Chapter 3: The first VR kill

As soon as I got nearer to them, I firmly held the katana and started slashing them in to pieces. It was my first kill in my whole life...in virtual reality of course but who knows I may be killing some beasts tomorrow. After then I saw some more horde of goblins coming towards me. There was a goblin lord there having size three times of normal goblin.

Watching them, I again held my katana with both hands and started killing them. In midst of battle, I took a goblin by hand and threw it to another goblin's dagger. I was just swinging my sword in all different ways, and it was all piercing the and cutting the goblins. I got some of the dead goblin's dagger and threw them into the eyes of other goblins. After getting on the top of one goblin, I jumped over to kill the lord. But he saw my attack and used his axe made out of metal to defend mine. I then rushed back to kill all goblins.

After clearing the pawns, I started to run against the lord. He was shouting and also came running towards me. Making the ground shake from his steps was scaring the shit out of me. Though I remained calm and started throwing stones toward him to distract him, I knew it was not a noble way of fighting but who cares as I was only caring about the qualification of test.

My plan was a success as he got distracted and I took steps to leap over to cut his nape. Then creating scars on his back to piercing his joints was my moves. Eventually, he got down with sound 'thud' made due to fall.

I was yawning and stretching my arms. Suddenly I sensed an arrow coming towards me leading me to turn towards my right. He shot multiple arrows and out of which some came as fire, ice etc. enchanted ones.

I managed to dodge all and started running randomly, towards the place from where it was coming. It was surely inside the forest which was 2 meters away from my current place. As I got near, I used my aiming skills to pick a stone from the ground and threw it towards it. After 1 second, I heard the sound of someone crying in pain. I smiled.

I ran and saw a fair skinned adult elf male lying on ground crying as his eye got pierced by my stone. My katana helped me in detaching his head from his body.

A pop out window came out of nowhere and it read :

"Congratulations, Ryoma. You have successfully cleared and passed your VR test."

I took a small breath and removed my helmet. I saw some black suit people congratulating me and gave me a small energetic drink. I drank it making the bottle empty. After resting for few minutes, I was taken to another room where final test was supposed to happen.

I went inside the room which was large only to notice that there is a tall and gigantic robot in front of me. A man from the window above me alerted that the test will start in 3.5 minutes. I stretched my fingers and sighed.

After 3.5 minutes, The robot stood up and stared at me. Wasting no time, I ran and tried to cut the main power portal to defeat him. This was the only way. Of course it was not easy and the robot threw some ice spears from his motor designed by the magic engineers. He was spraying fire like a mad dog. It looked like a an ideal killing machine.

The robot was using a rod like item to beat me.

After 1 hour , I managed gather my strength and courage and threw my katana at the portal when I got the chance. The robot stopped and was not moving.

I fell to ground and heard that I qualified the final test. I was satisfied with my progress and saw some burn mark and cuts on my arm and leg.

The healers rushed towards me and healed me. I was then awarded the B-rank Swordsman title by the center.

Though I was aiming for assassin type, it seemed that I was not having the abilities like that.

Feeling joyed, I messaged a text to my mom. As I got out, I saw my friend Kuro waiting for him.

He hugged me and congratulated me. Even Kuro had become a B-rank Alchemist to which I praised him a lot.

The next matter I was now thinking was the Guilds...
