Chapter 3 Changes? and ~ a bit of time skip ~

Eric appears in a pitch-black void of space. As he looks around all he can see is endless darkness. All he can feel right now is endless loneliness. Like a part of his soul was missing, it felt like this missing piece of his own soul was crushing his own very existence. A small speck of light off in the far far distance is slowly getting closer. Nine months later a voice rings out through the darkness.

"If you are hearing this the transition finished. Congratulation you have been born again. For the next 18 years of life, you will have to relive your life. Your original punishment was to arrive at your ten-year-old body, but that is no longer an option, the soul-bonding between you two took an unexpected turn. Because of this you are not completely locked in your mind, you can move your body and do things of your own free will, however, history is set, and your punishment must be carried out. As such key points in time are set, and you will be forced into your own mind and your body and actions will be set on autopilot to complete the set prerequisites to fulfill history, or you can choose to stay in your mind until 18 years passes. We don't want you to lose your mind, in solitude so there are a few things you can do in your own mind, that normal people can not. Before you, and around you is your mindscape, you can alter it as you wish. A tip for you from one of us is that if you etch something into your mind it will stay there until you remove it. Oh, and a few things will change in the future good luck." Different entity

"But what about my soul mate?" Eric

The bright light that was off in the distance finally reaches Eric at an unimaginable speed. As it slams into Eric's chest, it sends him flying and tumbling down to the ground. Eric is surprised to find that he is not hurt, as he tries to sit up, a wet sensation hits his face.

"Hahaha" Eric

On Eric's chest is a puppy licking his face. Causing him to laugh in happiness, from the feeling of finally being complete. After a while of playing with the little pup, and calming his raging emotions, he finally starts to truly look around.

"Hmm so how do I move about in here?" Eric

He tries to walk, does not appear to do anything it's almost like he's waightless.

'Forward body!'

Nothing.

*Superman flying pose*

Still nothing.

"Arf, Arf."

The puppy gets down and starts to move on its own, trying to show Eric how it's done.

After trying out a few different methods. It appears that he can move in any way he imagines, however because of being in a void, the visual representation and physical feal of moving is not conveyed. After hours of trial and error, he gets the hang of it. Sometime later, another flash of light appears and a dog bed appears under the puppy who then proceeds to do the circle thingy before laying down and falls asleep.

"... this is my mind, how is it a newborn entity more adept at using it than I am." Eric

*Sigh*

After many hours of trial and error, the void is no longer a blank soul-crushing space, but a space that contains countless stars. Some galaxies, even phenomenons, like the milky way. It's an unexpectedly astonishing sight.

"I may not be smart, but it appears that whatever I create within my mind space, I am able to grasp the understanding too. Like I now know so much about rocks its ******, color, hardness, luster, crystal forms, density, and cleavage. Like why is it called cleavage when it's just the layers of dirt that solidified to create the rock? Why not call it something more informative, like sediment buildup. Which is a whole other process... AGHH! My head hurts."

(Note. Basically, a sun/star is a ball of gasses and molten rocks, as we don't have anything that is strong enough to gather materials from a sun/star, it is impossible to actually know what it's made of. And from Eric's memories, a sun/star is mainly made of 91.0% hydrogen and 8.9% helium. This means he does not have a full grasp of the sun, so knowledge like nuclear fusion is out of his reach currently.)

Flashes of light appear within the space, and a window opens up in an area close to Eric and the pup.

"Ahh, so this is when I wake up in the hospital." Eric

-In the real world-

"WHA!!!" Eric

'AHH OXIGEN HURTS AUTO PILOT AUTO PILOT!' Eric

-Back in his mind-

"Why am I a newborn baby. I thought I was gonna be ten... At least I can get my body in good shape while using this extra time, to read books I guess." Eric

About Thirteen years later. Eric's mind is a lot more different. from a starry sky made of just rocks and balls of glowing gas. Eric is now on a planet, that has a flourishing forest, filled with a variety of plants, and a few animals, also this planet has a relatively small location filled with massive structures. It appears to be a town. Within this town are a variety of different shaped and sized buildings. There are fourteen large buildings, circling a single larger building in the middle, with grand signs at the front.

