Please, don't leave me." She felt helpless. "Was I just a doll that you carry around? Was I a toy that you groomed and played with?" She gritted her teeth. "Was I just your little doll?" Part 29: Celebration

Caroline's POV

After the picnic, we returned to my house to drop off the basket and food and went to watch a movie, The nun.

"I can't be scared of this movie." I bragged to Harvey as I leaned on his shoulder. He chuckled.

"Is that so? Why?" He asked curiously.

"Many strict nuns in my life have trained me." I laughed a little.

Harvey laughed along. "I forgot you went to that school. Well...I want to forget." He said.

"Hmm?" I asked him as the movie begins with the two nuns walking down what looked like a cathedral basement.

Harvey patted my head and smiled. "It was no the best time of your life. I used to look from afar just to monitor you."

"What? How? I didn't know that." I asked in curiosity.

"Well...I was working four assassinations, spending a year in this town. I, Kole, and Fran needed to kill a teacher in your school, two political corrupt powers, and a janitor who disguises himself as one just to kidnap students for ransom."

We ended up watching the whole movie. We tidied up the room and went to my bedroom, chilling on the bed.

"Caroline...do you remember that girl Cindy?" Harvey asked me.

"Yeah. I remember her." She was one of the people who would just look at me as being bullied by my own classmates and ignore that I was asking for help. I have no resentment towards her but I always think that she could've done at least something.

"She asked me to go out with her this Saturday." Harvey paused. "Do you want me to go?" He asked.

I sat up and looked at Harvey with a pout. "I don't want to answer that. You can do whatever you want and I don't want to be selfish." I admit that I don't want Harvey going out with other girls who I know have an interest in him. It's worse that he'd be going out with a girl who'll potentially run away and save herself if Harvey would be in danger.

Harvey tilted his head and smiled. "I'll take that as a no."

My mouth fell open. "I didn't say that!" I said quickly. "You can go out if you want to...I won't stop you." I said, avoiding looking at him.

Harvey ruffled my hair and kissed my forehead. "Yeah right. Don't worry. No one's gonna take me away from you." he said, making me think for a moment. "Come on, let me brush your hair."

I got up and took the brush from my drawer, handing it to Harvey.

He took off my hair tie and started brushing my hair.

He hummed a song that he always sings whenever he's feeling peaceful.

"Where the moonlight touches the water, it is where I first met you...

Where the moonlight pulls us closer, it is when I first kissed you..." he started to sing and I felt the same peacefulness he's emitting.

I sang with him. "In the moonlight, we danced. In the moonlight, we hold hands....

In the moonlight...in the moonlight..."

"...We had love..." He finished.

Harvey then stopped brushing my hair.

"Harvey?"

I apologize for not updating for almost a month. Another story was occupying my mind and I might make a story about that. Please enjoy reading. Much love!
