Chapter 28: Who Are You?

Kali continues to roam the beast realm and on his way, he fought some group of beast contractors that wants to rob him, the beast realm is a lawless place only those who have the strength to protect themselves will survive, Kali who is inside the beast realm for two and a half months witnessed countless deaths and in various ways too, some are betrayed by their friends and companions, some are assassinated, soma is ambushed, while the others are killed in a head-on fight, those scenes would have acted other kids of Kali's age but not him, he entered this beast realm expecting this kind of occurrence, so he steeled his heart and expect for the worse.

He is now fighting a pseudo master stage blood savage ape with his Demon Panda he's been training the Demon Panda this past few weeks and making it experience various fights and scenarios that will help improve its fighting sense.

" Demon Panda use shadow punch, don't let it get away " Kali instructed the demon Panda.

" the Demon Panda roared at the blood savage ape, it is mad because the blood savage ape has managed to injure his left arm, after the roar it use dark strike and dashed towards the blood savage ape and use shadow punch the blood savage ape is taken aback because of the Demon panda's speed, it tried to block the attack but the strength of the shadow punch made it fly a few meters away before hitting a huge tree, the blood savage ape glared at the Demon Panda it tries to stand up but its body is weakened because of the attack, the Demon Panda slowly walk towards the blood savage ape, when it arrived in front of the ape its right paw revealed its ferocious claws and quickly slashed the blood savage ape's neck killing it in an instant, after killing the blood savage ape the Demon Panda uses its claws to open up its chest and took away the best crystal.

" good job, keep the beast crystal it's your reward, " Kali said and pet the Demon Panda, the Demon Panda let out a few small roars.

Kali and Demon Panda took a few hours of rest before they continue on their way, there are only at least two weeks before the gate of the beast realm closes so Kali decided to start his journey back to the beast realm gate.

After three days of traveling Kali and Demon Panda reached the Gray steel mountains, he didn't enter the castle ruins and use the tunnel entrance connected to the gray steel mountains because he has traveled far away from the castle ruins and his position is much closer to the gray steel mountains than the castle ruins.

Those who enter the beast realm will find the place where they wind up to when they enter the beast realm because that is the place where the gate will appear again so everyone is starting to go back to where they first appeared when they enter the beast realm, Kali is on his way towards the shadow woods where he met the Demon Panda and it is the oath he used to reach the gray steel mountains, the shadow woods is the closest territory to the place where he is teleported to.

He and Demon Panda entered the shadow and are now resting, there is a bonfire in front of them where Kali roasts meat for his dinner.

" hello there young man, based on your appearance, your umbrella, and your savage beast, you must be the person who defeated the young master of the house Quinn " Kali heard a hoarse voice from above, he looked up and saw a dark cloaked figure sitting on a tree branch looking down on him.

" Who are you? Did young master Quinn send you to deal with me, you are not an apprentice beast contractor so you should be unable to enter this beast realm but you still did meaning you are not simple " Kali calmly asked the cloaked figure and assessed his strength in just a glance.

A black-colored dog with goat-like horns and flaming paws appeared beside the cloaked man.

" hellhound! " Kali immediately recognized the savage beast that the cloaked man summoned.

" when the cloaked man was about to use his dagger to cut off the Bind his hellhound howled again, but when he was about to turn around he felt something is approaching him from behind when he completely turned around what he saw is black serpent's vicious fangs coming towards him, he was about to retreat but his feet are still tied to the ground so he has no choice but to block, he put his hands and dagger in front of him to block the black serpent but the black serpent gracefully evaded his hands in midair and it's fangs successfully landed on his right shoulder, black serpent quickly retreated after successfully attacking the cloaked man and slithered towards Kali who is now just watching everything from afar, after a few moments the black serpent arrived at Kali's position.

" good job, let's go I don't think that he will die from that so we should leave this place immediately.

Kali was right the cloaked man immediately took medicine from his inventory box and quickly drank it, it is an antidote that can cure normal poison, black serpent's corrosive poison is a type of normal poison.

" that kid got me " the cloaked man approached his hellhound after drinking his antidote and gave his savage beast an antidote as well.

He cannot chase Kali right now because of his and his hellhound's injuries that is why he decided to stop his chase and continue it when he got out of the beast realm.

Kali who just escape the cloaked man is not in a good condition either his injuries are much worse than the cloaked man, he received a wound on his chest from the cloaked man's dagger.

Kali is now leaning on a tree near a lake while he is trying to treat his injuries he pours some medicine directly on his wounds and he drank some medicine too after that he dressed his chest wound with the bandages he brought with him, after treating his injuries he summoned black serpent back to the beast ring and summoned the Demon Panda, the Demon panda's injuries are also not light so Kali quickly treated it.

" We have to get out of here soon," Kali said as he was treating the Demon panda's injuries.

" I am still too weak, although black serpent managed to defeat the hellhound if is only because it is already tired from fighting the demon panda, and I only manage to escape by using cheap tricks, I need to get out of here quickly and make the black serpent undergo its first evolution and reach the master stage " Kali assessed hi and his savage beasts' strength.
