Goose Five
Strongest Abandoned Son is a gripping tale of a young man who has to grow stronger to protect himself after he accidentally transmigrated into a new body on earth. The characters are developed well and the story flows well. It is exciting to see how he overcomes obstacles and strengthens himself. There are a few sections that feel as though there is repetition, but it is still good. The protagonist is powerful but always manages to stir up trouble with cultivators more powerful than him. It has its funny parts, but it is not overly humorous. It focuses strength and power more than slice of life and humor. In summary, good story, good plot, good development.
Firstly, i'm really annoyed reading with so many typos. I could deal with the grammars but typos, count me off, it's just too irritating in my eyes. Secondly, some situation in the story seems to be.. Off? I'm just in Chapter 200 right now but, can girls in the story be more idiotic than in the current chapters that i'm reading? Not only that, for me even tho in many situation in the story seems really off to me. Third, i know. I should be greatful for it has been translated into english, and so that i can enjoy reading it. Don't get me wrong, i really enjoy the story and i am hooked up to it. Even tho i rarely read novels, i could say that i was lucky to read this novel. And also even in novels problem can occur, or etc. But i only said what i has in mind so. I don't mind taking criticism because of my review. After all, we are humans are we? *insert skyrim's speech perk at lvl 100 meme image*
So, I needed to get this off my chest. First I am truly enjoying this novel, and am thankful the translator and editor. That being said, I would like to suggest that they spend some time reading English literature. Preferably modern speculative fiction, and make note of sentence structure and word usage. That should help them to understand how the English language is used. I say that based on the assumption that neither is a native English speaker. If my assumption is incorrect, then I am truly disappointed in the two of them. I could only suggest they return to high school and not leave until they pass high school lvl language arts. I know this is kind of harsh to hear, but I am reading three novels by goose 5 and this translation really gets to me at times. For the potential readers of this novel, it is legible and can be understood easily. It is simply tranlated at the equivalent of an American elementary school 4th grader (approximately. 9 to 10 yo reading lvl).
The MC is an idiot simp. No, actually calling him an idiot simp is insulting to all of the idiots and simps out there. Also, after a couple hundred chapters there's a bunch of racism and 'china numba won!' stuff. Really annoying. If you feel that you're too smart and need to lose some brain cells, give this a read.
