Chapter 28: Are you Guru?

Notice: Sorry for the interruption. But for this week there might be delays in Chapter but it'll get back on track."

"Psh, Guru come here," the chief motioned for Guru to come close as if about to say something important.

Rolling his eyes and moving towards the Chief, he stopped 10 metres of the Chief.

"I won't bite you. Come closer,"the Chie motioned.

5 metres.

"Closerrrr" The chief said with a mischievous look in his eyes. Upon seeing Vincent within an earshot, he whispered.

"What better way than to..."

...

"What better way to test my Stamina increase than to sleep with my mate,"the Chief spoke with a toothed grin on his face.

"..."

So much for secrecy and suspense building.

Vincent who heard the Chief's statement was short of words. When the Chief was acting all secretly he thought the information, he was about to share was confidential.

Though it was confidential...Well not this form of confidentiality.

Gathering his composure, a placid expression covered Vincent's face while he spoke to the Chief.

"If that is all, I will be taking my leave."

Not waiting for a response he stood and got ready to leave.

"Wait," the Chief spoke not allowing Vincent to leave and his next words was as if a bomb had been released in Chicago.

"Are you Guru because you're possessing his body or you're Guru because you're following his last wishes,"the Chief who was previously behind Vincent now stood before him. Leaning forward with his eyes penetrative awaiting his next response.

'What!!!'

Vincent who heard the Chief statement was stunned not knowing how his cover was blown.

'How did he know? Was my actions not in alignment with the previous owner? No, this isn't the question I should be asking. The question is should I kill him? If I can, the tribe might be alerted.' Vincent was having a mid life crisis not knowing what he should do.

The reason why Vincent was contemplating whether to kill him was because of two reasons.

One, without enough information on the world he was in. He did not know how receptive the inhabitants were to transmigrators. Who knows some mad scientist might experiment on him to find out how he can get a younger and stronger body.

The second reason was if he was to answer truthfully he would not know the reaction of the Chief. Maybe his next course of action would be to silence Vincent since their belief towards the dead might be varying.

The Chief who saw Vincent's forehead glistened with sweat while in deep thought knew the answer to his question.

He decided to break this silence by asking a question.

"Well Guru, I'm waiting for an answer. Are you Guru because you possess his body or you're Guru because you're following his wishes. Choose your next choice of words carefully."

Whew!!!!

Taking a deep breath Vincent look the Chief dead in the eye with a serious expression and his tone taking an expressionless manner, he spoke, "Listen geezer. To be honest, it be in your best interest not to touch upon this topic for your own good. The question in which you seek answers is beyond your existence. So please and please take it as if this conversation never took place."

After saying his piece, Vincent awaited the response of the Chief since his next choice of words would decide his actions.

With a playful smile on his face, the Chief looked at Guru and asked,"Really and what if I choose not to?"

"Wrong answer," Vincent said while trapping the right leg of the Chief with a metallic chain.

In quick successions two metal spears floated in the air quickly flying towards the arms of the chief aiming to incapacitate him.

Whoosh!!

Even after seeing Vincent's actions, the playful smile on the Chief face was still present. Quickly flexing the muscle of his leg the chief broke free from the constraints as if breaking a twig. Before leaping backwards and dodging the spears the impaled his former position.

All this happened within a few seconds. Vincent who saw the smooth series of actions of the chief was stunned since he considered his plan to be flawless. First he would distract the Chief through a conversation before subtly channelling mana into the metal manipulation skill. Then restrain the Chief before thinking of his next course of action.

Though a bit rash he considered crossing the bridge when he got there. But now he has a big fight in front of him that he had to put all his focus on it.

"Hm, being distracted while fighting an opponent. Should I take it that you're just that confident in your strength or too arrogant,"the Chief said while standing in front of Vincent who took his eyes off the Chief for a split second.

Before proceeding to punch him in the gut, his fist sank into the body with the bones that previously felt like obstructions cave in into multiple fragments.

"Never take your eyes off your opponents,"the Chief advised.

Though there was no blood to prove the degree of injury.

The Chief knew that the hit he landed dealt drastic damage to Guru's organs.

Kuahh!!!!

Vincent spat out saliva after feeling the air being taken out of him. His body flew out of the hut.

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

The sound of Vincent smashing through multiple trees resounded in the vicinity causing a commotion and drawing the attention of the nearby tribesmen.

"Do not worry, I am sparring with Guru. Go back to your activities."

With one command from the Chief the tribesmen who were curious and are still curious went back to their previous activities.

This what the tigerkin believed in…..strength and with this same strength came about order. That is why the Chief's commands are supreme.

[Feline Agility]

Activating his skill the Chief rushed towards Vincent's position just in time to see him coughing out sand from his mouth and his body in good condition as if never taking a punch.

Quickly deducing what happened a genuine smile was on the face of the Chief followed by praise, "impressive. What a versatile power. You used that metal creation skill to cushion my attack while taking the rest with your body. So what I thought was bones breaking was actually metal breaking into fragments."

After seeing his tactics being read like a book he could not deny the intelligence of the Chief, "Well you got me there," Vincent spoke with his arms raised as if he surrendered to the Chief's intelligence.

"Ready for round two?" stated the Chief after seeing that Guru did not deny his speculations.
