Chapter 4: A mind sharper than any blade
After a couple of days of killing and sleeping on the jungle bed, a shower was like a dream. The excitement rush from all the farming stopped and only an aching body was left.
They gave me a tent which was supposed to be for high ranking Generals. It seems they started to go soft on me.
That victory saved hundreds of lives and tens of millions of dollars of resources.
After a good sleep I got up and went out of the tent for a walk. I felt stiff, It felt like I slept for 24 hours at least.
During the mission I changed my clothes to a lieutenant's clothes, and after a rest I didn't change back to my original coat. I just wore some clean officer clothes they left me in the tent.
I walked towards canteen which was another tent and saw Agent Carter walking with fast steps towards me.
- How can I help you Agent Carter? If it's going to take more than 2 minutes let's talk about it in the canteen, I feel like I can eat 3 meals at the same time.
Agent Carter nodded and we walked toward the canteen slowly.
- I was ordered to get the details about your powers and their extent. .
I smiled and said:
- You know they say a magician never reveals his tricks.
She took out a notebook with an attached pencil on it.
- But we are in a war and we need the details to prepare proper strategies. Start from the burning golem. How many can you make?
- So forceful. I like it. But I cannot tell you much. You don't trust me and I don't trust you.
She took out an ID from her pocket which had my name but didn't have my face.
- We created your ID and documents required for you to be considered as an American. You just need to take a picture this afternoon and everything will be finished. You are going to be given a Second Lieutenant rank for your services. You are now able to take a platoon on your missions if you want to. Also we are preparing a house and a bank account for you. All you need to do aside the picture as I said, is to continue your cooperation with us.
I smiled and said: "I don't see why not. I can create them once a month to be safe." Even though we were cooperating I couldn't see why I should give them a complete knowledge on my powers.
- What about the disappearing thing? You called it smoke.
- That's also once a month. I can use more like in two weeks but it's going to drain me a lot. There are other kinds of powers that I have but I don't have access to, I prefer to work on defensive position for now, and each month go for a mission like that until I practice to have more combat power.
- So your powers will grow? To what level?
- I don't know actually. I'm figuring things out as I improve myself.
She accepted my answer and nodded.
- I'll talk to my superiors. I'll ask them to give you strategic sites to create your magical minefield. Until we call you for another mission after a month. Of course we will pay you according to the difficulty of the mission.
I smiled and said: "OK. Do you want to join me for launch?"
- No, I need to leave this camp. There is another mission I need to participate in. Your new handler will arrive tomorrow.
- Have a nice day Agent Carter. Say hello to Mr. Rogers for me.
- Who is Mr. Rogers?
- You'll know later.
She got annoyed a bit with me trying to act mysterious so she didn't pursue it further and left after saying goodbye.
I went inside the canteen and took some food from the chef soldiers there who eyed me with scared and nervous looks.
I didn't care obviously. I sat on a table and started eating whatever food that was. I opened my Talents page mentally and looked at them.
Current Talents: Cast range +5m (Level5), Cast range +5m (Level10), Demonic Conversion: +2 eidolons (Level15)
Use your talent point to gain one of the below:
(Soul Rip: +18 Attack or Heal per unit / 6% cooldown reduction / +4 Armor / Wolves Summon: +2 Wolf / +10 STR / Poison Sting: +5dps and +10% slow)
Both cooldown and poison sting were good. With poison sting leveled up once or twice, plus this talent, each of my normal attacks on any normal human would kill them.
I decided not to choose right at that moment. I could save it to see what I would need in the future. But I wanted to use my ULT. I needed more ultimate skills.

WOW! To be able to create many illusion making smaller walls that move around! This could be an army killer ability!
I wished that I didn't send Agent Carter away for a second, but I thought I should keep some parts of my power hidden. Also I didn't want them to send me into impossible missions.
I finished my food and went back to my tent. I felt tired again and just went to sleep. Who didn't want more sleep? Also I didn't know when Captain America would start his journey, but it might become more chaotic after that. So I needed more rest. You know as they say "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the ax," sleep was my whetstone.

The day after my new handler arrived. Major Dickenson.
He gave me plans for my next month. And I agreed to all of them while using 8 points to increase my proximity mines level to level 3. (3 points to level 2, and 5 points to level 3)
Next level needed 10 skill points that I doubted I would need to level it up or need it that much.
I called team with Lieutenant Jackson as their leader. They didn't look that happy to see me.
I liked these relaxing days. It was enjoyable days. Armies were fighting and killing each other and I was planting mines, like a proper techies player. It was relaxing.
