Chapter 4. Cheetah go Chirp!

Authors note: A bit of backstory before the new chapter. With what little control over his own body he had he used it to go to the library and read, while also acquiring books to take home and study. If you have not figured it out yet Eric's and Eve's minds are combined, and linked, when one learns, the other learns as well. I have a few things planned for this, but without spoiling things, we shall get right into the new chapter.

The year is 2011 in the back of some drivers ed class, a young man starts to wake, and oddly enough a small all-white snake slithers out of his backpack and wraps itself around the young man's neck.

"AHHH" girly scream

"???" the young man looks around, before standing up and slowly walks to the window.

"Eric what are you doing... Is that a snake! Get out of my class now!" Teach

"I don't think you want me to do that teacher, you also might want to come and look at this." Eric looks back at the window and points.

"Look at what?" teacher

"I think that's a miss... EVERYONE GET DOWN" Eric then proceeds to dive to the ground.

"??????????" class/teacher.

*BOOOM!!!*

*Sounds of dust, debris, and stealing rubble.*

Off in the distance, you can also hear muted explosions.

*Cough* *Cough* *Cough* *Grunts*

Eric then proceeds to clear off the debris that fell on top of him.

*Grones from his other classmates*

"Eve do you know what's going on, this almost seems like a fallout, did that deity change the timeline, or send me into a different reality. He already introduced magic, now that, what's next?" Eric

Eric starts to stand up dusting himself off. As he starts to look around, the room seems to be intact, the only visible damage seems to be broken windows, and roofing tile squares. (The foam stuff with holes in it I don't know what they're called.)

"Attention all earthlings, Today marks the day, that this planet was created, we believed that we could create an intellectual species, of higher thought life forms, and have gradually let our ancestor's knowledge enlighten a few individuals amongst your species to help the growth of you all. We have even descended amongst you all and tried to lead your species to a brighter future, however it was always met with heavy resistance, or taken as a hostile declaration against people who don't believe our ways. To name a few, who have died in the name of peace are, Abraham Lincoln, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and our most current agent who has now returned home Stephen Hawking. Your species has decided to spite our kindness, over and over again. You have even launched a nuclear armageddon across your world. As our final act of kindness, we have stopped the radiation from spreading out, however, we can only stop it for a short amount of time. We have also violated your worlds laws and forcibly evolved your planet into the next stage of evolution. In the next 48 earthly hours, we recommend all of you evacuate out of the cities, or you will be evaporated from the radiation. Those that are at ground 0 of each city in a 5-mile radius are dead. After 48 hours the radiation will proceed to expand from ground 0 to 15 milled diameter around the cities borders. Your world who has been forcibly evolved will sense this as a threat against itself and will take measures to protect itself. I believe your people would call this a mutating apocalypse. As I said before your people have forsaken our kindness, so we will forsake you. Good luck out there, and if your species becomes strong enough to overcome this, we might talk to you as equals, but for now you all are nothing more than a mangy dog who has bitten the hand that feeds." As the voice from the skies speaks, that's not speaking any known language, but somehow everyone understands it.

"******* A!" Eric rushes to the door.

"Eric calm down were not going to die" teacher

"**** it's jammed. Yo help me get this door open or we're all dead!" Eric

"I SAID CALM DOWN" teacher

"Move Ill ram it" James

*Thud* *thud*

"Guahh my shoulder" James

The teacher moves forward to stop James and Eric

"I Said stop listen to me or your both, going to the dean's office."

"Who the **** are you, did not HEAR THE VOICE FROM THE SKY! OR DID YOUALL JUST FALL TO THE GROUND BECAUSE OF AN EARTHQUAKE, NO YOU ALL GOT KNOCKED DOWN BY A MISSLE HITTING OUR CITIES. NOT TO MENTION THE VOICE SAID SOMETHING IN A LANGUAGE I DON'T EVEN KNOW AND YET YOU WANT ME TO LISTEN TO YOU, NO ILL LISTEN TO THE VOICE THAT SAID RUN!" Eric yells furiously at the teacher.

"James on the count of three kick it with all your force. Evin go hold the handle down." Eric

"Got it" Evin

"1... 2... 3..." Eric

Eric and James launch out their legs kicking the door.

