Chapter 18: to meet at another location

they got out of the school permises. the car started and they drove to Hiori's home.

Inside the car, four people are seated at the back and two at the shotgun seat. they put their seatbelt in.

they continued driving, they passed through street by street.

it was not a peaceful drive, as the car engine is a bit loud the zombies could hear it and once they do the zombies would start running at the car.

It happened a lot of times already and every time it would almost endangered their lives, the last one that it happened, multiple zombies hit on the same spot at the window and it made crack. Hitting it one more the glass would break.

Making a turn at the corner Rui-senei quickly stepped on the break! making a sudden stop they leaned forward! then backward after. this made them dizzy for a second.

Rui-sensei slightly shook her head ''is everyone alright?'' she unbuckled her seatbelt as she asked then she looked behind her, seeing that everyone is alright she sighed in relief.

Watanabe Rui then looked in front of her, she saw someone wearing something like a white coat standing just a step away from the car, 'I almost hit her' she said in her thought.

wearing the 'white' coat, a woman with a disheveled hair, though her coat is dirty her inner clothes seemed clean and she's wearing a blue laced ID. She slowly opened her eyes and feeling that she didn't feel the pain she expected, her legs gave out. she falls down hitting her bum at the asphalt ground making a thud.

Rui got out of the car quickly when she saw her fall, she went to her and she extended her hands as she asks the woman in front of her ''are you alright?''

the woman reached for Rui's hand the latter supported her, pulling her with all of her strength but she didn't expect that she was light...?

'huh?'

the woman falling forward and her face landed to hers bumbing their forehead.

they both hissed in pain, a sweet laugh came from the woman's mouth, showing her two dimples.

then she introduced herself ''Hi, im Xingyi a doctor. intern doctor at xx hospital'' she said in a lower tone.

Rui returned the gesture, ''Im Rui, Watanabe Rui. I'm a teacher''

... ...

at the convenience store, clothes tattered. three days ago Matsuri decided to go out and meet up with Hiori, Kei and Saki stopped her at first but they still can't stop her so they came along.

but what they didn't expect is that, they were surrounded by zombies outside the store.

Hiori, Kei, and Saki stepped outside, assuming a lot of zombies wondering about but to their surprise the street...the road was rather empty as if the zombie breakout didn't happened in the first place, if they ignored the dried blood splattered on the asphalt road.

the three of them shared a look at each other, with that shared look they part ways to look around and for the corners of the store.

Kei went to the left side corner of the store they took shelter with, there was an alleyway at the end of it was a dark like shadow he took a deep breathe, then he proceed cautiously, he walk step by step... as he get closer to the shadow like spot the clearer view he got.

His breath caught, his sweat dripped down to his temple to his cheeks. he took a step back.

what he saw in there was a fully packed of zombies. they were so close to one another that it made them look like a shadow from afar.

as he took a step back he stepped on a tin can, it made a crackling noise as it gets bend, the zombies ears twitched as they heard the noise. The zombies turned around and started running towards him!

Kei started running away when he stepped on the can, He shouted loudly "GUYS!! GET INSIDE QUICKLY!!!!"

Saki and Matsuri saw the same shadow like thing when they checked the other corners just before they could aproach it closely they heard Kei's alarming shout they turned around as they heard a familiar snarl 'shit' they shouted at their head!

they started running, getting away at the alleyway and got trapped at the middle of the road! They fought for their lives. they stabbed, whacked, they did everything to survive. They even started swinging randomly for desperation!

luckily they didn't hit each other but they're too many for the three of them to handle.

as they moved in bigger moves, their clothes got teared who knows when it started.

but they didn't notice it, as they are too busy to think of such trivial thing.

... ...

at the school on the second floor in one of the classroom, that same classroom filled with pained groaning Yuki and Shoto talked for a long time then they decided to make a plan.

Yuki: "we can't keep on staying here, who knows when we'll ran out of food"

Shoto: "you're right but will we survive the harsh reality outside this classroom? we're not a fighter let alone have a weapon to arm ourselves"

Yuki: "we can take the knife at the cafeteria, make a weapon out of the mops and brooms or dustpans"

Shoto: "then let's stay here first till we gathered enough weapon"

Yuki "that's good too"

as they have a conversation, their other friend aproach them. He was sweaty from doing it. he asked them "are the two of you not doing it?" he then grinned.

Yuki and Shoto shared a look then they answered at the same time

"of course we will, can't miss this chance right?"

the three of them laughed maniacally

Yuki then stood up and he took a look at the girls who's terribly scared. Yuki stoppped in front of the girl who's hair is similar to Mumei. He then grabbed the girl on her shoulder then he whispered to her ears "you're name from now on is Mumei"

Her heart stopped when she heard it, she shook her head "please don't do this" she pleaded

Yuki smiled, He took a sniff on her neck then he licked it next "Mumei doesn't beg" he said while his forefinger rubbing her ears.

'mom...somebody please help me' tears flow down her eyes as she asks for help in her thought.

Yuki turned around then he said to his friends "that girl is mine, don't touch her"

they nodded.

their other friend who approach them earlier was named Toya.

"then can we touch the others?" he said as he clasps his hands together

"Go ahead just don't over do it" Yuki answered waving his hand as he walk away

feeling overjoyed Toya walked over to the others as he shouted "Great!! Guys let's have a feast hehehe"

... ...

the once cramped car got even crampier.

Rui offered Xingyi to join them and she nodded. Rui then introduced their new friend asked them if she could join. Hiori and the others agreed there's no need to think too deeply about it.

and so she got in at the backseat. Kaede sat on where their feet are and the doctor sat on the seat.

Kaede stay seated there not for long as they already arrived infront of Hiori's household, it only took them ten minnutes.

Hiori, Kaede and Haru went out first. They got rid of the few zombies around then Hiori opened the gate. the rest quickly got out of the car and walked passed the gate.

Rui parked the car leaving a small space between the car's bumper and the gate then she also went inside.

Hiori closed the gate then she walked pass the group to knock at the door

"..."

she knocked again

"..."

no one answered, she took out her spare key and opened the door

she quickly went inside, she ran around and saw that it was clean. no blood splatters. she calmed herself down as she took a deep breathe.

'they're fine... they have to be... Mm I'm sure they are.' she said to assure herself.

she walked to the door then she said "everyone, come in"

they didn't say anything, they went inside.

"check if the water is running" Rui said

Hiori ran to the kitchen and turn the faucet on, water ran splashing as it hit the sink.

"sensei the water is running, everyone can take a bath. there are two bathrooms here. one at the second floor, the farthest room. and the other is in that room" she pointed at her parents bedroom.

"Alright! I call dibs on taking the first bath at the second floor!" Kaede shouted excitedly

"then I'm after you" Haru calmly said

Hiori walked to Mumei then she whispered to her ear "you can go to my older sister's room, take your time bathing there..."

Mumei's ears blushed then she nodded.

Inoue tugged on Hiori's dirty sleeves then she said "senpai, can I take a bath first?"

Hiori nodded "yeah go ahead, there's a clean towel inside the bathroom, as for the clothes...I'll leave it at the bed later"

Inoue nodded then she bolted out and went towards the room
