When You Start to Have Feelings Towards Each Other

Ever since you and Rocket hung out at the shooting range and had lunch together, he's been a little more open and talkative than when you first joined them. Since then, you feel like you two can become friends. 

Right now, you and the team are fighting off some ugly creature with over a dozen tentacles in the grass fields of a planet you recently landed on. While everyone is taking down each tentacle that is coming at them, you use your powers to shoot large fireballs at the creature, but you also make sure that you don't accidentally hit your team with them. 

That's when you hear someone laughing not too far from you. Looking to your right, you see Rocket shooting at the creature with his gun before the tentacle almost slams down on him, but he quickly moves out of the way. Just as you are about to run to help him, while the tentacle is on the ground, he jumps on it and runs towards it. 

He reloads the gun in less than three seconds before the tentacle he's on raises into the air, thus making Rocket jump and aim at one of the creature's eyes. He fires, and it's a perfect eyeshot. But he doesn't stop there. He fires five more times, and all shots hit the creature in its eyes.

Rocket: Get some you ugly shit!

As he's in the air, you see and hear him laugh as he is firing at the creature. He lands another tentacle before jumping onto the ground. It's amazing how cunning and brave he is. It makes you admire him even more to see him laugh and smile like that.

...Later that day...

You're in your room after you and everyone killed the creature and helped the villagers butcher it for them to eat. As you changed clothes, you couldn't help but think about Rocket. 

Even from when you first saw him in wanted posters, there was always something about him that you really liked. But now, every time you see him, you want to talk to him, or even just standing next to him, is enough to make you happy.

He's the first thing you think about in the morning and the last thing before you fall asleep. You also find yourself nervous around him, yet you want to know more about him. You want to know everything about him really.

You also feel more safe with Rocket than anyone else. Even back when you had guards following you whenever you went outside the castle walls, just Rocket alone by your side is more than enough to make you feel completely safe.

Is it just you who feels this way? You can't explain this part, but it feels like a small invisible line comes out of your chest and it's trying to reach him whenever you see him. You don't know if he feels the same way, or if he even sees you as a potential girlfriend. So, should you tell him how you feel?

...Rocket's POV...

He's in his room working on another bomb since he had to use most of them at the creature earlier today. But as he's trying to focus on setting the wires, his mind is running with thoughts of you.

From the moment he saw you to now, the feelings are becoming unbearable to keep pushing down. Since the day he recused you, there hasn't been a day where he didn't think about you. 

As much as he didn't like to admit it, he was jealous of Quill. But he was happy to know that you said you'll only see Quill as a brother and nothing more. 

He still feels nervous being around you, but at the same time, there's also a euphoric feeling he gets. While he tries to avoid making it obvious, he enjoys staring at you; he really likes to hear your voice, and seeing you smiling puts him at ease. He's traveled a lot in this galaxy and has seen things like new stars and countless moons forming, but it's your eyes that he'd rather see. 

And he gets this weird feeling whenever he sees you. Even though you two aren't dating, it feels as if you two are somehow connected. He doesn't know how to explain that part, but that's just how he's been feeling since the day he saw you.

He's debating on asking you to go out for a couple of drinks with him. That'll give him more time to be with you alone than going with the rest of the group.
