Reality check!

“Are you ok?” Rose whispered, she could tell that the latter was disturbed.

“Yes.” She forced a smile and sighed. “I… I really appreciate…”

“No need.” Rose interrupted. “After all we are sisters.” She added gently.

She threw herself on the wet beach again exhaling hard. She was all sweaty and panting. She never danced that much in her entire life. She drank the last drop of water, and sat admiring the surrounding. She secretly wished to stay here forever. She casted another look at the sea, and some bad memories engulfed her; the last time she saw her mother, she was in these waters. They were so happy. But it lasted only for a few moments. She sighed and closed her eyes, a warm tears rolled down her hot cheeks. She still remembers what her mother always said;

“Shelly always believes in you. Be good and have patience. Even if I won’t be here, I will always be with you, Always believe that behind every moment there is always a reason and after every sadness, there’s happiness. If you feel sadness, believe in happiness. If you feel hatred, believes in love. If you feel lonely, believe in friendship. As long as you will believe, I will be there for you…!”

“As long as you will believe, she will always be there for you.” A soft voice interrupted her. It was Rose, her soft perfume was cut out with the strong scent of the orange alcoholic cocktail she had. “I know, it’s your mother.”

“Sometime, I wonder, how my life would have been, if she was still here.” She whispered. She nervously bit her lips and smile faintly.

“Do you think that she is there?” For one moment, she knew she caught Rose off guard. What a stupid question? Of course not! She is gone. The only thing that was left was her advice she used to give her about life. “I mean, still watching out for me!” She felt her eyes burned, no she can’t cry over, not now. If she did, she knows that she would not stop.

Rose gently ran her fingers, on her bare shoulder, instead of answering. She sighed and smile faintly at Shelly. “I guess, that’s a no!” She chuckled. “Funny! I never expected my life that empty.” She added- sighing. “I always imagine that when I reach this age, I would already taste success and here I am pondering about how to stop worrying and start living!”

Shelly walked through the dense crowd. Everyone was wasted. "What the...." She felt someone grabbing her arm and pulling her back. The next moment she knew, she was already in his arms. He was tall and had strong, warm arms. His perfume was really tempting. Shelly thought that his eyes appeared like fresh emerald, were spreading a sense of naughtiness. There was something intense, about him. His hair was blond. She could feel her fingers trembling on his hard chess. One hand holding her arms, while the other on her waist, holding her carefully, as if he was afraid to crush her. She finds herself really tiny in front of him. He brings himself closer, to her ears and slowly whispered… “Hi!”

He was the one. The one who gave her the roses, the one who claimed to be her friend. She was sure about it. He stares strait into her dark chocolate brown eyes. For a moment she felt assured and safe. “Who are you?” She whispered.
