I followed what you said and learned everything that I know." She sobbed. "You know me...but I do not know you." The man held her even tighter. "I am still the one who loves you with all my life. Please, don't leave me." She felt helpless. "Was I just a doll that you carry around? Was I a toy that you groomed and played with?" She gritted her teeth. "Was I just your little doll?" Part 22: Tease

I hummed a little song as I tuck her in bed. She fell asleep after a long story about how I got the scar on my back.

I slowly placed the blanket over her and kissed her on her forehead. I slightly rub her cheek and whispered goodnight. I turned off the lamp on her desk and closed the door to her bedroom as I exited. I locked the doors of her house and once I was outside, I'd check if they're all locked. I locked the gate as I exited as well and look around for wanderers at night like I always do before leaving the place.

I know Caro with all my heart and I'm happy that she's safe.

I look back at the house one more time before I started walking back to the convent.

I could hear faint footsteps in the distance and I stopped.

I let the familiar footsteps come closer before I spoke. "Shouldn't you be home by now?" I turned around so that I can face him. "Kosair."

He slowly came up to me and held his head high. "Isn't it inappropriate for a seminarian to be visiting a girl who's home alone this late at night?"

I sigh. "She needed me, Kosair."

"No. She doesn't." He argued.

I crossed my arms. "Now why would you care? I should be by her side so that she can sleep peacefully, Kosair."

"I..." He clenched his jaw. "That's not right for you to do." He complained like a teen in puberty.

I smirk. This brat has feelings after all. For Caro? I'm not sure. Why don't I tease him?

"I've been doing this for years, Kosair. I brush her hair and tuck her in bed. Heck, I sing her lullabies and hold her like a baby so that she can sleep and many MANY other things to make her comfortable." I said. emphasizing every word and it shot him like daggers shotting to that cold heart of his.

Kosair started to look mad. "You're slowly making her a victim of your tricks, Harvey. Tell me, how much is your body count." He tested.

I laughed a little. Is this guy serious? "Listen, I'm not a player but if Caroline was many a person, I think I would be." I said as I licked my lips by accident. Whoops, that was a habit because my lips are a little dry but it did sure put a snarl on his face.

Honestly, I have a body count of zero. Well, if he'd ask for how many people I'd kill it'll be a lot.

He suddenly charged at me and I chuckled. What the heck is this guy's deal? "Oh shit. You have feelings for my Caro, huh, Kosair?"

I dodged a punch that was gonna hit my jaw. "Your Caro?!" He growled. "Stay away from her!" He attempted to kick my leg but I jumped back and avoided another blow that was gonna hit my face. Ah, my precious face can't be injured.

"What's the meaning of this?"

The both of us froze as we heard his voice. It was clear that he was confused and frustrated. It meant that he'll go off on both me and Kosair if we say something distasteful.

Kosair clenched his fists so tight that his knuckles turned white but hid them behind his back so that his father won't see them. He looked at him with a fake calmed face. "Father."

I stood up from the ground and bowed a little. "Good evening" I started.

"Sir Krum Siren."
