While not having much competition due to the lack of human intervention in the area.

Ren knew the only way he could keep up with the fish was to pursue a water based qigong or the Dongxuan sultra due to its metabolic properties allowing the user to breath underwater like it was nothing and to basically copy properties of other qigongs due to its great sensing properties.

Albeit was impossible to unlock a gene lock in the first sanctuary the benefits of cultivating it even in its early stages held immense benefits.

Ren had been contemplating what qigong to pursue after immense study. He was able to understand a qigong was either yin or Yang some have abit of both.

The Dongxuan was the pinnacle yin qigong while the blood-pulse sultra was the pinnacle Yang qigong.

Han Sen was able to cultivate the Dongxuan sultra with out any hiccups due to residing in the yin half of the genoverse.

But in order to reap the full benefits of the blood-sultra qigong one would have to forsake the benifits the sanctuary offered.

The story of genes qigong though held both pinicule level of yin and Yang marking itself as the strongest qigong in existence. Such a qigong broke the rules of the world only able to be cultivated with the help of a god.

So Han Sen at his peek held the highest level of yin with the Dongxuan sultra and also held the highest level of Yang dispite never forsaking the sanctuary's after being blessed by the blood-sultra ancestor, but that too was not enough needing to cultivate jade skin a high level variant of the moon/ice gods qigong.

In addition to achieving the pinnacle of both yin and Yang. Han Sen also practiced the story of genes qigong essentially doubling all his efforts.

Ren wished to become just as powerful or even more so.

But he didn't want to be Han Sens copycat.

Even if he did wish to, doing so could hold far to much risk.

Essentially needing to steal Han Sens fate, by taking the supergene, he'd also need to be equally as lucky as Han Sen had been.

Shaking his head, looked for other solutions. One of which was to take advantage of the sanctuary.

Han Sen had basically received part of the essence of a god when transcending the sanctuary's maxing out all his geno points.

Ren believed by taking advantage of this essence he could theoretically tap into a qigong that offered more than what should be possible like the story of genes.

But Ren had larger aspirations, fully wanting to take advance of all resources also wished to find and abuse loopholes.

Another idea, one that Ren didn't really like, but was possible was to have a qigong that produced clones that could separate and also combine into his body, like a spirit.

He could manipulate his clones to each cultivate different qigongs and when in need fuse with them capable to wield power greater than no other.

But Ren wished for a more seamless solution. Having another idea that was pure speculation, Ren needed to first study the Dongxuan sultra.

Sighing, he continued his hunts, one step at a time he told himself.

Blending into a coral reef a hundred meters underwater a teen could be seen stalking shadows.

A moment later the teen the teen disappeared, appearing behind a stony shark its tail was cut extremely deeply exposing its bones.

The shark could only move around with its weaker fins and body, losing the function of its strong tail.

It lashed out trying to swim away while defending itself. In the next moment the teen moved again disappearing and reappearing on the back of the shark stabbing a coral dagger into the sharks chest.

"Sacred-blood creature dark-stone shark killed. No beast soul gained. Eat it's flesh to gain 0 to 10 sacred-blood geno points randomly."

The teen smirking grabbed both parts of the shark he separated with his blade, floated to the surface before climbing on a large whale hauling the meat on top.

The whale began swimming toward the shore. Using the whales blow hole that burned with a flame, the teen began cooking the shark, began eating most of it saving the rest for later.

"Flesh of dark-stone shark eaten. One sacred-blood geno point gained."

The teen didn't seem to mind that a beast soul wasn't obtained.

Thinking that he took an unexpectedly longer time six months passed. Turning 17, maxing out on mutant geno points and closing in on maxing out his sacred geno points.

Ren had cluddered his soul space with beast souls.

Instead of selling them for money he was going to exchange them for a favor with the military.

He was now at the age to apply for military school. Ren was not interested at all, but what could he do when his dad wished for it. After all, how could he, a mere awakened, defy a surpasser.

So if he had to go to military academy he might as well get into the one that granted the most free time.

Unfortunately that was also the highest rank military academy. Central alliance military academy.

Finding the shelters military headquarters, he had already made an appointment. So speaking to the receptionist he greeted. "Hello I have an appointment in about five minutes, could you let them know."

Glancing at Ren the man behind the counter spoke. "Your name kid?"

"Suzyu Ren" he spoke before sidelong down.

A minute later he was called into a room by a solider. Standing face to face with the shelter's military leader. He was asked, ignoring any greeting formality's. "So son, what do you have for me?" Getting straight to the point."

Speaking in respect, not for the man but for the human race and the alliance. "Yes, Sir I'm offering 367 ordinary beast souls. 279 primitive beast souls. 70 mutant beast souls and 15 sacred-blood beast souls." Ren finished stating his hoard of beast souls.

The shelter's military leader was a little confused not believing this kid earned these beast souls, probably buying them, but why sell them back to the military when it was more lucrative to sell them on the market back in the alliance.

Full of doubts the man entertained Ren, since he still proved the merit to have a brief private meeting with him. But still full of gruff, "what's your price."

Ren smiling spoke. "I just want a recommendation letter from you, so I have a better chance entering a higher ranking military academy."
