"Harvey would not lie to me this much." every word was filled with hurt. The man held her in a tight hug that prevented her to escape from his arms. "I have relied on you for so long. I followed what you said and learned everything that I know." She sobbed. "You know me...but I do not know you." The man held her even tighter. "I am still the one who loves you with all my life. Please, don't leave me." She felt helpless. "Was I just a doll that you carry around? Was I a toy that you groomed and played with?" She gritted her teeth. "Was I just your little doll?" She whispered in disbelief to her own realization. "A little doll that you toyed with." The man shook his head as he hugged her even tighter. Part 21: Company

I plop in bed and grumbled in exhaustion while Brother Harvey closes the door to my room. I looked at him who is currently checking the windows and every nook and cranny of the room like usual.

"Give it up, Brother Harvey. No one would put up hidden cameras in my room." I laughed as he looks serious in checking all my stuff and opening all the drawers.

"You can never be too sure." He said as he went inside the bathroom. "I heard there's a new cult going around and you should not be walking around alone." he then exited the bathroom.

"I don't really go out much anyway. The house is kinda closed off too. If I feel like someone's inside, I'll just use the emergency exit or scream for the neighbors to hear." I said as I start to brush my hair.

Brother Harvey comes up to me, sat on the bed beside me, and took the brush from my hand to finish brushing my hair. He's like the older brother that I've never had. In fact, he's the only guy I can trust since he always protects me in all the tight spots and danger that I've been in. I hope he'll always be here with me.

"You can't be too confident with that, Caro. You can't underestimate the people who can kill in a heartbeat without a second thought." He said as he kept brushing my hair.

I tired my head to the side. "I know where to hide though. The police station is near my house, remember?" I said in a duh tone.

He sighs. "I remember...but you know that I'm always one call away, Caro."

I nodded. "I know."

"Now, do you wanna hear the story?" He said and I swear my ears perked up. Brother Harvey is such a good storyteller and his stories are awesome but even if he'd read me a children's book, I'd still be hooked up because of how he tells the story.

He cleared his throat, signaling that he'll start like every other storytime.

"It was ten years ago. I was found abandoned in a sinking ship in the middle of the Pacific ocean. I was drifting in the middle of the ocean but after two days, a luxury cruise ship spotted me. The Siren family gladly took me in and let me live under the roof of the family casino where all the staff was also saved by the Krum Siren. He sheltered all the ex-hitmen, ex-gang members, and assassins to work for honest money. Debtors are unavoidable but we don't really kill them all. The good people were given jobs by Sir Krum to work under him in different companies and facilities in order to pay the debt or let them continue to work, making them stay. Their families are supported and well taken care of by the Sirens family."

I was taken back. Brother Harvey never really told me much about his old job but it changed how I view his boss and his family...which Kosair is a part of and he's the son of Krum Siren.

I pressed my lips in curiosity. "What about the bad debtors?"

Brother Harvey sighed. "That's where I come and do my job as a hitman slash assassin. There are only two groups of hitmen and assassins in that particular branch. Those scums of the earth were long-time criminals, drug lords, pushers, and scammers who ran out of money and lied to the boss that they'd pay but run off to another country to hide from him. They'd always forget that there are other branches in other countries which easily informed us to their whereabouts."

I sighed. I wonder. "Brother Harvey, How many people have you killed?" I asked.

"Two hundred eighty-three." He said in a whisper. "Aren't you scared of me, Caro?" He said as he leaned into me.

I shook my head. "I know you're a good person. I trust you and I look up to you." I smiled. "You've always protected me and supported me through the years. I thought you knew that." I jokingly tease him.

He laughed. "Pfft. Of course, I do."

I looked at him with an "uh-huh" face. "Then why did you ask me if you knew?"

He gave me a warm smile. "Just to make sure. Now, turn around so I can finish brushing your hair."

"But my hair is okay now." I protested.

"I don't have long hair like you. Just let me have this moment, okay?" He said. I groaned and turned back around as he offered another storytime to which I gladly listen to.
