I Had An Affair
Xue walked into the kitchen and saw Ren with his phone placed close to his ear.
"Who are you talking to, Ren?" she asked with her face void of any expression. She was confused, shocked, surprised all at the same time. Why had he come all the way to the kitchen to make a call? It was weird to her. He had even closed the kitchen door, a door that they hardly closed. Was it that he did not want her to hear what he was saying? What was the secrecy about?
When Xue had come out of the bathroom, she had called his name several times, but he had not even heard her. Only for her to find him so engrossed in a conversation n the phone, in the kitchen, with the door closed. Yes, she was definitely confused and she wanted to know what the call was all about.
