Chapter 6 Keep moving forward

A few hours later.

They head home after the funeral.

"Shade, come here i have something important to talk with you." Says Shades dad.

Shade and his father sit down.

"What is it dad."

"Listen son, i know how you feel. It must be really depressing. i have been through the same experience before when your grandmother and your grandfather died but you gotta keep moving forward. I know that you are feeling so sad that you want to kill yourself. I wont stop you even you want to do that. Let all the emotion pour out like a waterfall. I will leave the decision upto you, since its your life. You will decide what you wanna do from now."

"Dad, i know that you are trying your hardest to comfort me but... i cant even do that much, i am so stupid that i cant even say something to make you feel better. You are going through the same pain as i am right now, but even so you are trying to comfort me..." says shade in his mind.

"Shade, now that your mother is no more, your life will change drastically. I cant guarantee whether this change will be good or bad but all i can say is that, if you keep living life might get better later on. I have decided to go back to my homeland and spend some time there. Meanwhile you can stay with your grandparents. They are going through alot as well, i hope they can calm down if you stay with them for a little. I know that i am sounding selfish as father to leave you behind like this and at a situation like this of all times..."

"Its ok dad, I will be fine. You can head towards your homeland right away. I will stay at home for a few days and then i will go to my grandparents home, since they don't live that far from here."

Shade comes forward and hugs his father.

"goodbye dad. stay safe."

Shades father leaves for his homeland the next morning.

*Sigh*

"I guess, i could play some games to pass my time. I even have some food that could last for about a few days." Says Shade while walking down the hallway.

Shade comes back to his room and starts playing games on his computer.

1 Day

2 Days

3 Days go by just like that...

"Damn, I don't even remember the last time i showered, i most likely stink." says Shade while eating a bag of potato chips.

"I've never lived my life like this ever since i was born. Is this what they call a degenerates lifestyle? I wonder if mom would let me live like this if she was alive...."

"Ah man i really wanna see her right now. Do people really meet each other in the afterlife?"

"Playing games isn't so bad, it makes me escape reality. but I think i should still go back to my usual life."

Shade gets up from his chair and heads towards the shower.

After 10 minutes in the shower he gets out and opens his rooms windows.

He immediately notices how dirty his room is.

"Nah i need to clean this room ASAP. This actually hurting my head."

After cleaning his room he decides to wear something good for the first time in 5 days.

"Not bad. Maybe I should go outside for a little to get some fresh air. Its night time too so I might grab something on my way back."

Shade heads outside after a few minutes.

"This feels so different. It feels like i haven't been outside for months...."
