Unlucky?

In the library, Chen Mo's fingers danced across the keyboard, his face displaying a relaxed smile.

After five days of intense work and three failed attempts, he cheekily approached Shu Lao for guidance and clarification. Shu Lao patiently answered his questions, providing valuable explanations.

With Shu Lao's slight guidance, Chen Mo swiftly grasped the key points and successfully perfected the antivirus program.

After five days of the relentless "Eternal Heart" crisis, the "Eternal Heart" virus finally will be defeated today.

Unable to contain his excitement, Chen Mo quickly transferred the antivirus program onto a USB drive and inserted it into Xiaoyu's computer.

The enigmatic iron gate and the imposing lock remained, with a countdown of 40 hours still ticking. If left unlocked after 40 hours, all the information in the computer would be irreversibly destroyed.

As soon as the flashing light of the USB drive appeared, Chen Mo tapped on the keyboard a few times.

"Progress Complete: 1%...."

A message popped up on the screen, filling Chen Mo with joy.

Two minutes later, the progress reached 100%, and the computer screen lit up, restoring the familiar Windows desktop. Unbeknownst to everyone, in the library of Binhai University, Chen Mo had successfully eradicated the ransomware that had posed a global threat.

"A bit lag."

Chen Mo used the mouse to refresh the desktop.

However, realizing that Xiaoyu was not proficient with computers and had everything stored on the C drive, it was no wonder the computer was experiencing some lag. On the other hand, Xiaoyu's desktop appeared neatly organized.

"It's really slow. I should give Xiaoyu for advice and help her manage her computer."

Chen Mo pondered, clicking the mouse a few times on the desktop. Yet, the mouse cursor became stuck on a video, refusing to move at all.

"Ah... yamete..."

An abrupt scream echoed through the library's self-study area, and its source was none other than the computer in front of Chen Mo's eyes.

His eyes widened with horror as he glanced at the screen, almost spewing out a mouthful of blood.

The entire self-study area stared at him, their expressions a mix of shock and bewilderment. Some girls blushed, looking at Chen Mo with extreme embarrassment.

In a state of panic, Chen Mo hurriedly covered the computer screen, his face burning red.

"This guy is so eager to watch something spicy at the library."

The study area erupted with laughter, various strange gazes directed at Chen Mo. He felt like sinking into the ground and disappearing. This was a moment of utter shame, beyond anything he could have ever imagined. On Xiaoyu's computer desktop, there was actually such an explicit video.

"Damn, I can't believe what I just witnessed."

"Hahaha, this is hilarious..."

"I can't stay here."

Chen Mo swiftly packed his two computers into his backpack, stood up, and hastily left. As soon as he exited the library, he let out a sigh of relief.

Without saying a word, Chen Mo grabbed Xiao Yu's hand and hurriedly left.

"What's going on?" Xiao Yu asked, confused.

"Let's go and talk," replied Chen Mo.

He felt like laughing at himself. Killing a virus was one thing, but stumbling upon explicit content on Xiaoyu's computer was a whole other level of embarrassment. It was the most awkward situation he had ever encountered. They reached a pavilion by the lake, and Chen Mo finally stopped.

"I have successfully removed the virus."Chen Mo took out the computer and handed it to Xiao Yu with a smile.

Xiao Yu hesitated for a moment before opening the computer.

"Ah... ah..."

Screams and gasps emanated from the computer. Before seeing the image, Xiao Yu's face turned crimson. The blush crept from her ears to her neck, and she almost dropped the computer in her hand.

Hastily covering the screen, Xiao Yu avoided Chen Mo's gaze, unable to look him in the eye.

But the awkwardness wasn't over yet.

"That movie…. from that night….. if you watch..."

After some hesitation, Xiao Yu explained the whole situation about the movie. She knew that Chen Mo had already discovered it, and she felt the need to clarify. Otherwise, she'd be too embarrassed to face him.

"Even if you didn't watch it, but you have suffered." Chen Mo's face showed surprise upon hearing Xiao Yu's explanation.

"You watched it? Are you okay?" Xiao Yu asked with a red face.

It was the first time she had discussed such an explicit topic with the opposite sex, even though the person in front of her was her boyfriend.

"I was in the library study area, and the computer froze. I accidentally opened it. The sound was loud, and everyone in the study area heard it. And they couldn't stop laughing," Chen Mo explained.