*BANG*

*Creak*

"Good it's moving, Evin get back so we don't hit you." Eric

"With all your might this time 1... 2... 3..." Eric

Eric and James launch out their legs kicking the door even harder this time.

*Crack, SNAP! BANG*

"James if you want you can come with me, however for the rest of you, you're all just dead wight." Eric

"Sorry, Eric I have to get my little sister." James

"That's fine James, I hope I see you in the future. As for the rest of you. You all only have 48 hours, and that thing said it's a mutating Apokolips, get your family, and if you have a dog or cat, abandon it, or it will mutate and eat you, that is my one and only advice." Eric

"Ha, then that means you gata abandon that snake!" Caroline

"HAHAAHAHAA you think this is a pet, LISTEN UP ALL OF YOU! I WILL ONLY SAY THIS ONCE, GODS ARE REAL, THEY HAVE BLESSED US WITH MAGIC SOME TIME AGO, AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, SURVIVE WELL!" Eric

*Sounds of bones breaking and snapping*

The snake begins to change shape, while Eric's clothes start to not fit.

"Chirp" Eric and Eve in a Cheetah form.

'Hahaha Cheetahs chirp, I wanted that scare factor now I look cute. Let's get out of here before I get any more embarrassed.' Eric sprints out of the room.

'But you are cute, come back I wanna nuzzle you!' Eve bolts after.

"Did he just turn into a cheetah?" Sally

"He just turned into a cheetah." Teacher

"I should have taken those new magical classes seriously." James

'So where are we heading to?' Eve

'That dam entity sent us into the worst-case scenario possible. If my memory is correct to our north should be a shooting range.' Eric

'With how the world is now, people will react in two ways, #1 panic, #2 call their family to see if they were at ground 0 or not. Within that short amount of time, we need to acquire a vehicle. That's the time when we get close, we will change to birds and scout the area.' Eric

'ok' Eve

'So why did you want to come here?' Eve

'This place is also an RV park, I'm guessing the world won't go into the next phase until the radiation is released, and as such changes will happen. Most likely guns won't work. however, if we grab a nice RV and leave now, we can avoid a lot of future problems.' Eric

'Why an RV then?' Eve

'I don't want you to sleep on the ground, and with our combined engineering knowledge, we can modify the RV enough to create a really nice place to use for the next year or so unless we can find an alternate fuel source.' Eric

'Aww' Eve

'I'll take the left side, you take the right side, chirp if you find one that suits our needs.' Eric

"Chirp" Eve *Flaps, Flap, Flap

After a bit of searching, and not finding anything, Eve flys back to Eric.

"Chirp!" Eric

'You found something?' Eve

'No, did you?' Eric

'No.' Eve

*The bird's equivalent to a sigh.*

'Let's take that truck then, and go as far as it will take us...' Eric

'Ok' Eve

*Truck start*

*Truck launch off, and tires squealing.*

"MY TRUCK!!!" random victim.

'I'm thinking we head to Idaho for the farmlands. What about you?' Eric

'That's fine with me, but what about your family?' Eve

'I had to relieve through the portion of my life, where I thought it was normal to not have emotions, and punished in many different ways for no reason. Why should I go save them? Heck, the closest family member I have, would be Caley, and I don't even know where she is. Nor do I have any way to contact her... If fate lets us meet in the future, then it's meant to be, if not I will mourn her death and move on with my life. As for the rest of them, they have been dead to me since before I came back, and their repeated failures, and punishments, were unfair for a child, they deserve what they get.' Eric

'Yea but what if the entities interfere?' Ever

'Why would that matter to me? All that matters to me is you, and our future. Don't try to save horrible people, because they will always bring you down, and if you die because of them, I will probably destroy this world, just to find some sort of answer to bring my soulmate back to me. I am not worried for my family, because their not my family, they are jailers, and I am finally free. Now! what shall we do first? Build a base, to survive this new world, or build a family?' Eric

*Heavy blush*

"Nope all creatures on this planet are forbidden to give birth until I finish my evolution, and if you try I will punish you personally." ???

"WHOS THERE!" Eric

"Haha don't worry I am not an enemy I am..."
