Part 4 : The Delivery

"oh...hi" I said quietly. My mood was just slowly turning gloomy.

"You finished the research?" She asked. I just nodded.

"That's good. Oh Hey Kendall..."

Her words were starting to sound like gibberish and Briana just gave me an apologetic look and gave me a thumbs up. That's when Ruby started talking to her and I just pitied her pulling a plastic face just to talk to Ruby.

After a while, Ruby eventually went away and everybody just sighed. The atmosphere was not as tense anymore.

Axon let out a grumble. "I can't understand why she was here. She just shows up maybe to check on how we're doing. She thought she'd expect us to be empty-handed."

Kendall nodded. "Yeah...but we just have to let her be."

There was a phone buzzing in the room.

"That's mine" Kendall said as she went to get her phone.

Pablo handed the fried food to Briana in the packaging station and Muriel was getting ready to deliver the food.

Briana started packing the food and Kendall answer the phone.

"Hello?" We all just stayed quiet so that Kendall could hear the caller.

"Maam Amy?"

We all looked up with a smile. It's been a while since we've heard about ma'am Amy. She's the only teacher that was close to us like a parent.

"I'm doing fine. What about you?" Kendall went to the table that most of us were in. Axon, Pablo and Muriel went to table too and Kendall turned on the speaker.

"I'm also doing good. What are you doing right now?"

"We're doing a group project, currently doing a cooking business. How about you?" Kendall said.

"Oh that's great. Who's there with you?"

"It's me, Pablo, Muriel, Axon, Briana, Caroline, and Barry." Kendall responded.

"Okay. I got news for all of you." ma'am Amy said.

"What is it ma'am?" Barry asked.

"Jenna is in labor. I'm at the hospital right now."

After that, we could hear yelling from the background and assumed it was her.

"Is that her?" Pablo asked.

"Yeah gotta go." ma'am Amy said in a hurry and hung up the phone.

All of us in the room were stunned. Jenna is just the same age as us, 17. She never did well in school. Even if it was me, I couldn't help her because of how stubborn she is and she pities herself big time. She almost trafficked a child to another town which was terrifying to hear for some parents.

She was never kind to me or to anybody. She flirts with the guys and loves it when guys make fun of her because she would think that they liked her.

One time, I had a crush on a senior and she started talking to him. I saw them talk and the guy I liked was evidently awkward while talking to her and she was persistent in talking to him.

One day, I was at the gate and the guy I liked passed by me, I was just acting normal. Then Jenna talked to him. After that, she wouldn't stop pestering me about it and kept shoving it in my face.

"Okay. Five orders ready to deliver." Briana said.

"Let's go, Muriel." Pablo said. "Caroline, you're coming with us. We need to deliver them quick."

"Aight" I put on my cap and headed out with Pablo and Muriel while the rest of our group cooks the rest of today's orders. Muriel was riding with Pablo while I was on my beloved scooter.

One by one, we delivered the food to very far places but still in the town. Some were just at the central but some were at the edge of the town which was far as hek.

After the delivery and receiving the payment, we went back to Kendall's house.

When we arrived, everyone was done with the cooking and Briana was already packing.

"You guys are quick." Pablo joked.

Briana whipped her head to Pablo. "Oh we got news." Briana still looked like she was a little in shock.

Kendall looked at the three of us. "The baby just got delivered."

Muriel nodded. "Who's the father by the way?"

Kendall raised her shoulders. "Only Jenna knows or that he'll show up to take the baby."

"Why would he take the baby? Shouldn't they help each other?" I asked.

Briana reminded Kendall. "Kendall, they just arrived."

Kendall then remembered something and then looked at us three with an expression. "Oh! Jenna died after childbirth."

"Bgeez, Kendall. You could've sugarcoated it. Like...you know...she PASSED AWAY."

Well, that's the end of Jenna's story.

I looked at the sky and whispered. "Still a villain, leaving an innocent baby." I shook my head.
