Chapter 6: Elves

A young blonde man came inside the ward and he was coming towards me. He had long pointed ears and crystal clear eyes. He was a fair skinned person having a fit and athletic body that every adventurers wish for. He took a chair and sat on it.

I asked, "May I know who are you?"

He smiled and answered, "I saved your life."

I replied, "Then I thank you for rescuing me. Is there anything I can do for you."

He answered, " Yeah. I want to offer a mission to you and the reward for this is 20 Mana stones. How does that sound"

I got surprised and was taken aback by his words. Mana Stones are crystals having a good amount of mana and may help you in increasing the mana rank.

I said in my mind, "Status!"

A pop out window appeared in front of me and it was sure that the man could not see the window in front of me as he did not react at all.

The details of the man was shown.

I asked about him.

He replied, " I am Vintage Brick of Elven race. I am a rank B Mage."

"He is a talented mage." I thought.

I asked about the mission to him.

He gave me details. I was just told to protect his Elf village's Chief's Daughter from the Demons who were trying to rampage the village. The girl should be transported to the neighboring village of Elves.

I asked him that why did he offered this mission to me, he could have offered this to anyone else.

He calmly replied, " You will see soon."

I was a bit puzzled by his answer.

I thought this to be a pretty good mission as I don't have to involve in fighting with the high ranked demons. So, I agreed yes.

I informed and lied to my friend and mom that I had to go for next dungeon raid.

Vintage got me some refreshments and snacks to get charged.

After my discharge, He took me straight to his village by creating a portal. We sat in a carriage and it started riding. The scenery was quite ecstatic as there were trees and flowers blooming everywhere. This was supposed to be a peaceful ride until the carriage suddenly tumbled upside down. Vintage and I first, got out of the carriage through its window.

We could see a couple of ten demons surrounding us. We winked at each other and I ran straight to them. Thank god, It was a D-ranked type horned demon who were beheaded by the hands of mine and Vintage had blew their organs out. But that was not it, there were more 20 demons running from the forest towards us like minions.

I asked about our current distance with his village. He replied that it might be 10 km from here.

I told him to run and report this to the village. He looked at me and nodded. And soon he vanished.

I turned towards them and smiled .

I then took out a poison potion given by my friend and threw it towards them. It was able to take some down.

I then started swinging the katana decapitating the demons and piercing the eyes and the skins.

I did not forgot to collect their horns as they were of good price due to its toughness and durability.

After they were finished, I took a breath and sighed.

There was blood all over my clothes and it stinks, seriously.