1. Architecture and engineering: Architect, Civil engineer, Landscape architect, Sustainable designer, Biomedical engineer.

2. Arts, culture, and entertainment: Singer/songwriter, Music producer, Art curator, Animator/video game designer, Filmmaker, Graphic designer, Fashion designer, Photographer.

3. Business, management, and administration: Human resources manager, Marketing assistant, Accountants, Secretary, Entrepreneur/small business owner, Real estate agent, Business development manager.

4. Communications: Journalist, Copywriter, Communications Manager, Public relations specialist, Meeting/event planner, Social media manager, Brand manager.

5. Community and social services: School counselor, Speech pathologist, Rehabilitation counselor, Licensed clinical social worker, Child, welfare social worker, Palliative and hospice care worker.

6. Education: Special education teacher, School principal, Superintendent, College professor, School librarian, Substitute teacher.

7. Science and technology: Archeologist, Software engineer, Laboratory technician, Microbiologist, Physicist.

8. Installation, repair, and maintenance: Auto mechanic, Landscaper, and groundskeeper, Bicycle repairer, Wind turbine technician, Plumber.

9. Farming, fishing, and forestry: Agricultural worker, Animal breeder, Nursery worker, Forest and conservation worker, Fisher.

10. Government: School cafeteria worker, Congressional staff, National park ranger, Mail carrier, Elementary school teacher.

11. Health and medicine: Anesthesiologist, Dental assistant, Nurse, Veterinarian, Physical therapist.

12. Law and public policy: Lobbyist, Public administrator, Paralegal, Lawyer, Labor relations specialist.

13. Sales: Sales associate, sales development rep, Account executive, Regional sales manager, VP of sales.

14. Math: All types of math from basic to advanced rocket science theoretical theories.

As for that building in the middle, well it's called Life, and at the top of this building stands a man, with a small dog resting on his head.

"I think it's time to create life... What do you think?" Eric

*Yawn* "Let me sleep a bit more." the small dog.

~ a bit of time skip ~

Three more years go by and the world has changed again, now it contains, a vast ocean, rivers lakes, mountains, deserts, snow-filled areas. The city has expanded to encompass more buildings, and the building of life has changed to a tower of life split in two. Theirs a sun, and moon, and a concept of time, building, in the middle of the two towers of life, connecting them. Oh and one more thing, there are people and animals some walking, some flying, some even swimming. Eric's mind is no longer just his, but a merged form with his soul mate, that mutated some time ago.

"I don't understand this. This never happened in my last life. How is this happening now?"

Eric is sitting inside a building labeled as, Eyes. And before his very eyes, are people with superpowers, and magic.

"This can't be happening, no No NO NO! NO!!!!, ALL THAT I HAVE LEARNED TILL NOW MEANS NOTHING!" Eric

The world around him starts to shake, and crumble.

A pair of slender arms, wrap around Eric's neck.

"Everythings going to be ok, we already knew something like this might happen. All we have to do now is build a building for magic, and start a new study season." Soul Mate

*Heavy frustrated breathing*

"****!" Eric

The world slowly stops its shaking. The animals and oddly shaped creatures calm down and resume their normal behavior.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to yell, it's just those dam gods trapped us in here, and put a seal on us making it so that core event in this life will happen, and with the introduction of magic before we are even released, is cheating us." Eric

"It's ok I know. Remember it's only two more years, then we are free." Soul Mate

"Your right Eve, but now we have to create a building for magic, and we need to have a separate section for magic for all sections of knowledge." Eric

"Well look on the bright side, that will be two more years of work right there. Oh and don't forget we can use our own magic in here to help along the learning curve." Eve

"Your right. Your too good for me Eve." Eric

Eric cries a bit and wipes his tears away before patting Eve's arms.

*Sigh*

"Let's get to work then... I was hoping I was already done, but I guess not..." Eric

"It's finally time to leave this place, are you ready?" Eric

"Yes." Eve
