Caught In The Act
The morning of the following day was chilly and Xue had to wear a sweater on top of the turtle neck top that she was already putting on. She had decided not to go to work that day because she had plans with Su Na and most importantly, she needed to have alone time with her daughter.
Since that day in her school, both she and Ren had not had a word with Du. As Xue thought about it, she did not know the particular reason why they were stalling to talk to their daughter about what they had heard from her school.
That night after they had returned to the house, Ren had been so quiet but had asked Xue one question.
"Do you think that what the headteacher said was true?" Ren asked his wife as they undressed in the bedroom.
Xue had been silent as she did not even know what to say to him in response to his question.
