Guy-wrenching feeling.

I thought about what he said for a moment and I felt guilty, but then again, I was in this mess because of him as well. So basically, we're in this crap together.

"Fine." I pouted and hugged the clothes to my chest with a sigh as I stood up.

Walking towards the bathroom, I stopped in place and frowned.

"What's wrong?" Sinister asked in that warm winter voice of his.

"Sinister," I breathed turning back at him, "This place, Vitaly, those people… they're-"

He looked at me almost in a challenge to continue.

"They're Rosalie's family, aren't they?"

When he didn't answer, my fear was confirmed.

"They want to kill me, don't they?" My panic flared once again.

"They'll do no such thing." He scowled, " Not as long as I'm alive."

Somehow that seemed to comfort me yet worry me at the same time. Not for my life, but for his.

"Now go." He finished, "I'll be here when you're done."

Nodding in agreement, I headed to the shower and quickly got dressed in the soft clothes I was given. I brushed my fingers through my damp hair as I came out to be fretted by a tired-looking Sinister.

"I don't usually give compliments but right now, you are the most pleasant-looking thing I've seen this week."

Laughing at that, I flushed while placing a hand on his forehead, "You're not drunk? Are you?"

"No, Becky. I'm not."

At that moment, Sinister cupped his hand at the back of my neck and gently pulled me towards him, "Tell me he didn't hurt you."

I was shocked at the sudden nearness he allowed, "W-what?"

"Vitaly, what did he do to you?"

"It doesn't matter." I frowned, "I'm okay now."

"Fucking tell me!" His voice almost growled.

"Well, he-"

I hesitated as I saw the murderous dark blue that stormed within his eyes.

"What did he do, Becky?"

"He- well he- hit me."

"Where?"

"I'm fine. Please don't worry about me. I'm not that important to you, am I?"

He seemed to be in a fixed position when I asked that. Was he unsure of himself? Was he confused? To be honest, I never saw that expression plague Sinister's face before. But like all his rare expressions, it was short-lived.

"Are we going home now?" I asked in deep hope.

"Soon, I promise." He replied with a sigh while removing his hand from me.

As we stepped out of the room, we were greeted by one of the previous employees who assisted us. He guided us back to the living area where Vitaly sat lazily on the sofa while the young girl was fixing her nails. I couldn't miss how harsh Vitaly's look had been towards Vitaly. Honestly, it was nice seeing the big bad wolf being protective of me for a change. The employees wasted no time in escorting us towards the dining areas which was an open-flow concept within the house.

"Please, be seated you two. I'm sure you're hungry." The middle-aged woman who I presumed owned this house smiled politely and took her seat at the table.

The female who looked around Sinister's neared us and touched him seductively on his shoulder before he took a seat.

"Ne trogai menya." Don't touch me.

Her face twisted into something appalling, and she proceeded to sit opposite him while I sat at his side.

"Please, do make yourself comfortable." The middle-aged woman suggested as she took a seat.

"it is unclear to me why you're doing this, Amala. My terms and conditions are met and expired. I don't see the need for all this child play now."

"Oh," Amala said with a little laugh, "Mr. Salvatore, I'm just being hospitable."

What was he talking about? What terms and conditions was he talking about?

At that sudden moment, my memory jogged back to Rebecca.

Oh, God.

I had to find out how she was.

I had to call her.

The young girl came and took her seat at the table with a frown towards Amala, "Mom, I'm hungry. Please ask them to have a little more speed. I'm tired of constantly waiting on those fools."

"Relax, Diana. Have a little patience."

"No, Diana is right mother." The elderly girl spoke up, "If Rosalie was here, they would have been flying."

"Enough! Veronica! No one will utter Rosalie's name in this house again. Not even your brother. Do I make myself clear?"

"But, she's your daughter as well!" The younger girl protested.

"Do not raise your voice at me child." Amala scolded her to silence.

That silence drifted awkwardly through the air for a few seconds until Sinister cleared his throat. It wasn't long until the food was served. No matter what, I couldn't eat. I gently placed my hand on Sinister's lap and moved it up to the pocket of his jeans where his phone was.

"Rebecca," I whispered to him worriedly.

At first, I thought he wasn't going to bother about it, but surprisingly, he took his phone out and gave it to me. Amala's attention suddenly locked on me and tried to smile politely. The thought of taking her child's life away from her made me feel so disgusted with myself. I felt as if my life was damned by an angry mother's curses. I hated myself more for what I did. I'm a horrible person. Yet, at the same time, I had to think about Rebecca as well.

"Please, excuse me" I graciously stated and walked away from the table.

As I tried to call her phone, I was unable to get through to it. Well, that was odd. Rebecca always answered. Always. The only place that I know she would ever go would be to Claire's, her old friend's house. With a hopeful sigh, I called again only to have a 'sleepy, confused, Claire who had no idea where Rebecca was' answer the phone. I tried to assure her everything was fine and thankfully succeeded.

Where the hell was Rebecca?

What if something happened to her?

No.

Please no.

Worry plagued me as I turned to the side to take notes of Vitaly's wicked smirk as he looked at me from the sofa in the living area.

At that moment, I had the most gut-wrenching hunch that he had something to do with it.

It was him.

I just knew it!

My blood heated within me and I felt like stabbing him in the eye. If he messes with my friend, I swear on Sinister's sacred bipolarity that I will kill the no-good frying pan sucker.

My feet angrily made their way towards the cunning piece of crap as he stood from the sofa.

"So, how was the—"

Before he could have completed that sentence, I slapped him hard across the face.
