chapter 21 Sorting ceremony

As night descended, Sasuke and Kin felt the Hogwarts Express slow down. An announcement reverberated along the train corridor: "Please leave your luggage on the train."

Sasuke grabbed two compact ninja bags, giving one to Kin with a firm instruction, "Hold onto this tightly."

The ninja bag, seemingly diminutive from the exterior, was deceptively spacious, designed to hold an array of ninja tools and emergency provisions. The most vital items, however, he had already secured within the system space.

While their suitcase only carries books, a toothbrush, and some clothes, which can easily be bought again, Sasuke decided to leave them behind to lighten his load.

The Hogwarts Express came to a stop, and the students spilled out onto the platform.

They were greeted by the sight of Hagrid, the gamekeeper, saying, "First-year freshman here!"

As they reached the boats, Hagrid shouted, "No more than four people per boat!" while pointing to a group of wooden boats moored on the shore.

Sasuke and Kin get to their boat, and Hermione and Neville also join them. Sasuke looks at Hermione, whom he hasn't seen for the last few days.

She seemed to be a little embarrassed and nervous, but her face wasn't pink like the girls he always meets in a world he didn't know was an effect of a different skin color or a different world.

Professor McGonagall mentioned her neighbors were also going to Hogwarts so she could study with them if she wanted, but she completely forgot about that and just continued her studies by herself.

As onto boats glided across the dark waters of the Black Lake, there was silence on the boat till it's reach the shores of Hogwarts.

As they disembarked from the boats, Sasuke and Kin found themselves standing before the entrance to the castle; behind them, Hermione and Neville were standing

They were greeted by Professor McGonagall, who led them into the hall, where the sorting ceremony was to take place. The hall was ablaze with candlelight, its enchanted ceiling depicting a starry night sky. At the front of the room sat the faculty of Hogwarts, including Headmaster Dumbledore.

The first-years lined up nervously at the front of the hall as Professor McGonagall stepped forward, a long parchment scroll in hand.

"Welcome, students, to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," she announced, her voice echoing through the hall. "Before we begin the Sorting Ceremony, I would like to remind you of the four houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its unique qualities, and it is your character that will determine where you belong."

Professor McGonagall unrolled the parchment scroll and began calling out names. One by one, the first-years stepped forward to be sorted into their respective houses.

As the ceremony progressed, finally, it was Sasuke's turn. He approached the stool at the front of the hall, where the sorting hat awaited.

"Hmm, a difficult decision, indeed," a voice echoed in Sasuke's mind as the Sorting Hat deliberated. "You possess great ambition, but you are not cunning enough, yet there is also courage without any loyalty to anyone Where shall I place you?" I could feel your desire for knowledge, but it's not pure. "Ah, yes, I see. I could feel your desire to prove something. You belong in... SLYTHERIN!"

There were very few people who clapped for Sasuke on the Slytherin table, as Sasuke removed the Sorting Hat and made his way to his new house,

Next to him, Kin was assigned to Ravenclaw, and as they settled at their new tables, Sasuke couldn't understand why she was placed in Ravenclaw. He felt disappointed, realizing he would lose many system points because he couldn't carry on his activities with Kin.

Thinking about how to get system points, Sasuke look around the Slytherin table to see if there is any interesting senior he could pick up. Sasuke also need to think about how to convince them.

After Dumbledore announced some rules, everyone finally started to eat their food.

After dinner, the freshmen were guided to their rooms to sleep.
