Chapter 14
In another room in the abandoned building, Imogen and Ethan had finished discussing the details of their plan. When Imogen told him what she had in mind he was extremely pleased and couldn't stop praising her, Imogen's face was red because of how much Ethan had praised her. But they were interrupted by a knock on the door, Imogen was so irritated.
"Come in", Ethan said. "What is it Borris", Imogen asked in anger. "Ma'am I'm Nicolas", one of the men responded.
"Then who is Borris", she asked. "That would be me ma'am and it's Morice", the second man responded.
"I don't care what your name is all I want to know is why you are here and not at your post, if she escapes I won't spare you", Imogen asked.
"Her phone was ringing so I decided to bring it to you", Morice said. "So one of you couldn't bring it while the other watched over the door, are you both conjoined twins, If not why are you both here Nicole or whatever your name is get back to your post immediately" she ordered.
Then Daphne's phone started ringing and it was the same called Mira. "She's already looking for her", Ethan said
I agree", Imogen said then turned to Morice. "I have a simple task for you", she said.
PRESENTLY
Mira was so relieved when Daphne picked up, she was about to scold her but was interrupted by a deep voice before she could say anything. She immediately became alert.
"Hello", Morice's voice rang through the phone
"Who is this and why are you with this phone", she asked in a stern voice.
"I saw this phone lying on the table at a cafe, it seems like your friend left her phone here, I had no choice but to call back because you wouldn't stop calling", Morice replied.
"How did you unlock the phone", Mira asked.
"The phone didn't have a passcode", he responded.
"How do I find her now", Mira said absentmindedly whilst still on the phone.
"She was wearing a sportwear, she probably went for a run", Morice said.
"Thanks", she said. Something was off, and Mira felt it too but didn't know what to think of it.
"I'll mail it to you just send your add-", before he could finish his statement the woman on the other side of the phone interrupted him.
"Let's meet at a place like a cafe or a restaurant", she suggested.
"I'm sorry but I won't be able to meet up with you because I'm traveling tomorrow but don't worry I'll get someone to get you the phone, just tell me where and when", Morice responded.
Mira found the whole excuse suspicious but what could she do?
"Can I get it today at the cafe you are at right now, right now", she said.
"Sorry but I already left, how about tomorrow at noon, does that sound good to you", Morice asked.
"It's fine by me and also thank you, I'm so sorry for all the trouble", Mira said.
"No problem", he replied hanging up the phone immediately after he said his last sentence and then turned to the couple that was behind him.
"Gosh Boris, you are a talented actor, a natural but too bad you'll be a lackey for the rest of your life", Imogen said smirking.
"Can we focus on what's important right now", Ethan said, he then looked at Morice.
"You did a good job and I'll give you a bonus along with your remaining payment which you will receive after we have gotten rid of Daphne", Ethan continued.
"And Imogen no time for jokes, Matt gave us only today to get rid of her, so it's time to set your plan in motion, is there anything we need to get?", Ethan said while looking at Imogen.
"No, we have everything we need Ethan just get your men ready to clear out traces", Imogen responded.
"Morice go back to your post", Ethan said and Morice walked out.
"When everything is settled I have a big surprise for you", Imogen said smiling.
"I love surprises so I'll be looking forward to it, how about you tell me your big surprise over dinner at your favorite restaurant", Ethan said while placing a kiss on her forward.
"I would like that a lot", she responded and they both smiled at each other.
If someone saw them now they wouldn't believe that such a loving and innocent looking couple were about to completely ruin the life of another woman.
