Chapter 13 Black Haired Miss

Touring the campus with my brothers is such a treat, both of them oohing and ahhing at everything, touring around our home for the next four years.

But it'll be mostly mine during spring as at that time most people are going to go home to meet their families. I must stay here to not let my brothers get suspicious about my activities. Plus I have enough spying devices to watch my brothers while I stay here to get my spirits.

I can then go back the next year without arousing suspicion and stay with my brothers, two weeks is nothing on a normal world, much less a magical one.

Of course walking through the school, nothing else is important enough for my attention, my brother is next to me. What else can I do but stare at them?

After all If a fight breaks out. Well, death is their only option, willing to do so much yet not researching my "master's" tendencies.

Especially with my brothers here with me.

"Big Brother, let's go over their!" Awww, Xiao Wu is always so energetic. Us older brothers looks toward each other and nods our heads as we accompany our brother to where he wants to be.

Like most children he wanted to visit some of the advanced lecture halls, the other facilities are closed because no one is using them.

It's the only interesting place on campus.

The other places are where alliance members take tea or dorms. The lecture halls are something I understand well enough, after all it's platforms and hundred of seats are magnificent and acting like teacher is sometimes quiet fun.

It's just more interesting watching my Little Cub play without burden. It's so refreshing, scared he won't meet expectations he learns more daily. Well he's my brother so that won't happen. But the silver lining is, if he is disappointing no one alive would have said it.

Following my plan I come out of my seat I walked to my brothers playing on the stage with other children, "Come on, I'm tired let's go to our dorms." I faked it well, my level of lying is directly proportional to my level of making food.

Both of them at the lowest possible point, zero. But magic is a multiplier and what is zero multiplied by two-million? That's right, a whole two-hundred. A whole twenty times better than the most expressionless of people.

"Come on Big Brother we slept on the way here, even if we didn't sleep because of us being to excited, you should be ok!" Having a smart brother is nice, but what's better is having two easy to coax brothers rather than one wild tiger and one easy to coax brother.

Shaking my head I raise up my hands in defeat, "Alright, alright, but I want to go back to inscribe a few talismans and enchantments on them."

Both of them pouting takes each other's hands and stares into my eyes. Watching them looking into my eyes and it's adorable, I can't reject them...

I start shaking but I do slowly move out. I may not like the power they hold over me, but I will pay back all my gratitude in full but I really want some time to program. Even if they helped me stay alive I want a little bit of programming done for Little Tiger's second martial spirit.

Shaking my head at my unreasonable promise. Coming out of the large but cramped classroom I start viewing some more intricate statues filled with gems.

The most valuable of these is the pearls inserted into pillars and the many, many statues that fill most places, presumably of a emperor of The Empire.

These pearls capable of measuring spirit power this pearl is worth it's weight in diamonds.

Of course the smooth brick road covering every surface without marble or gold, moving through it I do recognized how expensive they were. And more importantly how much it costs to replace them.

But regardless of that I went to the dorm manager's desk to get my keys so I can set up that program.

Opening up the doors to the large building I come in to a old man, sitting around and cultivating. Around him are to halls leading to stairwell to each section of the dorm, one through fifty and fifty-one to one-hundred. I can't fault him for cultivating, no one is going to be here until very late.

Moving towards the desk I tap on it, once, twice, three times and he's up. Showing a surprised face he stopped cultivating, "This is unusual, normally children would only come after midnight."

I feel his stare as he moves his eyes toward me, "Child you won't have a chance to view the higher classes for a few years."

"Are you sure you want to waste your time getting paperwork done?" I eagerly nod my head at his question and explain, "Mister, I want to get it done so my sleep schedule is not interrupted." A casual lie but a little lying never hurt anyone.

Nodding quickly he hands me the forms to be filled out, name, martial spirit and room I want. The section is divided into two with one and two is crossed out, over it is the words royal family.

As distant relatives their our cousins, of course another branch has a Hell Civet spirit, even if they kill me, letting them have my brother is not an option. Not that they can this Empire is weak as shit.

I may understand why they want to do it strengthen The Empire and all that.

But Spirit Fusion is not a valid reason for marriage, I would rather make my brother... no I will make my brother a Hell Civet Spirit.

I can make the compatibility of the spirits one-hundred percent. Maybe a new type of spirit fusion coded in advance.

Yeah, that definitely stop the marriage.

Nodding my head I fill out the form, having not yet Dual-Spirits I didn't have to lie, "Senior can I have another two forms to fill out for my brothers?"

Thinking about, he still gently nodded and handed me two more. Finishing those up I go to my room and prepare to rest.

I've got week, I can give myself a treat and go sleep early, I had my talismans prepared early so I just need to paste some runes down.

It's pretty complex so I moved my bed near the corner and start inscribing it on top corners, then bottom corners. Finishing that I put it back in place and go to sleep, ready to welcome my brothers in at midnight.

