Chapter 29: Vincent vs Chief

[Feline Agility]

Activating his skill the Chief rushed towards Vincent's position just in time to see him coughing out sand from his mouth and in good condition as if never taking a punch.

Quickly deducing what happened a genuine smile was on the face of the Chief followed by praise, "impressive. What a versatile power. You used that metal creation skill to cushion my attack while taking the rest with your body. So what I thought was bones breaking was actually metal breaking into fragments."

After seeing his tactics being read like a book he could not deny the intelligence of the Chief, "Well you got me there," Vincent spoke with his arms raised as if he surrendered to the Chief's intelligence.

"Ready for round two?" stated the Chief after seeing that Guru did not deny his speculations.

Upon hearing his statement Vincent revealed a smirk,"round two it is. Let's see if your keen observation can keep up."

Speeding towards Vincent the Chief revealed a smirk of his own, "don't underestimate the instincts of a keen warrior." Saying that the Chief threw a jab which Vincent deftly avoided.

The tribesmen unable to hold their curiosity formed a circle 150 metres around the participants, eager to witness the spar between Vincent and the Chief.

Activating his skill the Chief turned into a blur dashing towards Vincent with tremendous speed. Vincent not having any speed related skill took a defensive stance awaiting the attack of the Chief.

The Chief seeing Vincent not making any approach concluded on two things.

"Should I take it you're very cautious or you lack a speed related skill,"the Chief spoke out loud.

Seeing Vincent keeping silent and not making any comments, he rushed towards Vincent making multiple strikes at various part of Vincent's body.

Vincent been a bit inexperienced substantiated it with his combat skill, trying to manoeuvre his way around the fight though he was being totally dominated.

The Chief lunged at Vincent with incredible speed, aiming for a swift and decisive strike. Vincent, through sheer luck, dodged, showcasing his own agility albeit clumsily.

Though the Chief was fast his skill had a cooldown with Vincent beginning his counter attack.

Throwing fists at each other the two Behemoth made a subtle decision to stop wasting time and get this over with it.

Wham!!!!

The sound of Chief landing a clean hook on Vincent's cheek sounded. Vincent not allowing the Chief go scott-free caught the arms of the chief and pulled him closer.

Oooooo!!!!!!!

Every successful attack was met with a resounding cheer from the onlookers.

Bang!!!!

Crunch!!!

The sound of Vincent delivering a devastating headbutt to the nose of the Chief sounded, along with the nose breaking, as the attack disoriented both of them leaving Vincent staggering backwards.

'No way. How is his head that head. It felt like I headed a post,' Vincent thought to himself.

Oooooo!!!

Another sound was made by the tribesmen seeing two monsters going toe-to-toe with each other.

Whilst the Chief shook his head trying to shake off his dizziness. However, the Chief quickly recovered showing his monstrous recovery ability shifting his dislocated nose to the right place. As blood dripped towards his lips. With renewed vigour he rushed at Vincent feigning a strike with Vincent falling for the feint, but unleashed a powerful kick to Vincent's stomach that sent Vincent stumbling as he was unable to recover his stance.

Not waiting for Vincent to gather himself together he leapt into the air before crashing into Vincent's previous position with an elbow drop. But luckily Vincent managed to dodge in time. The result of the Chief's attack riled up dust but these two were not hindered by it.

With a leap the chief dodged the metallic spear thrown at him but it was not all of it. With uncanny agility, he rolled and somersaults in time to dodge some attacks.

Not waiting for the Chief to find his rhythm, Vincent continued conjuring multiple metal shards while closing in for close combat.

Though it was difficult for Vincent to multitask, it is believed that growth occurs during strenuous activities. Feeling a mild headache he didn't pay heed to,rather he put his maximum focus on his opponent since his previous incident was fresh in his mind.

Throwing a fist at the Chief followed by a hook which was dodged with grace unbefitting of a tiger. Seeing no progress Vincent decided to resort to unorthodox methods. Sweeping his fit by trying to make him trip the Chief leapt into the air right where Vincent wanted him.

Gathering momentum he jumped and delivered a spear to the Chief mid air knocking the wind out of him. The spear was in the form of a tiger throwing himself with reckless abandon.

Upon catching the Chief off guard with this unorthodox move he leapt to his feet before the Chief could gather himself. Creating metallic cuffs through channelling mana into his skill. He restrained the chief before gathering a colossal amount of mana shaping it into a mishmashed cohesion of metals in the form of a boulder the size of a wrecking ball.

Through the gathering of mana his face was covered in sweat dripping down from his hair to his back seemingly making his feat that looked incredible as something strenuous. Not losing focus he proceeded to fuse it into the boulder making it larger and larger.

The chief seeing that Vincent was no longer holding back knew shit was about to go down. Deciding to stop playing around, he flexed all the muscles in his body easily breaking free from the constraints.

Looking at Guru still gathering mana for his big move, a manic grin spread on his face deciding not interrupt Guru, he simply watched him finish gathering mana.

Upon seeing the Meteor begin to descend Bagheera silently casted a dome around the two fighters.

"I prayed for times like these," the Chief said before activating two skills that was bound for impact.
