Chapter 29: Hell Pursuer

Kali and the black serpent are now traveling towards the place where he got teleported when he first enter the beast realm.

"we're here," Kali said to the black serpent.

He is still heavily injured which is why he avoided every savage beast that they ran across with.

When they arrived he didn't immediately look for the beast realm gate, instead, he decided to take a rest first and recover his energy since he doesn't know what might welcome him outside the beast realm. He rested for the whole day and meditate while night, the black serpent did the same since the Demon Panda is injured, he is the only one who can protect Kali at the moment.

Morning came and Kali started looking for the gate.

He searched for the whole morning and when he found the gate he felt something weird, the whole beast realm is quiet as if there is no one inside, this made Kali suspicious.

He is now standing in front of the gate and he made one last look towards the beast realm before entering the gate.

Outside the gate.

It is bustling with activity people are walking back and forth, there are vendors everywhere, the outside of the gate is filled with people that are waiting for their loved ones and friends who entered the beast realm, but those waiting outside are not only family and friends.

On one of the roofs of a restaurant nearby a black-cloaked figure is hiding, waiting for someone to appear from the gate, he looked on his left and saw that the other cloaked man is in position and he also looked on his right where another black-cloaked figure just arrived and then they nodded at each other.

It is not just the black-cloaked group of people, there is also a group of light blue-dressed people wearing white masks waiting for someone to appear from the gate, these groups of people are all master stage best contractors.

After a few minutes, Kali appeared, walking out of the gate along with the others who left the beast realm at the same time as him.

" huh!? " he felt as if someone is watching him, his eyes roamed the whole area looking for someone when he didn't see someone suspicious on the ground he looked up at the roof of the buildings, he a group of black-cloaked figures and the light blue dressed men.

He didn't panic and acted as if nothing happened.

" Did he see us? " one of the black-cloaked figures asked his subordinate.

" I don't think so, but still be careful, though he is just a kid he still managed to escape from the Hell Pursuer," said the black-cloaked figure who seems to be the leader of the group.

" is that the kid? " one of the light blue dressed men asked the person wearing a white mask with a blood-colored pupil pattern on its forehead, he is the leader of the group.

" he matches the young master's description that must be him " the leader of the light blue dressed men said.

When Kali walked out of the beast realm gate enemies are not the only ones waiting for him.

" oh look he's over there " a female voice erupted.

" hey! Hey! " said the youth wearing gray-colored clothes.

" over here! " said the other youth wearing dark green clothes.

The three people calling Kali are Banu, Banjo, and Bini, whom Kali met inside the shadow woods.

Kali looked over their direction and met Banu's eyes, then continue on his way, Banu realized Kali's intention.

" hey brother I'm calling you " Banjo continue to call Kali, Banu held his shoulder.

"Stop calling him," said Banu.

" But why? " Bini asked curiously.

"it's clear they he saw us too, he even looked in our direction " Bini added.

" stop calling him and go home! " Banu said to Bini and Banjo.

" why? " Banjo and Bini said in unison.

" don't ask just do what I say! " Banu shouted at them.

The two didn't fight and went home together.

Meanwhile, Banu walks the same route Kali walked.

" you're here," Kali said while sitting on a dark corridor tending to his wounds that still haven't healed.

" What happened to you? " Banu asked worriedly.

" you don't have to know that, the reason I asked you to follow me is to ask you a favor, " Kali said.

" sure, I and my family are very thankful to you for saving our lives, what it is that you me to do, " Banu said.

" Here take this " Kali gave Banu a pouch and his spare beast ring.

" what should I do with this? " Banu asked while holding the pouch and ring.

" inside the ring is a rare, young apprentice stage savage beast with great potential, I want you to sell it, and about that pouch, go to the alchemist association they know what to do with that and use the money you got from the savage beast to pay for the alchemist's service " Kali instructed Banu.

" I see I can do that, but why are you asking me to do this, and why are we hiding here in this dark corridor? " Banu asked.

" There are people after me, I ask you to meet me here to avoid their eyes, plus if they saw us outside talking to each other closely, they might target you and your family too," Kali said.

" I see, don't worry I will make sure to do the things you asked me for, " Banu said with conviction.

" Meet me here again after a week, " Kali said before disappearing in the dark.

On a room inside a certain inn.

" where is he? " the cloaked man who Kali fought inside the beast realm asked the leader of the group he dispatched to follow Kali.

" it seems like we lost him, boss," said the leader of the group nervously while half kneeling in front of the person he's calling boss who is also called the hell pursuer.

Hell pursuer is one of the few master stage beast contractors who received a unique title, unique titles are only usually given to beast contractors of the grandmaster stage and displayed a great strength or achievement.

" what!? He is just a kid how did he escape from the three of you!? " hell pursuer shouted at his subordinates.

" we will find his boss don't worry," said the leader of the group.

The same scene is happening inside the room where the light blue-dressed masked man is half kneeling in front of a young kid.

" you guys are useless my father is paying you a great amount of money yet you can't even follow a kid properly " the one who said those words is young master Quinn whom Kali defeated inside the old castle ruins.

" I'm sorry young master, but we will find him," said the leader of the group, their squad belongs to the famous snow wind brigade of the house Quinn, they are in charge of protecting the members of the family and following their orders, they received training in reconnaissance and killing.

Outside the Fambre City.

Kali is removing his bandages to replace them and treat his wounds, the black serpent is beside him guarding him.

He is hiding in the nearby woods outside the Fambre City, although he will be safer inside the city since fighting is prohibited, he does want those looking for him to watch his every move and discover his connection with the Delmar Family, and also he is setting up traps and familiarizing himself in the woods so he will be able to escape easily when the rim comes.

" oh! You're already here " Banu said when he arrived at the dark corridor and saw Kali waiting for him, Kali didn't say anything, Banu felt awkward si he immediately gave Kali a pouch and three bottles of black-colored liquid.

Kali received the pouch and the bottles and check their contents.

" What is this " Kali asked Banu about the pouch of gold coins.

" the alchemist who did the concoction didn't accept your payment and said that he is thankful that you let him work with such rare materials, he said that there is no need to pay him, " Banu said.

Kali just nodded, the pouch he gave Banu to bring to the alchemist contains the dark void stone, the crystal heart, and hundreds of dark crystals.

" I see, " Kali said before putting the hundreds of gold coins he earned from the sale of the silver spiked crocodile inside his inventory box, he also put the three bottles of dark liquid inside the inventory box.

" whoa is that can inventory box? It is my first time to see someone from the young generation possess such an expensive item " Banu said in amazement as he watch Kali's actions.

" Here take this " Kali gave something to Banu and it made Banu speechless.

" This I cannot accept this " Banu tried to refuse it.

" take it I have no use for it anymore, you can do anything you want with it, " Kali said and smiled at Banu before he disappeared in the dark again.

" thank you," Banu said on Kali's disappearing figure.

After he finished his meeting with Kali Banu returned home.

" brother where is he? " Banjo asked, he is eager to see Kali again, when Kali defeated the shadow alpha wolf he began to idolize Kali though Kali is younger than him.

" he already left, " Banu said.

His words made Banjo and Bini sad.

" did you at least find out what his name was?" Bini asked Banu.

" no, I didn't ask him, don't worry if fate allows it we will meet him again," Banu said as he smile.

" now that I have this I should leave this place immediately," Kali said to himself as he is walking toward the gate. He felt something from behind so he turn around and saw two groups of people running at full speed towards him.

" shit! " Kali cursed and started running towards the woods outside the city.
