Entering the Hunter Guild I did some research about hunting dogs that are bred with strong genes that are the best of the best.
And color me surprised that I could find one in the Hunter Guild in the Vale Branch entering the parts of the Guild building while I meet up with one of their members as she speaks, "Hello their kid. Are you a Huntsman-in-training? Beacon Academy, right? The one Glynda recommended by the name of… Jack Nights?"
Nodding my head the lady Huntress introduced herself to me showing me some dogs around the area along with some birds and different assortments of animals inside getting me confused by this.
Turning around to meet the lady she began to explain to me with a confused expression on my face having her hand to her hip talking to me, "Looks like you don't seem to know what's up. Let me explain. Each Hunter usually goes by themselves on missions but sometimes we can't trust those with us hence we need a loyal hunter companion like the pets around here. You get me?"
Nodding my head in agreement the lady continued to talk explaining there are times when a Huntsman having a trusty loyal animal to safeguard their kids is generally a good thing because of their bonds together.
Essentially Pokémon in a sense protect one another supporting to each other.
Could make sense… I guess?
Shaking my head I began to look around the place trying to find one that would be good for me in the long run.

Searching around only a few of these Hunter Pets are a bit on the low side as all of them seem to be babies and some are pretty old but wary of me.

Frowning a bit, I tried to look around some of them beginning to lose some hope since everything looks to be a bit different.

Blinking my eyes a bit I go over to where my screen told me looking at one of the pups inside its pin with the other small ones looking like babies but only one of them seems to be very high level than the rest of the animals I see.
"Woof!"
Taking a careful look this time, I see a small white and gray Shiba Inu with black eyes. The small white and grey pup looking at me with a smile on its face barking at me and wagging its tail around looking at me and seeing him I used my <Observe> to see how strong is this little guy.

That's interesting.
He seems pretty strong and his store stats could help me out with where to place them.
Looking at the dog in front of me wagging its tail I asked the person taking care of them of the little pup that I picked up, "How about this guy? He seems like a real cheerful fella?"
The lady smiled at this as she nodded in my choice but with a small smile on her face as she talked to me, "Sure. But this little guy is in the rut of his family. I was planning to send him to a proper home but if you take him this will make the little guy happy. Any name for him?"
A name huh?

Smiling a bit, I think I have a proper name for the little pup from a good game series while speaking to the lady, "I think I'll name this little guy… Koromaru but Koro for short. How about it little guy?"
*Whimper*
"Arf! Woof!"
Happily nodding at this listening to the little guy whimper looking appeased at this I scratches its head as the lady began to talk to me in the Hunters Guild, "Of course. An excellent name now then I just need you to do a few things before you are ready to take this guy home."
Agreeing it took some time to adopt my party member…

Having Koro running around the ruined path to Mt. Glenn's underground pathway I called him here with a smile, "Come here Koro! I got your favorite dog treats."
He stopped and quickly come to me as I get ready to form a party with Koro to help adjust his strength and awaken his aura. If I'm lucky maybe unlock his Semblance.
As Koro eats the dog food, I began to chant mentally to Koro awakening his aura.
*Shiii*
Awakening Koro Aura I began to talk out loud to Koro forming a party with my dog and beginning to name our team, "Alright Koro since we're going on the grind time to invite you in a private setting. Party create. 'Grind'. Invite Koromaru."
"Woof…?"
Surprised was certainly evident on his face but with a simple paw, Koro move his paw clicking to join the party.

Now time to adjust Koromaru's stats a bit and see what he can do. Might as well add some physical boost considering how dangerous it is against Grimm, I want him to move around fast enough to avoid some nasty Grimm.
And maybe add a bit of LUCK on him to be luckier than the average person... eh dog. I bet some people will roll around their graves to know this dog is luckier than them.

A shining golden hue surrounded Koro seeing his Aura color is comparable to pure darkness as he runs around me barking in joy, "Woof! Woof!"
Rubbing its head as it whimpers, I saw Koro's shadow begin to form creating a complete duplicate of it as he turns around and was on guard both of them running around each other trying to catch each other's tails.
Well, this is cute.
I wonder…

Ok sounds simple enough plus I can train my new dog in the meantime.
Petting my dog, he climbed over my shoulder staying there for a bit and having to climb to my head having his mouth open as I sigh at my hunter dog, "Sigh… well you are a pup, so you get a pass. Just don't pee or shit on me ok?"

I'll take that as a yes from you Koro.
Walking into the deep train tracks using my <Observe> skill I began to avoid some Grimm fights if at all possible because this is a literal death trap inside a place like this.
I only have about 2 weeks for the break and I need a place for me to stay in the meantime since the crazy quack hides it pretty well no one would bother with it missing plus it already has a place inside at the ready.
With my <Technopathy> I can control it for free.
"Grrr…"
Hearing a growling sound from my pup he backed down on the ground as his shadow pop out glaring at the Grimm Beowolves in front of us as I got my weapons at the ready.
Sigh…

Suddenly enough Koro managed to kill off the Beowolves as the shadows around me with the little light inside this underground tunnel began to become solid with eyes and teeth like that of a dog with many red eyes glaring at the Grimm.
I took a small look at my dog with a grin on my face as I give him the command, "Sick 'em boy!"
"Woof!"
*WOOSH*
Like that Koro <Shadow Control> began to rip and tear the Grimm while making sure to keep things on the cool down with any Grimm coming our way soon getting beat up thanks to Koro Semblance with me holding him.
Using <Aura Amp> on Koro he began to get a massive boost in power. Like that, I only saw what was best described as a massacre happened with Koro Semblance <Shadow Control> began to rip and tear all the nearby Grimm in the underground.
Each shadow began to attack like Pride from FMAB biting and tearing through their vulnerable skin biting them down while some shadows took form from Alucard's darkness dog…
