who lowered down his Engourdi.

"Calm down, Mister. It's not like we're going to harm you."

Daniel followed Alex's command and put his hands up in the air.

"Did you think surrendering would help you save this little guy's life? Nah, not happening."

As he started to pull the trigger, Ash took the Engourdi and shot right at his hand.

He dropped the gun and yelled in pain.

"Ash! The rule doesn't allow you to fire until and unless the crime has been committed!" Alex said.

The culprit continued to yell in pain as he let go of the boy.

Ash hurried over to the boy and pulled him to her side.

As they made their way back to the HQ, Ash looked at the paralysed culprit.

"What will they do to him now?"

"Put him on a trial period. Then he will be taken to the 'Cinerator' if he is found guilty, which he definitely is since he abducted the boy. Kidnapping is a crime unforgiven. He'll be burnt alive." Daniel replied.

"Can't we just lock him up? Do we have to go to the extent of punishing him to death?" Ash revolted.

"Ash, mark your words. Be careful, we're being monitored." Alex warned.

Ash lowered her head with regret filling her up. Why did someone need to die because of her actions? Maybe she should've worked things out like Alex was doing.

Daniel looked over at her and pursed his lips.

"It's alright, Ash. Make sure you don't make the same mistake again. Let's go to interrogation room now." Alex tried to reassure her.

Ash looked at Alex and nodded as she got out of the car.
