Chapter 106

The newcomer is none other than the current Sorcerer Supreme: Wong.

As Venom escaped from the magical prison, MJ and Ned, seizing the opportunity, grabbed the magic box and then escaped the basement.

At that moment, when Venom was called back by Doctor Octopus to assist the others, they successfully escaped.

Coincidentally, sensing a massive explosion near the Sanctum, Wong rushed back from somewhere and encountered them.

They quickly organized their words, making Wong understand the severity of the situation.

Though frustrated with Doctor Strange's behavior, he had grown accustomed to his occasional unreliability.

Wong immediately arrived at the basement, prepared to apprehend the villains.

"Uh-oh, it's a wizard!"

Venom yelled and, without a second thought, betrayed his teammates and fled.

Doctor Octopus, Lizard Doctor, Rhino, and Vulture, lacking Venom's abilities, could only try to confront Wong in the basement.

However, Wong, being an experienced sorcerer, akin to a monk in magical proficiency, was no less skilled than Doctor Strange.

With a wave of his hand, Rhino and Vulture, the tech-dependent combatants, were entangled with magical whips and fell to the ground.

Seeing the unfavorable situation, Doctor Octopus and Lizard Doctor fled separately.

Lizard Doctor repeated his old trick, finding the scent of the sewer, and directly broke through a toilet, diving in.

However, in the next moment, he reappeared in the magical prison.

Seeing no way out, Doctor Octopus reluctantly surrendered.

Thus, their jailbreak plan was stillborn. Doctor Octopus, Lizard Doctor, Vulture, and Rhino, after regaining freedom for less than a minute, found themselves imprisoned once again.

Only Venom seized the chaos to escape.

Meanwhile,

Mark and Max, along with middle-aged Spider-Tobey and Doctor Strange who was fighting together, and Spider-Tom who was still lying on the ground, all got wind of this news.

Middle-aged Spider-Tobey swept a leg towards the Ghost, who used his arm as a shield.

Maintaining his stance, middle-aged Spider-Tobey asked, "Was it your directive?"

"Surprised? Hahaha!" The Ghost retorted and burst into laughter, thoroughly enjoying himself.

Middle-aged Spider-Tobey glanced back at Doctor Strange, who seemed unfazed. Feeling reassured, he said, "Too bad you miscalculated. The Sanctum is not as simple as you think!"

"What?" The Ghost was confused.

Although the trouble was handled by Wong, Doctor Strange still found it troublesome, but knew he couldn't afford to lose the momentum.

He sneered, both hands casting spells to suppress the Ghost, "He's right; your plan has failed!"

The Ghost growled.

He shook his body, releasing a dozen miniature missiles from under his cloak.

As Spider-Man, wearing metal armor would interfere with the spider-sense. Yet, the Ghost cleverly utilized the cloak to conceal many weapons, maintaining his spider-sense effectiveness while significantly expanding his offensive capabilities.

This showcased his intelligence.

A completely liberated, unscrupulous, highly intelligent villain!

Doctor Strange flicked his hand, creating a portal directly in front of the mini-missiles, with three more portals opening respectively to his left, right, and behind.

The missiles split into three, turning back towards the Ghost.

Meanwhile, Spider-Tobey had already distanced himself from the scene.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Continuous explosions resounded.

Swoosh! A figure silently emerged from the explosions.

It was the Ghost.

Seeing the situation turning against him, he was ready to escape.

However, with Doctor Strange present, it was impossible for him to just get away as he wished.

Doctor Strange whipped out a beam of light, binding the Ghost and preparing to send him back.

Spider-Tom quickly stopped him, enduring the pain in his foot. He walked up to the bound Ghost and sternly asked, "Where's May? Where did you hide May?!"

"Hehehe—she's already dead!" The Ghost sneered.

"What?" Spider-Tom was shocked, taking a quick step forward but almost stumbling due to his unrecovered foot.

Middle-aged Spider-Tobey quickly supported him, bringing him to the side of the captive Ghost.

"Regardless, all of this has nothing to do with her. Why harm an innocent person?" Middle-aged Spider-Tobey questioned.

"Hahaha, it doesn't matter?" The Ghost laughed manically, "No matter."

Crack!

The mask on his face retracted, revealing the face beneath.

Spider-Tom and Middle-aged Spider-Tom were first puzzled, finding the face somewhat familiar, then shocked.

They saw the face of the Ghost, which was identical to the severely injured adult Andrew Spider currently in the hospital!

Their ages were even quite similar!

The only difference was that the Ghost Andrew Spider's face bore numerous centipede-like scars, giving it a completely disfigured and terrifying appearance.

"You, you're also Peter?!"

