Sorry author, didn't read it at all. But, I personally hate NTR and you can't be too cruel, that's NTR for 3 times. And why the hell would you do that? I know that you wouldn't read this but I still want to scream at you, You should remember that your work is getting views in millions. So many people are reading your work and what you write will effect them. I still remember the effect when a well developed female main lead died in a novel I read and it left me with a deep impression and I did feel sad. Now why should the millions of readers read this? Only to learn about a pitifully Weak MC and NTR'ed thrice. I mean, What the **** are you trying to say?
This novel have an interesting cultivation model and world, but not too far removed from normal cultivation novel you will be unable to understand it. However, the cultivation is more similar to wuxia than xianxia since most of them still ride horses to go here and there lol, no peerlessly riding on a sword for them. The main character, I wont call him 'righteous', but he is not a scoundrel. He is a very loyal person (towards other men) and very brave. He would not try to save the world or any poor soul he meet, but he wouldn't trample on others for fun. He is quite uncouth and have lowborn manners, so you wont see deeply calculating mc here. He wont hesitate to massacre sentient beings for profits, but this is on par with any other Chinese mc, only Japanese mc would explore relationships between sentient beings. I am not sure what are these people crying about NTR - these women are not his One True Love, but MC still try to avenge them so their death show he is not a heartless person. Having various women and men die for our MC is important since this MC is the struggling kind of MC (but he's still fine and have a nice golden finger, he is not beaten to a pulp by author like in Death Scripture). Recommended.
Readers Be Warned: NTR ahead. However, for those of you who have enough sense to understand that a 'tag' isn't a true reflection of a story's quality (and that most of the people who review this don't even bother reading the thing)... ...It's still pretty **** (for me at least). Here's why: Story is generally slow-paced, especially the first few hundred chapters. While the mini-arcs of the story are relatively fast-paced, there's just so much going on that the main story itself doesn't gain significant progress. I blame this on all the political drama it keeps advocating. MC has a generic personality (cares for his friends, cunning, etc. Like every other Chinese novel MC out there), which takes a turn for the worse later on in the story. I won't spoil anything, but let's just say he's not the most admirable person in the world. While the premise of the story is rather interesting (you have taoists, monks, demonic creatures, devils, etc), it's still pretty one-dimensional in the sense that you don't need a brain to understand what is going on. But then again, almost every other Chinese novel have this trait. (Emphasis on the every, not the almost) The only interesting part, I would say is the way these different factions interacted with one another. The concept of racial politics is rarely touched upon in other Chinese novels, and I like that this story even bothers bringing it up. TLDR; Interesting setting for story; poor development Decently compelling mini-arcs and battles; slow progress of main story Generic MC; not the best dude later on Giving a story a 1 star review because of NTR is about as relevant as giving every other story a 5 star review because of harem (If I wanted to fap, I would watch **** instead, not read a novel)
I didn't understand how this novel could be so poorly ranked but after seeing the reviews I can understand why and that has compelled me to write my first ever review. For those put off by NTR don't be misled by the false reviews. I feel the same and I can assure you it is absent in this novel. It is a great story, similiar to ISSTH in its HUMOUR, the protagonists character and TRANSLATION QUALITY. This honestly deserves to be at the top of the rankings not the bottom. Give it a chance, you'll be glad you did. Probably haven't done this review properly but the aim of this was to defend the novel and clear false impressions. Still can't understand how people give reviews when they're basing it on other misinformed reviews rather than their own reading smh.
WTF man NTR hell no why would anybody want to read that just hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really really enjoy this novel. The main character develops slow enough to make a good story but level jumps and advances fast enough that it satisfies my criteria for a satisfying weak to strong MC, I'm not sure why the other reviews trash this novel so hard but I enjoy it immensely. I'd put it right up there with my favorites like God of Slaughter and Super Gene. It really updates too slow though....it probably just needs more readers to increase the pace so give it a try!!!!
This is a story of a man thrust into the world of cultivation after helping his two step-siblings get into cultivation sects. The advancement in cultivation is slow and there are many fighting moments throughout the novel. However, a large part of the novel so far shows the intelligence and scheming of the MC to advance his position in the sect he belongs to. It's incredibly humorous to read as the MC is both shameless and witty. A fun read even though the story progresses a little slow for my taste. :D