Spending a few minutes inside my portable accelerated time domain. Quickly I made a simple automatic program to convert some mana in the spirit module to make spirit veins for The Martial Spirit.

Nothing magical but it is nice to have it seem to be more lively, I can make more advanced version later, so teleporting it in my manifestation's spirit core. I'm done with that.

Hopefully it'll be done in a month after all I did set a time dilation module in that room, I'll simply say "I'm in indoor cultivation." No one would believe it but what can they do? Nothing, that identity is too strong.

Smirking the youth closes his eyes and sends himself off to sleep, slowly drifting away as ghosts in the background moves to accommodate him.

But moving away from the youth, we come to his brothers as they stand on one of many teacher's platforms in The Lecture Halls of The Senior Class of The Star Luo Imperial Academy.

Standing and pretending to give speeches, taking turns with other students by their side, first listening then having them give a speech and have the others listen. It has been hours yet no one has been bored by this.

On it there is a few pairs, a few groups sat on the gilded seats observing them. The ones listening were the ones that already gave a speech, besides them sits one lone girl. Sitting alone looking bored.

But her eyes though appearing to look down at her area of the desk is staring at the youth's brothers, more specifically the one with long golden hair.

Waiting for hours until about the time the clock strikes midnight, she trailing behind them to where they are going, just barely out of sight but still the closet to them.

Moving through their campus slowly but surely they made their way to the dorm the youth was staying at.

Walking up close to the desk and waiting their is few groups people of their age, taking some rooms from both the left side of the dorm and the right side of the dorm.

Each of the groups finished in about fifteen minutes, after an hour it was their turn. Walking to the desk the old man sitting there waved them off, "Your brother came earlier and filled everything out for you."

Pointing towards his right he spoke more, "His room number is 3," He points at the blonde haired youth, "and yours is 4. Your younger brother's room number is 5."

Going and opening the right most drawer, shaking around looking for the keys to those room for a little bit, he handed them over to the brothers.

Nodding their heads they bow towards him, "Thank you Elder!" Then quickly they went off to their brother's room, knocking and going in after he opened the door for them.

The old man's eyes twitched but sighing quickly returned to the job at hand, "Alright miss here is the locations you can choose from." Taking a piece of paper out he handed it to the black haired miss.

Her face scrunches up but she brightens up soon after, "En, Elder can you let me switch with one of the pre-occupied rooms!"

Nodding his head he told her the answer, "Young Miss, you can switch so long as someone is willing to switch with you!"

Nodding her head she ran away.

The Black Haired Miss coming to the sixth room she knocked and spoke in quiet voice, "Fellow student, would you be willing to trade your room for mine?" Peeking out is young girl with bright green hair and very keen eyes.

Her complexion is pale but her face is well defined and sharp, rare for someone just six years old. Momentarily stunning her recipient temporarily.

Giving her the opportunity of opening her door fully as she stepped out, her height standing slightly below The Black Haired Miss, shaking her head she replied, "No, I'm sorry but my friends are here."

The Black Haired Missus' face scrunched up again as spoke, "Well can't your friends move?" With an annoyed countenance she moved back away from the door way, "Than why would we move for you!" Slamming the door shut with a fuming girl in front.

Banging on the door she continued to scream, "You would because of consequences, if you don't do this there will be consequences for you!"

The lock comes open as the green haired girl opened the door again, raising her eyebrows she spoke in surprised tone, "Oh, I didn't know you were duke's heir, you didn't seem like it."

"But alas, my family is only of marquis rank!" Closing the door again, the black haired miss heard the lock moving into place once more. Fuming she went to the third room as she knocked heavily on it.

Trying to stomp out her anger while also trying to get them to move the person that argued with her. Without another option she chose to hit the door repeatedly to relieve her anger, but slowly upon realizing it's after midnight, their most likely asleep like normal people.

She stopped her racket and chose to get her key and go to sleep.

I knew their was reason for me not trust her, that girl is loud and doesn't even know she woke me up, that racket could have woke up my brothers if not for my sound deafening runes set up.

That old man would be definitely spitting blood if he knew how I'm using his teachings. But does it matter? Of course not, I would have died again if not for my brothers.

But I should go to sleep, adjusting to a sleep schedule takes about three days without a spell, inciting violence through magic could cause harm to my brothers so I can't use anything too noticeable.

And I can't always rely on the excuse of, "Three Favors" that's a lot in a week, but is definitely not enough to be used for something as trivial as covering up sleep deprivation, preventing it or otherwise.

go to sleep.

I got a fever and took a few days off, I'll give the 3 chapters I promised this week, so instead of 3 this week. This week will have 6 chapters released.

Also it might drift further from canon as I don't really want to read through a hour of text a few times for the correct time and place.