"You're also Spider-Man?!"

Both exclaimed in shock.

Ghost Andrew Spider's face briefly revealed a nostalgic expression, then he burst into laughter as if hearing the world's funniest joke.

However, he refused to answer the two's questions.

Doctor Strange shook his head, "He's not Spider-Man; he's just a madman, completely insane."

Despite this, both Middle-Aged Tobey Spider and Spider-Tom couldn't help but wonder what had happened to make this Peter change into what he is now, even abandoning the Spider-Man identity entirely, adopting the name Ghost.

"Yeah, hahaha, I'm indeed not Spider-Man, and certainly not Peter Parker! I am the Ghost, a demon from hell!" The Ghost laughed manically.

Doctor Strange frowned, looking around.

As the battle seemed to have temporarily ended, the police officers who were initially observing from a distance were starting to approach.

He immediately cast a teleportation spell, "Anyway, let's leave this place."

As the words fell, the four disappeared.

At the same time, on the other side, Mark and Max also received the news from this side.

Simultaneously, due to the end of the battle, Doctor Strange freed up his hands, teleporting them directly to the basement of the Sanctum.

This made Mark envy Doctor Strange's remote teleportation.

Although he could simulate Doctor Strange's magic with his self-created "quantum magic," many aspects were mere imitations.

He wondered if Doctor Strange would be willing to open up his bookshelf for him to study.

If he could directly understand the construct of magic, he could replicate it directly, rather than just imitating!

By then, he might truly establish his own "quantum magic system".

"I heard there was an attack here?" Mark looked at Ned and MJ sitting beside him, asking.

Ned quickly nodded, then explained what he knew.

However, he did not leave the Sanctum and only felt a sudden tremor before the incident of Venom escaping.

"What, Venom actually escaped!" Mark was slightly surprised, quickly looking towards the direction of the magical prison.

He came here specifically to provide detailed descriptions of Venom to Doctor Strange, precisely to prevent him from causing trouble.

Unexpectedly, he still managed to escape.

"That seems to be a dimensional being; in reality, magic cannot control him. Perhaps, he didn't come out earlier due to some concerns." A voice sounded.

It was Wong.

A robust figure, not quite resembling a wizard but more like a warrior magician.

Despite his plain appearance and not having an array of treasures like Doctor Strange, his experience and strength were in no way inferior to Doctor Strange.

He used to be the librarian of the Sanctum Sanctorum in Kamar-Taj, responsible for determining who had the qualifications to peruse the private collection of the former Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One.

In terms of strength, he was proficient in various martial arts and combat techniques, integrating magic into them, forming a combat style distinct from Doctor Strange.

During the five years when Doctor Strange was snapped away by Thanos, he silently resisted the attacks from the dark dimensions on their reality. This alone was enough to prove his strength.

"So, you mean to say that he could have come out all along, just waiting for an opportunity?" Mark was somewhat surprised.

Wong nodded, then looked at Doctor Strange with a scrutinizing gaze.

Doctor Strange felt extremely awkward, like a child caught doing something wrong by a parent.

"Cough, we don't need to bother about that guy; actually, I don't think he's the type to enjoy causing destruction. How about we interrogate this guy first, find out the whereabouts of Peter's aunt, and then we can send them back, putting an end to all this." Strange quickly proposed a solution.

After thinking for a moment, everyone felt that it was the only viable option.

Observing Venom, they noticed that he was more of a self-talking and amusing character, not truly resembling a super villain who enjoys chaos and genocide. So, letting him run around for a while wouldn't cause much harm.

Besides, it wouldn't be long before they could send them back to their respective worlds.

"Alright, let's question this guy now."

Doctor Strange directly suspended Ghost in mid-air, standing alongside Wong.

Mark and the others each found a position standing behind them.

Subsequently, Doctor Strange cast a hypnosis spell on Ghost, and under the dual effects of hypnosis and telepathy, he quickly "saw" everything he wanted to know from Ghost's memories.

This included the Ghost's origin and his actions in his world.

Doctor Strange looked at the unconscious Ghost with a complex expression and sighed slightly.

Because he invaded memories directly, he could see more comprehensively and understand the entire journey from "Peter Parker to Spider-Man and then to Ghost."

To be fair, many people might end up at this point if they experienced what he had gone through.

Perhaps for some with fragile minds, the pointing fingers of a thousand people coupled with the grief of losing loved ones might have led them to choose self-destruction.

After a moment of silence, he, in his own language, slowly narrated Ghost's story from a third-party perspective.

In the end, he looked at Spider-Tom and said, "Peter, you must be strong; you are not fighting alone; you still have us."

"Mr. Strange..."

"Call me Stephen."
