Ignorance is a Bliss.
I sat up and look at the system screen as all my sleep was blown away. I didn't know whether to feel happy or angry. But i didn't have time, for only 20 minutes were left before my very first quest would end in failure.
For all i knew if i failed this quest it could have serious consequences.
I quickly get up from the bed in the guest bedroom
and made my way to the door, all the while complaining to the system.
' What brought this on?! Couldn't you have just given me this quest earlier in the morning ? I could have atleast prepared More! '
* Host , The system doesn't issues quests. *
' Oh Yeah, I forgot . The one who assign's the quest is that guy! Shit! What do i do now !? ' As i slowly open the door and start moving towards the living room.
In the living room i could see that mom and dad were dressed and ready to go. Dad was holding a small silver suitcase and mom was holding one that looked like it had clothes in it.
I pondered as to what would be the best idea to stall
them as i racked my brain, i couldn't come up with anything so i did what any one with a system would do.

I had a limited time. I don't have any preparations in advance, it was a state of emergency and i could only think of two factors that will likely keep them here. Either i get rid of the whole problem or I act my age and throw a tantrum.
The problem which was their persuers i couldn't solve in the given time limit. Even if i got rid of the item being persued ,The silver suitcase it wouldn't do any thing. So i buckled up and started my plan.
' System i want you stop the skill just after my nose bleed starts. ' I didn't even wait for the system's response and started the skill Enhanced Mind.

As soon as the skill started i felt the rush and the calm but this time i couldn't enjoy it because i just had a revelation.
I couldn't move, tears started to well up in my eyes
but i couldn't even progress anyother thing after coming to a conclusion. After 3 seconds my nose began to bleed , i had a throbbing head But i still couldn't move.
Uncle Ben noticed me standing there with my nose bleeding and my hands holding my head.
" O My God! Peter, are you Ok!? " Ben said as he started to move towards me.
Everyone now had their attention drawn to me.
Mom practically teleported to my side.
All the others soon followed and asked me of my well being.
I couldn't bear it any longer. Tears started leaving my eyes and i hugged my mom and started bawling.
They didn't know what had happened, so they took me to the guest bedroom and started comforting me. I stopped crying and pretended to fall asleep.
Soon everyone left the room and i was left alone on my bed. Mom stayed till the last. She kept me in he embrace and telling me that she was there , but that just made me feel even worse for what i was doing right now.
When they left the room. I opened my eyes just to see my biggest failure in both lives starting me in my face.

I couldn't save them. I am so weak. I couldn't even save the one thing that was most precious to me.
That's right it wasn't about the quest anymore.
My parents, they were going to die and i couldn't do anything to save them.
My heart was screaming at me to do something, but my mind had already made a decision. If i interfered and didn't let them go now i will make the situation worse.
How did i know this, It was a smaller part because of the skill Enhanced Mind and bigger part The quest given at the worst time possible.
The revelation i came to, told me of my parents death. But it wasn't because they were leaving right now. It had already been decided they were going to die, even before i was sent to this new life.
And i wouldn't be able to do anything.
Due the skill i knew what will happen if they stayed and that was even worse.
In three seconds the skill was activated i saw 703 possibilities. And all of them turned out to be worse than in which they went to this one.
Their was 0% chance of My parents surving.
I couldn't figure out what to do now, my chest hurt as my heart kept on pounding faster and faster in my chest. And suddenly everything just went Calm.

*DING. . .Due to Host forcefully using the skill [Enhanced Mind] without meeting the given requirements, Host will have the respective skill locked for 2 Years.*
I wasn't even mad at the system for doing that. Honestly i hated that skill. It was a wise saying isn't it, That sometimes Ignorance is bliss.