"Hahaha..." Xiao Yu couldn't help but smile, forgetting about maintaining her image. The absurdity of the situation filled her mind, and it seemed funny now.

"And here you are, laughing! I've been through so much, how will you compensate me?" Chen Mo said, pretending to be upset.

Xiao Yu suppressed her laugh, blushing, and looked at Chen Mo. She bit her lip, then leaned in and quickly kissed his cheek before pulling back.

Chen Mo's mood instantly brightened. All his frustrations and embarrassment vanished in an instant.

"Come on, one more time," Chen Mo said with a chuckle, pointing to his cheek.

"Don't push it," Xiao Yu blushed and playfully slapped Chen Mo shoulders. This was the first time she had taken the initiative to kiss someone of the opposite sex.

"That thing that happened in the library just now... I didn't shut down the computer; it was just closed when the movie was still playing, and the sound isn't muted either," Xiao Yu explained.

Chen Mo tapped Xiao Yu's computer with a mischievous grin. "If you want to watch it, just open the lid, but remember to wear headphones, or we might get caught again."

Xiao Yu's face instantly turned red, and she threw the computer back to Chen Mo. "Help me delete it."

"I can delete it, but we can always watch it again," Chen Mo teased with a smile.

"Just delete it and stop talking about it," Xiao Yu said, blushing.

Chen Mo took the computer, opened the computer screen, and closed the video playing with sexy moan. Thankfully, there was no one around, or it would have been quite embarrassing.

Xiao Yu's face returned to normal after a while, and she felt relieved when she saw that all her documents were intact.

"I am worried you'd get bullied in your dormitory," Chen Mo said as he closed the video and deleted it, before returning the computer to Xiao Yu.

"Thank you," Xiao Yu said, taking the computer back and feeling relieved to see that all her files were intact.

"Let's focus on one more computer first." Chen Mo said with a wink.

After successfully removing the virus from Zhou Wei's computer and helping Xiao Yu organize her files, Chen Mo escorted her back to the dormitory.

Upon returning to his rented house, Chen Mo settled in and headed to the technology library.

Shu Lao had mentioned earlier that once the anti-virus program was completed, Chen Mo could enter the library and randomly choose a technology. Now that the program was finished, he was ready to proceed.

He entered the library and opened the book with dark red cover, and Shu Lao appeared once again.

"Is it finished?" Shu Lao asked.

"Yes!" Chen Mo replied with excitement.

"Great, even faster than I anticipated. Now, do you want to randomly choose a technology?" Shu Lao inquired.

"Yes," Chen Mo nodded. This was the reason he had come to the library in the first place.

"Let's begin."

Shu Lao waved his hand, and in the sky above the library, a circle of light curtains descended, enveloping the central area. On the light curtain, countless books were arranged like tiles, and they began to rotate.

As the books rotated wildly, Chen Mo felt his heart pounding as he stared at them. When they finally came to a stop, only one book was left floating in midair, slowly falling into the hands of Shu Lao.

Upon seeing the book in Shu Lao's hands, Chen Mo's face turned red, and he felt like he was about to burst with frustration. Out of all the technologies, he ended up with this one. Random selection turned out to be such a letdown.

"I've already had a joke in the library today, and now this happens again. Could it get any worse?" Chen Mo thought to himself, feeling rather unfortunate.

Shu Lao could see the thoughts crossing Chen Mo's mind.

"Congratulations, hahaha," Shu Lao chuckled.

Hearing Shu Lao's laughter, Chen Mo felt like a frost-bitten eggplant, utterly defeated. Out of the countless technologies available, why did he have to end up with this one? Even if he had chosen a different technology that he couldn't immediately utilize, it would still be better than this.

Chen Mo squinted and felt tears welling up in his eyes. "Shu Lao, can I choose another one?"

"No." Shu Lao shook his head. "No can do."

"Why not?" Chen Mo protested, feeling frustrated that he might have wasted his chance. He could have sold the technology or exchanged it for something valuable if it were more practical.

After handing over the technology to Chen Mo, Shu Lao reiterated, "Remember what I told you last time? Design an anti-virus program and then come to me. You'll encounter unexpected gains."

"I remember," Chen Mo replied, getting up. "Are there any other unexpected technologies?"
