Interrogating Penny and ATec

"Alex, I want you to help me with something," I said as I had some evidence in my hand.

"What's up?"

"Just check these out," I said handing out the flash drive.

We both checked the videos from two weeks back, till the ATec incident. We can see that the design concept was handed over to the lead designer who met, Penny at a coffee shop near the office. After handing in the documents she seems to be calling someone, informing someone her work is done. Another ten minutes later a person comes and gives her a package.

"Hi, rewind the video," said Alex.

"Why?"

"Isn't this the same guy that was there with Ms.Wang at the press conference," he said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes,"

"First we'll double-check with the photos from the event," I said looking up the video and photos from the event.

"Ben, see the same tattoo, on his left-hand wrist,"

"Hmm... We better keep this evidence,"

I called Markus and Alex's team leader. We showed them these videos and asked them to find out more details and all the people involved before we have the meeting with ATec at four pm.

Alex instructed Penny's chief head to keep an eye on her and not let her go out of the office. We will have to expose her identity. She might suffer a lot but as a company, we cannot just let this go.

"Hi, dear,"

"Will you come home for lunch?" asked Sarah.

"Hmm, I have some things to do before the ATec meeting. So I will come after five,"

"Oh ok... Then I won't make lunch," she said, and I could hear her sad tone.

"Ok love, I will see you in the evening,"

Alex was looking at me.

"What?"

"She's upset?"

"Hmm, she never has meals without me when I am around,"

"Call your father, ask him to go there with some food," said Alex with a smile on his face.

I nodded in agreement and called my father.

"Father, are you busy?"

"No Benny, what's up?"

"Hmm.. because we found a clue on the ATec issue and I am going to have to stay in office till late to handle this issue, so.."

"Is Little Bud with you?"

"No father, she's at home and I was hoping to go home in about an hour but now I can't,"

"Do you want me and your mother to be with her till you come?"

"Hmm, I wish you could. She said she won't cook as I am not going home,"

"Ok, I get it. Don't worry son. I will go there with your mother, hold on, Ben,"

I heard him asking my mother if she had made lunch if not to make extra so they can visit and have lunch, Sarah.

"Father, you guys don't cook,"

"What do you mean Ben," asked my mother.

"Think as you guys are treating yourselves and get some take away from that place you guys love,"

"Oh!! ok. We haven't visited there in a long time. Do you know what will Sarah love?"

"Hmm... I think she will love the chicken fried rice with a bit of gravy,"

"Ok then, we'll be heading to your home in a little while,"

"Thank you father,"

After a while, Markus came up with the details and what we assumed was true. Ms.Wang uses Penny. So who uses Ms.Wang?

We had lunch while talking about the possibilities. I also called Paul (CIA) and sent the clips to verify the facts as we felt all these seem to connect each other.

The meeting started at the right time with the Atec team. There CEO was a young man with promising talent, I explained to them that we are willing to give them a guiding hand to improve and be successful as a team.

"Ben, that guy next to the CEO is the one from the video that Penny hands over the files to,"

I and Alex excused and had a private chat with the CEO of ATec, and told him what had happened. He looked so worried as he had trusted his employee, whom he had known for some time. But he agreed to our plan to expose the issue.

I invited Penny's chief and Anthony and Markus. After a few more discussions I diverted everyone's attention to the issue that happened.

"Sir, would you like to see some videos?" I asked the ATec CEO.

"Yes, Mr.Ben,"

I played all the five video's from time to Penny collecting the draft drawings and handing them to ATEC team members and Penny collecting some packages from Ms.Wang's right-hand man.

"Penny care to explain?" Asked Alex.

"Sir, where did you get these? I haven't done anything wrong.." she pleaded while looking at the ATec''s team member.

Suddenly he spoke, "Penny didn't you tell me these were the designs you did?"

"I...err..." said Penny looking down.

"You completely set me up as stealing ideas, you told me you had an idea and you said you wanted to give this a chance," he said angrily.

"Cousin, I am sorry I lied to you," she said almost crying.

What cousin!!!! Everyone looked at each other.

"Penny listen to me, you have to tell me why you really did this? And who was the one that gave you that money? I am so ashamed to tell you that you are my cousin."

"I am sorry, I was forced by Ms.Wang..."

"What did you say?" Asked the ATec CEO.

"I am really sorry to have caused such trouble sir. Ms.Wang asked me to do it. If not..." she stopped.

"You have to tell us everything Penny, You have put two companies in trouble and not to mention the reputation itself," I said angrily.

She was almost crying, "If not she said she will expose my secret,"

"What?" asked her cousin.

"I was molested by a gang when I was sixteen, to escape I stabbed one with a knife,...They were Ms.Wang's gangsters. She said that if I don't do things that she says, she will report me to the police,"

We all looked at each other, trying to figure out what was going on.
